I have been a customer of Gname for quite some time and have generally had a positive experience, which makes this review disappointing to write.
I purchased one of Gname's reseller plans due to advertised benefits. Just a few months later, one of the plan's key benefits was reduced by 50% for existing customers.
Support explained that this was due to increased costs from an upstream partner. I raised the issue through support and management channels, but the company ultimately decided to keep the change in place and offered no accommodation to customers who had already purchased the plan under the previous structure.
My concern is not that costs changed. My concern is that the value of a paid lifetime plan was materially reduced after purchase.
In my view, if a company sells a paid plan based on a certain set of benefits, existing customers should be able to rely on those benefits for a reasonable period of time. Changing them only a few months after purchase damages trust and raises serious fairness concerns.
Based on my experience, prospective customers should not assume that the benefits of a paid "lifetime plan" will remain unchanged after purchase.
I don't know how to rank Gname because as a business I have had no affiliation with Gname. However, we found a website that was phishing/fraudulent scamming site had copied our Website and was scamming our customer. Running ads to lure people to a realistic looking site and speaking CC's or just cash for orders obviously never being fulfilled. From the Whois we can see the domain registrar was Gname. We reported this to Gname and effectively on the next business day the domain registration was held and effectively shut down the one letter domain name scam site. There quick and fast action is very much appreciated from this legitimate business owner.
Almost all other registries provide a 30 days grace period for expired domains. But only these people are sending the domain to auction just around 12 days of expiry. Demanding 200usd other wise to renew.

You will lose your money and your domain. Gname uses a recharge scam to get you to deposit money (you will never see again). If you win a domain auction - they will LOCK your account so you cannot access it. Customer Service asks for information you can only get when you are logged in - BUT you CAN'T login because Gname locked your account. There is a language barrier as they pretend not to understand English. If you are looking for the Asian Mafia - it is at Gname.

Name are crooks. Once you purchase domains, Gname locks your account and won’t let you login. They ask for screenshots of your account that you can’t get because they blocked your access. Gname is a Mafia style organization.

Thank you for your prompt assistance in resolving the abuse complaint regarding the abusive misuse of the domain, psmpublishers.org.
This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable. The OTP code has not been delivered to my email for over 1 hours, completely blocking access to my account functions.
I contacted customer support via live chat, and the only response I received was to “wait,” with no clear explanation, no estimated resolution time, and no alternative solution. This level of support is simply not acceptable.
What makes this worse is that I tried to change the OTP Operation Protection method to SMS-only, but this action itself requires an email OTP which I am not receiving. This creates a dead-end situation with no workaround.
Gname should have resolved this much faster. If an issue like this is still not fixed after more than an hour, it is already causing real harm to customers.
For a company like Gname, failing to deliver a basic and critical feature like email OTP is a serious issue. This is not a minor inconvenience it directly prevents users from accessing and transferring their funds. At the moment, my unsettled balance is effectively locked because of this failure.

I am a client of over 300 domains there, and they suddenly decided to block a domain i bought a day ago, no website no nothing, they said it was reported for abuse, what a joke i logged in to set the domain up, never used never connected to e mail service, stay away from Gname.
Their customer support is a joke, they are more often offline than online, they wont solve anything, support agents are useless they only tell you to contact email, and they say im sorry but they are off today, completely useless support team
