Extremely disappointed with this company. I received shoes that did not fit and arrived in a damaged box, yet what should have been a simple return turned into a ridiculous amount of back-and-forth emails. The issue still has not been resolved as they continue to avoid honoring their own stated return policy, change their explanations, and make every step of the process more difficult than it needs to be. It feels less like customer service and more like an attempt to wear me down until I give up. If you value honest policies, competent service, and hassle-free returns, I would strongly recommend shopping elsewhere.
I have not checked the reviews here before ordering and my shoes are just a bit short (however I measured my feet and ordered according the size chart). I'm not even trying to send it back based on the bad experiences of other people with return attempts. :(
First if all the company is based in China, NOT UK. So you know once you receive the tracking info, if they do arrive you've no chance of sending them back for a refund. Second of all, they look like a clown shoe. I put them on and willed them to look ok. They didn't. I took them off, I didn't dare wear them outside, lest I get mocked by my friends and neighbours or whisked away to join the circus.
They looked lovely but the instep wasn’t generous enough to get my foot into the shoe. I asked for a refund but this is proving to be IMPOSSIBLE to obtain. They suggested I sell the shoes to a friend and they would give me a 20% refund off another pair of shoes.
I love the Hobibear shoes,I have the Black, Cream, white w/ Blue, white w/ Red, white w/ Green, White w/ pink, White w/ Blue, Burgundy tie sneaker.. the issue for me is that the toe / mild of shoes is not for a person with wide feet, and the 42 is to short and 43 to big. I got a mess of shoes I can’t wear. Please I want to try the 43 and wash it and see if it fits better. I just can’t until I get more money. These are the Best Shoes ever. This happened after they were washed.

If I could give zero stars, I would. These shoes are so hard and have a horrible fit. Trying to return them took an incredible amount of time on my part. Initially, they did not respond, then they asked if I wanted to keep them for a certain amount off. Of course I didn’t. They were horrible. When I emailed that I wanted to send them back, they replied that, before they can give me an address to mail them back to, they needed pictures of the upper, sole, and shoe packaging for me to get one. I’m sure I’ll have to pay return shipping. Don’t waste your time or money.
It’s funny how their “so called” contact info is in Azuza, CA but the shipment is coming from China!!! Customer service is AWFUL!! Shoes are even worse!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
Very low quality shoes. The website says returns are possible and the customer pays the return shipping cost. Normal, right? No. It is a con. I was told I would have to pay to return them internationally and pay German customs charges. This would cost more than the shoes themselves.
Do not buy unless you’ve tried them before and you know you won’t need to return them. I tried Vivo Barefoot instead - infinitely better experience all round and worth the extra cost.
The shoe I ordered is a slip on and due to the high arch I have I cannot get my foot into the shoe. Hobiebear has been very difficult to work with when trying to return the shoes. My advice is to not order from them!
BE HONEST... if an item is shipping from China, make sure you inform a potential customer. If you do not make it clear, you need to change your cancelation policy. I wanted to cancel the order when I saw it was shipping from China but your policy says you can not cancel after it ships, very dishonest as you don't know it is shipping from China after the 24 hour cancel policy. I will not purchase your items in the future fearing they ship from China!!!
If you buy shoes from this company they will not fit, be poorly made and you will not be able to return them or gain a refund. Absolutely atrocious customer service.

Honestly I have never interacted with a worse company. I bought two pairs of shoes. Despite sizing up 1 and a half sizes, the shoes were still quite small. They were also poorly made and extremely uncomfortable. I have been battling with them to return the shoes for a refund for 6 weeks now. They did everything they could to try and give me a partial refund. When I did eventually get the returns address for their warehouse in Germany, I followed their postage instructions completely (and paid £15 for tracked and signed for delivery) and there was no one at the warehouse to accept the package. They are now refusing to rearrange delivery on their end (I cannot do this as the sender) and still refusing to issue my refund, despite the problem being completely their own. So I am now down the price of two shoes and £15 postage.
Appalling. I'm just about to return shoes they sent that are the wrong size. I ordered correctly but received shoes that are too small. I am expected to incur the cost to return the shoes to Germany despite the error being theirs. They are based in China, not the UK. And the ludicrous offers they made to try and get out of refunding me much at all. I suspect the only reason I will be getting any part refunded is because I've raised a dispute with paypal. Avoid. Absolutely the worst service. I'd give zero if that were possible.
Updating to add I've sent the shoes back, tracked postage and I still have not had a refund issued. PayPal has also pushed back the resolution date!

CHINA... need I say more. Wish I could do zero stars for deception but I have to do 1. If you order from their website... it ships from China. Slow boat!!! Never again... these folks are thieves. It should say on their website they are shipped from China, if it did I would not have purchased.
I wished I read these reviews before purchasing.
Shoes arrived in good time, however the sizing is completely off. Bought a 39 (UK size 6) for my son, as soon as I took them out of the packaging they looked small so I tried them on and they were too small for me (UK size 5), so I would say the sizing is around 2 sizes smaller. They look and feel very cheaply made and the soles are made out of a stiff plastic which feels like it will crack with a bit of movement. Haven't even tried to return yet, but I'm not hopeful looking at these reviews. £45 lesson learnt I suppose.
