Expedia bogus bundle
Expedia provides good information about available flights, lodging etc., but they are also misleading. When making travel plans, I was offered an added rental car for $1/day. Sounds great, but it actually seemed to cost me $30/day. Eventually, I was able to conduct an on-line chat with someone whose ultimate explanation was that other parts of the purchase must have been discounted. But my math says that's not so. If the bundles offer false promises of savings, buying direct from airlines, hotels, and car rental companies makes sense. Expedia doesn't.
