💯 it was. We are from Australia Sydney and dealt with Norman via whatsapp and he was the absolute best. The price was reasonable and we got to do heaps. We just returned from an incredible two-week private trip through China with INTO Explore China, and I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Our group of four traveled through Shanghai, Zhangjiajie, Furong Ancient Town, Chengdu, Xi'an and Beijing, and from beginning to end we received true VIP, red-carpet treatment.
Our trip coordinator, **Roy, was phenomenal**. I probably asked him 10,000 questions before the trip, and he patiently answered every one! He coordinated our hotels, guides, drivers, transfers, trains, tickets and countless details. Once in China, WeChat groups connected us with Roy, **Selina from trip support**, our guides and drivers, so we always knew exactly what was happening. They were incredibly responsive, flexible and accommodating.
Our guides—**Snow in Shanghai, Bruce in Zhangjiajie, Alina in Chengdu, Tina in Xi'an and Michael in Beijing**—were fantastic. The 5-star hotels were excellent and perfectly located, and the Business Class/VIP high-speed train arrangements made traveling between cities incredibly easy. The value for the level of service we received was exceptional.
As Americans, we were honestly somewhat nervous about visiting China because most of what we knew came from the news. **The China we experienced was completely different from what we expected.** I've visited around 30 countries, and China was one of the cleanest, safest and most welcoming places I've ever experienced. The people were incredibly friendly, and we felt completely safe everywhere we went.

China Private Trip 2026, great experience with Intoexplore - 5 Stars!
We found this company through TikTok, we liaised with them and made a tailor made tour to our requirements after going back and forth to lock down every thing my husband and I wanted. Our tour was Beijing-Chengdu-Chongqing-Zhangjiajie-Furong town-Shanghai. We had a private guide at all destinations and a private SUV. Our guides Sam, Tommy,Stephanie and Stella were great, knowledgeable and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Whilst there my wife celebrated a birthday and our wedding anniversary, She was gifted flowers and a cake and upon arrival in Shanghai a beautiful bouquet awaited in our room from the agency. They kept us updated with times and all our train and flight details. The guides were knowledgeable in all the cities, they accommodated all our needs and were on hand through WeChat for any extra queries we had. Yes we were wary finding them from social media but as soon as we landed and was met by our first driver, our fears were gone. This was the trip we wanted and had planned with them and it exceeded our expectations. Our initial contact through the agency was Roy, who we primarily dealt with and he arranged and tweaked our itinerary as required. We could not fault his customer service, or that of his colleague Yolanda who we also dealt with and who was very good, helpful and kept everything on track. Overall I would highly recommend this company, yes anything is frightening when it's a new experience but the leap of faith was justified and we experienced our own trip of a lifetime. We had been on a previous tour with another company and felt that we were sometimes taken to additional places not in our interest so that is why we decided to make our private schedule and our choice exceeded our expectations. Many thanks to everyone who made this trip so special for us and we would highly recommend them.

My recent trip to China was truly one of the most memorable experiences of my life, and that is largely thanks to Luz and the incredible team at IntoExplore China.

As wonderful as the service was, the greatest surprise of all was China itself. The beauty of the country is simply breathtaking. From the historic grandeur of Beijing and the fascinating history of Xi'an, to the otherworldly landscapes of Zhangjiajie and the spectacular modern skyline of Shanghai, every destination left us in awe. The scenery, culture, food, hospitality, and experiences exceeded every expectation we had.
I can honestly say that China is now my favourite country in the world. Before visiting, I had high expectations, but the reality far surpassed them. The warmth of the people, the richness of the culture, the incredible sights, and the unforgettable experiences have left a lasting impression on us.

A Very Good Travel Experience with INTO Travel China
I had a very enjoyable experience traveling in China with INTO Travel China. From the beginning to the end of the trip, everything was arranged very well, and I did not experience any significant problems during the journey.
The INTO Travel China team was very helpful, responsive, and flexible, especially when I experienced some unexpected circumstances during the trip. I really appreciate their understanding and assistance.
The only challenge was that my time was quite limited, so the itinerary felt a little rushed and tiring. However, this was more due to my own limited travel time, rather than the service provided by INTO Travel China.
But overall, I was very satisfied with the itinerary and the services provided. I would certainly consider using INTO Travel China’s services again if I have the opportunity to return to China someday.

