My friend and I signed up for Asia Odyssey’s 15 day China Dream small group tour and added a one day private tour of Suzhou and Tongli. The tour included visits to Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Guilin, Zhangjiajie National Park, and Shanghai. Accommodations were in clean, comfortable three and four star hotels. Our travel counselor Donnie Li was extremely helpful in making all the arrangements and answering all our questions. At each destination, we had friendly, informative guides to show us the highlights. All the logistics were well-organized. Overall, I was very pleased with the tour and would definitely go on another tour with this company. I highly recommend Asia Odyssey for any tour of the continent you may be considering.

Western Bhutan Trip with Haa 5Days - highly recommend visiting Bhutan with this company. I was a solo traveller and joined a small group in April. Vicky helped me select the tour that suited my schedule and supported me throughout the booking process ensuring I had all of the information etc needed in advance of my travels. Bhutan is stunning and the people were very welcoming from the guides to the hotel staff. The hike to Tigers Nest is an unforgettable experience. A wonderful experience from start to finish.

We booked our second tour of China with Asia Odyssey. Charles arranged for us to do a private tour of Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macau, bevor joining a group tour in Yunnan. We visited Kunming, Dali, Changrila and Lijiang. Small group, good company, guides and locations. Afterwards we flew to Xishuangbanna for a private tour of the botanical garden and elephant park. We had a great time before flying to Sanya to relax.

We traveled to the Philippines for 3 weeks. A country with complex logistics. The hotels and tours exceeded our expectations. Catherine was very helpful in preparing the itinerary and Alirene was very efficient in providing ground support. They were in contact with us at all times and everything went very well. My boyfriend and I recently traveled to Bhutan for a four day three nights trip. It was a truly memorable experience and we had a good time there. Nicole from the travel agent was very helpful in organizing and very responsive to our requirements. Our guide and driver (both Dorji) were very knowledgeable, friendly, and respectful. It was a good time in Bhutan!
We took a 5 day Lhasa trip with Asia Odyssey Travel. 9 to13 May. The trip was very well organized, tour travel guides were professionals, with a lot of knowledge of tibetaniens culture. Tour is showing best part of Lhasa and beautiful landscapes of Tibet. We realy had very good time and if we come again, we would use the same agency. Tour guides Liu Yang and Chen Qianqian are very knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. Similarly for all the drivers assigned. They tried their best to accommodate our request to drop us at the nearest possible stops to places of interest as my wife has a bit of a walking issue. This had made our trip less stressful, very relaxing and an enjoyable one. Administration wise, could be a little bit better managed by informing us beforehand of the change in tour guide in Suzhou. Nevertheless, June and Zhao had been very professional and prompt in their responses to all my queries. It was really a pleasure dealing with them.

We had 8days Xi’an trip with them. Overall experience was really good and enjoyable. The driver Mr Wong was very caring and skilful with his driving. Maintain the van clean and pleasant by checking the right temperature. Having snacks and fruit in the car in case we hungry. He always drop and pick us to the closer point with great communication with our tour guide Bruce. Bruce was very supportive and knowledgeable with the history of the places we visited. He will try to fulfill our requests. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.
From booking to tours, services and hotels, I would rate overall an excellent service and experience. The reason for the 4 vs. 5 star is for the hotels we stayed at. They were a 3-star rated - great staff service but room was mediocre and old - I believe it was called Hotel Osel in Paro, second hotel, second hotel in Punakha - Zhingkham Resort was the best with nice views, room cleanliness and bathroom was not as run down as the first hotel, and last hotel in Paro - Tashi Namgay Resort was nice and spacious with a beautiful view but plumbing issues made the bathroom smells really bad. Overall though, our agent Thalia was super responsive and answered all of our questions. Out local tour guide Mr. Trashi was knowledgeable and attentive and awesome guide and so was our driver Mr. Ishii in making sure we got to our places safely. We really enjoyed our trip and it was a low travel season so we didn’t have to fight with a lot of folks for beautiful picturesque spots. The locals are nice and super safe place with vibrant cultures and history. I would totally recommend it!
We were already in Shanghai on business but had some free time to explore other regions. Asia Odyssey provided us with a tailored, personalised tour plan to visit the wonders of Beijing and X’ian in a short time window from our Shanghai base. They were flexible with us, communicative and put us at ease that we would get the best experience with the time available. The organisation was great, tour guides in each city friendly, engaging, flexible to our needs and extremely knowledgeable. All travel was efficient and well organised such that we got the best experience in the time allowed. I will be using Asia Odyssey again and would recommend them to anyone wanting to maximise their stay in China.
We had an excellent journey in the Philippines thanks to the good organization and follow up. No worries, no doubts as they were always one step ahead in handling our trip. Transfers, hotel bookings and excursions were done as requested, correctly and punctual. The person that did our follow up was always available and very friendly. We recommend this agency for a holiday.
First, I was extremely pleased by the office staff of Travel Agency. They were upfront and clear about the whole process beginning with travel itinerary, help with the visa process, travel costs and so on. The agents were cordial, and always responded promptly during the pre travel phase of the journey. Once our tour started, I was pleasantly surprised by the enthusiasm of the guides to show everything possible at different sites. The guides as well as the driver were very friendly and helpful. The organization of the itinerary and the logistics were very well planned. All hotels, with the exceptionption of one, were very good. The only shortcoming that I can think of, was the food that was local thoroughout the journey. It lacked variety and there was no other option. However, this is not the fault of the travel agency since all restaurants served only local food. Overall, I can summarize that I had a great experience. The trip was very well planned, organized and successfully completed.
We went to Kunming/Lijiang on a family holiday with 13 people including my 82 year old dad and 74 year old mum down to my 5 year old nephew. So a lot of adjustment and catering needed to be done. We were delayed on arrival due to Air Asia changing their schedule that made us miss our flight. Cause of this Ashley from Odyssey needed to change our pick ups, book new train tickets and rearrange guide for our arrival. All this was done seamlessly and efficiently which was much appreciated when you travelling with elderly. Before our arrival the itinerary and day to day happenings were communicated and we felt assured coming to China. Our time in Lijiang and Kunming were a bit rushed as we ourself requested for a shorter time due to work commitments of those in family. But the guides were accommodating to our various changes as mentioned that we had a myriad of ages in group so different needs and requirements needed to be met. Would say only cause my family is quite big foodies, the places that were recommended by guide especially at Snow Mountain was not up to standard but other places we chose ourselves and was satisfactory. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Odyssey again for anyone’s future travel plans to China.

We had a great time on13 days Silk Road and 12 days Tibet tour back to back.
This is the second time I go to Asia Odyssey Travel, after my Xi’an trip last year. I decided to go back to them again this year for my trip to Chengdu in April. As always, they did not disappoint me. It’s a pleasure working with Nicole, the sales consultant. This is the 2nd time she is serving me. She is very prompt in her reply and provides good advice. The tour guide, Wells was also good. I recommended Asia Odyssey to my colleagues when they were also looking for a day tour in Chengdu and their feedback was very positive. I will be engaging them again for my Chongqing trip in May.
