Terrific experience working with Highlights Travel

We worked with Jimmy for a Japan cherry blossom tour in the spring of 2026. He has been fantastic! Professional, knowledgable, and quick to respond to all of our questions both via email and on phone calls. We highly recommend Highlights Travel and are so excited that all the details of our upcoming trip were handled so well.

I had a great e experience with Albee the “guide” who followed us in the construction of our travel to Thailand. She has been very patient and has suggested us an itinerary custom made. We are very happy and we look forward to leave for Thailand!!!

We have had a great time so far on our first part of our Japanese trip organised by Albee. Our tour guide Jonny has been great showing us around the city of Tokyo and taking us to museums. The drivers have been friendly with comfortable cars. The hotel was excellent with a great buffet breakfast and friendly service.

My tour guide

My tour guide - Monica who put in a lot of time assembling a wonderful itinerary for my wife and I to have a extremely good experience.

Our first trip to Japan…

Bert Hu worked with us for quite some time to develop our first trip to Japan. He was courteous, prompt, and professional in his work. We visited five cities and had private tours in Tokyo and Hakone with Kento and Kyoto, Nara, and Osaka with Victor(Yamazaki). Both Kento and Victor were very friendly but we got along better with Kento. His relationship with nature was very much like our own. Victor was more concerned with money and how much things cost, which was not a concern for us on this trip. Kento brought us to a hidden fish market only locals know about, which my wife loved. He ate lunch with us and shared his life with us. Contrary Victor brought us to a fast food place (that was inexpensive) and refused to let us pay. His focus on money was off putting. Unfortunately my wife injured her back during our trip, but Victor brought us to the hospital and was very helpful with the translation and getting medication. We got to see all of the most common things that most tourists see including temples and gardens. We ended our trip at the 2025 Expo which was an amazing experience. The lottery system to get into the pavilions was terrible and we did not get to see the attractions we wanted to see but that is not the travel agencies fault. All in all it was an amazing trip but next time we will prioritize nature and stay away from the cities as much as possible. Too many experiences to mention in this review.

Great help

Great help, patience with clients. Reasonable price.

Excellent service

Jimmy Qin was super efficient and came back with a great tour proposal just to our liking. He answered emails and what’s app messages promptly and professionally. I felt very comfortable booking my vacation for our first trip to Japan with him .

Yeliz is very helpful.

Perfect for travelling with children!

Our tour with Asia Highlights couldn't have been better. We went to Japan for 8 days, visiting Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka (with a day trip to Nara), and we travelled with 2 young children aged 5 and 2. Japan is an incredibly child friendly country, but even so, if we'd attempted this without the help of Asia Highlights, it would have been incredibly difficult. Our two tour guides, Alan and Fiona, became part of our family on the trip, and our kids loved them so much that I am writing this review 5 months after we went, and they still talk about them! Even our 2 year old! Honestly they were so great and made such an impression on the kids that it was such a help when travelling, walking around and negotiating busy tourist sites. Everything was brilliantly organised, from pick up in super comfy cars to the daily activities, with the flexibility to add in additional stops or stay longer at places we particularly enjoyed. Nara Park, Legoland Osaka and Mount Fuji - we were incredibly lucky to see it clearly and with sakura in bloom - were family highlights, as was seeing Godzilla in Tokyo! Thank you so much, we were so happy that we're currently planning our next family holiday with Asia Highlights!

Booked another Adventure with Asia Highlights

We had booked our previous trip to Vietnam and Thailand with Asia Highlights and had a very good experience dealing with Jason. We have just booked again and look forward to the same excellent service on our upcoming adventure.

Love Kyoto and Sho was the best

Sho was a really excellent guide and we enjoyed the bamboo grove and other sights with him . He even took us to a good sushi spot off the beaten path

Efficient

Efficient, polite, listened to my requirements and finalised my short tour in a short space of time.

An outstanding experience with China trip planning

We had an outstanding experience working with Alisa Liu from ChinaHighlights while planning our recent trip to China and Vietnam. From the very beginning, her professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail truly impressed me. Every aspect of the trip was handled promptly and seamlessly—from traveling by trains and accommodations to excursions and special requests. What I appreciated most was how smoothly everything came together. She took the time to understand our preferences and needs, and turned that into a perfectly tailored itinerary. It made trip planning stress-free and enjoyable, knowing everything is thoughtfully arranged in advance. I’m incredibly grateful for the care and effort that went into planning this trip. It’s clear she is passionate about what she does and genuinely care about her clients’ experiences. I highly recommend ChinaHighlights services to anyone looking for a reliable and dedicated travel agent in South-East Asia. Thank you Alisa!