The staff helped me all along the tour. Always answered my questions. Guides and drivers very professional and friendly. The only thing to improve is the situation of the hotels. It would be great a more central location.
We just got back from our family trip to China, and the service was great from start to finish.
Before the trip, the team was super responsive. The contract and payment steps were very clear and easy to understand. The whole itinerary was well-planned, so we could actually relax and enjoy everything without feeling rushed.
The best part was our tour manager, Ike. Even though we changed to different local guides in each city, Ike stayed in constant contact with us. Ike checked in regularly and answered any questions right away. Knowing Ike was always there to make sure transitions went smoothly made a huge difference.
Highly recommend and will contact them again for my next trip to China.
In September 2025, we began planning our trip to China together with the agency. Communication via WhatsApp was smooth at first, and they accommodated our individual wishes. However, small mistakes kept happening, which we initially overlooked. The first serious issue came when we made the final payment: due to fluctuating exchange rates, we were asked to pay an additional 250 dollars because the contract specified an amount in yuan. With the trip just around the corner, we didn’t want to argue and accepted the demand.
Most of our drivers and guides were good, though some spoke hardly any English. Without a translation app, you’re truly lost in China.
Our schedule was extremely tight. As first‑time visitors, we expected the agency to include reasonable breaks or shopping opportunities. Instead, we had to negotiate those directly with the guides on-site.
Everything went more or less fine until we were sent on a Yangtze River cruise, which turned into a major problem. The agency had not informed us that the third person in our group would have to share a cabin with a complete stranger because every bed had to be occupied. We only learned this when checking in. We were then “granted permission” to stay together in one cabin—three people in a small room on a riverboat, with indoor temperatures consistently around 27–30°C and an air conditioner that hardly worked. Nobody on the ship spoke English. Internet was extremely weak, making translation apps unusable. Even on the included excursions, none of the guides spoke English, so we couldn’t participate. We were essentially stuck on the ship for almost four days. Discussions with the agency led nowhere; they showed no understanding at all. And since the ship was fully booked, there were no alternative cabins available.
The next issue involved our domestic flights. Although we had 30 kg of luggage included with Emirates, we had to pay hundreds of euros in excess baggage for the two domestic flights because only 20 kg had been booked. Again, the agency had not informed us.
Flight tickets, train tickets, essential information—none of it was proactively provided. We had to ask the guides or explicitly request everything. We rarely received more than a brief “sorry.”
None of the agency’s drivers spoke English. Without a guide present, you were completely unable to communicate.
Traveling by train in China involves airport-like security checks. If your power bank isn’t China-certified, it is confiscated immediately. Liquids over 150 ml are also not allowed. Were we informed? Not at all. We lost our power bank, hairspray, and styling mousse at the checkpoints.
The final issue came in Hong Kong. Our suitcase was damaged, so we tried to explain to the driver—using hand gestures—that we needed to buy a new one. He took us to a mall that was on the way to our final destination. After about 20 minutes, we were back in the car. Shortly afterward, the agency contacted me, stating that we would be charged a half-day fee for that short stop. That was the breaking point for us. After another pointless discussion, I blocked the agency on WhatsApp. A few days later, they emailed us, demanding we get in touch and settle the issue, otherwise they would cancel the driver who was supposed to take us back to the airport. By then, we had already arranged an alternative, and we finished our trip without the agency.
My conclusion: Stay away from this agency.
Just recently returned 11 days from China. Arranged by Roy at Intoexplore. It could not have been more perfect. Everything - hotels, transportation, tour guides. We saw things we never would have seen on our own. excellent agency with wonderful service.

Independent travel by train in China can be daunting ordeal. We decided to use Intoexplore for booking the trip and are very happy we did. It almost felt like Norman was a family member guiding us through how to use Alipay for payments in China to where to find the ticket office in the train station to convert digital tickets to paper. He was always available (sometimes at 6 am!) to answer any question and solve any problems that arose .. I would strongly recommend him to anyone who is thinking about independent travel to China .
