用户怎么说

Very bad app.

Very bad app. It won't accept my bank card even though it approves the bank I use. Its asking to take photos of my bank card both sides, passport, bank statements and photo aproval. Thats a red flag, all my personals just to prove I'm me. Going to China and now I don't know what to do. Such a disappointment.

**Alipay for Foreign Users

**Alipay for Foreign Users — (and Quick Guide to Alipay CUSTOMER SERVICE) **What it's for:** "The international Alipay app (Google Play) is for foreign visitors paying inside China — not for use at home outside China. You can install it now, upload your passport, photo, and link it to your bank account — but expect your account to be locked after a few days by the algorithms. **Why accounts get locked:** Browsing videos or travel guides in the app from outside China triggers a lock. It's a payment app — not YouTube. Alipay has no interest in you using their resources without spending a penny. If the Customer Service helps you to unlock, the algorithms will automatically lock you again after 2-3 days!!! **Before your trip:** Contact Alipay human customer service ~2 days before departure, request an unlock, then avoid opening any video content. Account is then ready for payments in China (taxis, food, coffee, etc.). **Travel Wallet option inside the app** (if you dont want to bind your Visa to Alipay) A prepaid wallet for foreign users — top up via app Wise or Revolut. - Spend only inside China - Cannot withdraw funds once added - Annual limit: 1,000 CNY per person

xtremely Frustrating Verification…

xtremely Frustrating Verification Process I downloaded Alipay only because I was trying to pay the import duty on a birthday package I sent to my beautiful daughter in China. I had never shipped anything to China before and wanted to make sure she would not have to pay anything to receive her own birthday gift. I added my bank card, submitted photographs of my passport, and provided all the requested personal information. My account was then restricted and placed under review. After I appealed, I was told that the restriction had been lifted, but when I tried again, the account was placed under review once more. The instructions have been confusing, the process has taken far too long, and I have still been unable to make the payment. My beautiful daughter may now have to pay the customs charge herself so that she can receive her present. In the United States, it seems there is no straightforward way for the sender to pay the taxes and import duties on the other end so that a loved one can receive a package without having to pay for it. I do want to mention that the DHL representatives in China were very helpful and informative. They tried very hard to make this happen and did everything they could, but ultimately they were unable to resolve the payment issue. International customers need a much clearer verification process and a reliable way to pay duties and taxes on behalf of the recipient.

Be very careful when using Alipay…

Alipay has a Travel Wallet app which supposedly allows users to buy Chinese Yuan and store them in the travel wallet for use when traveling in China. When I tried buying S$1000 worth of it, Panda Remit immediately withdrew the S$1000 from my bank account but the transfer of this amount to Chinese Yuan failed as I was required to provide evidence of my impending travel to China and despite uploading flight ticket receipts it was rejected. So the transaction failed and Alipay said in note in the app that the S$1000 would be refunded back to my account. It’s been two weeks since and the refund hasn’t been made. I spent some $70 making an international call to Alipay and after more than 40 minutes of being transferred from one party to another, they insisted on me calling Panda Remit for clarification instead of taking responsibility for this transaction. I’m not sure if this is a scam so I’m reporting this matter to the police in Singapore but wanted to share this with everybody out there so that you can take the necessary precautions in using Alipay.

I wanted to top up my travel wallet on…

I wanted to top up my travel wallet on alipay and was guided to use panda remit. I sent it from Austria to panda remit and from panda remit they never succeeded to send it to Alipay. When I called Alipay they blamed Panda remit and panda remit app blamed Alipay. Instead of informing me, they did nothing and my money was just vanishing in the air with pandaremit. The official panda remit app shows a notice that alipay can not receive it. Well I need reasons! Now I hope they process my refund from pandaremit like promised in the customer chat. Not fun! And both couldnt tell me why. No efficiency. I was hoping for detailed answers like "a document is missing" etc. Tiring and not trustworthy. I called the customer service center and always got kicked out from the line (alipay) and they always transfered. Deadend. They coulf not see any pending payment blabla. All in all not recommendable and traumatizing.

Can not access my accoun or unlink my bank card

I understand that Alipay may restrict an account after multiple failed login attempts for security reasons. In my case, the failed attempts happened because I misread my own handwritten password note: a “5” looked like an “S”. I entered the correct password on the fourth attempt, but my account had already been restricted. I contacted customer service and completed identity verification. However, I was told that my account could not be unlocked. I then asked for a simple security solution: if I cannot regain access, can Alipay at least remove my linked Australian bank card or close the account? The answer was no. I was told that I could not access the account, could not unlink my card, and could not cancel the account. I was not asking to restore payment functions. I only wanted control over my own payment information and a way to safely stop using the service. A frozen account should not mean a verified user permanently loses the ability to manage their own linked payment methods. Overseas users especially need a clear process for unlinking cards and closing accounts.

