My experience with Outdoorsy support…
My experience with Outdoorsy support has been extremely disappointing. For more than a week, I was passed between five different support representatives, having to explain the exact same issue over and over again. Instead of investigating the problem, each person seemed to start from scratch without reading the previous messages. The issue was simple: users in South Africa have been unable to access both the Outdoorsy website and app since 16 July. Despite repeatedly explaining that this was not an issue with my personal account or IP address, support continued insisting that it was only affecting me. In the end, the only “solution” offered was for me to download and pay for a VPN. That is not a fix—it is merely a workaround that bypasses the problem. I even provided screenshots showing: * No access without a VPN. * No access while connected to a South African VPN server. * Immediate access when connected to a UK VPN server. This clearly demonstrates that the problem is location-related, yet the technical team never acknowledged it or properly investigated it. After spending over a week going back and forth with five different support agents, the ticket was simply closed because I had found my own workaround—not because the issue had actually been resolved. I expected much better technical support from a company of this size. Customers should not have to pay for a VPN just to access a service they are already paying for.