A Master Class of how not to design an app

Probably the worst app going, but touted as an 'essential' app for China. Fortunately, that is not true at all. Cash is just fine nearly everywhere. 1. The verification process is terrible, frustrating and designed to want you to leave China. 2. You will be asked for a Mainland Chinese Bank Card details to complete verification even if using the so-called international version of the app. You can't get past this as alternative methods aren't available. You therefore often cannot complete verification. 3. This app is a scammers dream. Foreigners are likely to lose a lot of money because everything is so muddled, complex, poorly designed and unituitive. 4. The translation feature only works some of the time, and is often garbled English. 5. The so-called international verstion is only about 70% in English. 30% is still in Chinese, including many of the apps, messages, pop-ups and instructions. 6. Help of any kind except auto-response or AI stuff is non-existent. When you lose money or have been scammed, it's gone forever. 7. The app is not designed for foreigners and has clearly never been properly quality control tested at any level with native English foreigners. In particular, it has not been designed with older people in mind, who will find this a nightmare. 8. WeChat is even worse. 9. Do not be afraid of cash! It works everywhere. Also, I noticed that Wise has just introduced QR code payments but have yet to try out that option. 10. Overall, an absolutely horrendous app, that will make your'holiday' in China very stressful and frustrating. All in all, this app says - 'Foreigners go home. China doesn't want you here'.

Tedious and Frustrating to even start using it…

Quite simply the most tedious and frustrating app I have ever registered with. Having read that it was a compulsory thing to have for my trip to China, I downloaded the app and then spent the next day and half trying to get my ID via the passport and facial recognition verified. The app does not like the new reflective UK passport pages (mind you that's also caused issues on a couple of GB apps I had to download recently)- the instructions for the facial recognition are useless and it kept timing out. It also has no tolerance for those of us who are a bit older and therefore possibly a little slower and also those of us who are not addicted to taking picture on our phones and using it as our extra limb. I am very likely going to uninstall it and take cash instead (as I now discover that contrary to AI - cash is freely accepted in China)!!!

Terrible- doesn't work.

Terrible- doesn't work. I'd recommend just taking cash instead- aside from a few vending machines it's accepted pretty much everywhere. My wife and I installed this for a trip to China and Japan. This wasn't easy but we thought it was working. The first time we tried to use the app it didn't work. Additionally our guide couldn't get it to work either. As we had planned on half of our spending money to be via the app this left us in a tight spot. We had no choice but to withdraw cash in China at an additional, unplanned expense. We were not the only people on our tour to have problems with the app.

FAKE verification process and FAKE errors waste of time and disrespect

in the list they show many countries you can choose for the verification process but after uploading you see fake error this identity cannot be used for verification process and then when you contact Alipay support they say we accept your country but then "Regarding your inquiry about Alipay, we are currently unable to assist you with the verification process manually. Please link a Mainland China bank card or try to complete the verification after entering China."

Not a reliable source of payment

The app is not at all intuitive. It’s easy to download and add a card when abroad. But using it is a different matter. I managed to pay in one shop - but basically had to give my phone to the retailer (who also didn’t have much of a clue). She managed to scan me. Then I tried to pay a taxi driver and it didn’t work - he couldn’t scan me and when I tried to scan him, it said I had to add a card (already done abroad), but wouldn’t let me add any of visa, mc or Amex. Ended up having to get the police involved to allow me to find an ATM to withdraw cash. Basically it’s not a reliable source of payment at all. But neither is paying by card (for taxis). Uber equivalent app requires a local phone number to register. So carry cash!

A total and utter disgrace

A total and utter disgrace. I've been waiting four months for a refund from AliPay and it has still not arrived, causing huge issues for my business, including being taken to court. To describe dealing with their customer service as merely 'wildly infuriating' would be generous.

Good morning

Good morning, on May 19th, I purchased a phone via WhatsApp, paying the supplier with Alipay (RMB 2600.75, equivalent to USD 350). The seller is No. 2 Building 19, Taihe Dongyuan Community, Pinggu Town, Pinggu District, Beijing, email: . I never received the product, and I contacted the seller several times but he never responded. How can I get the product I ordered or get a refund? Please, help me. Thank you. --

Repeatinly asking same ID and personal information

Finally given up with AliPay. I had a fee to pay to one of the China authorities and was sent an invoice to be paid only option open to use was AliPay as my company does not allow use of WeChat (pay). I set up the account verified. Soon as I scanned QR code to pay sent an email of malicious activity was received, now 7~8 times since been asked to valid details sending passport photo, credit card photo, Bank statement etc. requesting same documents each time and still the payment cannot be made. It makes you a bit nervous sending such information as it is personal. I sent one final time if the account can’t be setup and payment not being settled, I requested they cancel the account. It is ridiculous amount of time spent trying to resolve this just to pay a fee a 120RMB fee. As this is a China Government authority, I will inform them the it was impossible to pay their fee via AliPay and they should consider PayPal.

I would give no stars if possible

I would give no stars if Trustpilot allows. 6 months prior, I had a fraudulent charge from Taobao and I had my Citibank card replaced. Now I am in Beijing and my Alipay payments are all rejected. Back and forth with their absolutely useless AI bot, and nothing is resolved. Finally I called their live agent and met with very polite but uncompromising, unreasonable and unhelpful service. They said they needed Citibank to confirm the fraud purchase months back has been resolved. I called Citibank and they said yes. Ali then wanted Citi to confirm in writing but Citi said there is no such protocol. The new card has a new number and it is a verified account. Citi does not have any service agreement with Ali but only Applepay and Samsungpay. Ali still insisted. I tried another bank’s card linked to Alipay but faced the same restrictions. This is my 5th day in China with very little cash and working with this impossible Alipay who do not seem to realise that they are asking for irrelevant proof when it’s a different card and this new card has already many purchases (online) with Taobao thru Alipay. I’m so distressed I’m not coming back to China ever. You may have rules but look at the circumstances, the proof and the obvious facts.
