Many page plans are available to suit any level of printing, so your page plan can be adjusted as your printing needs change. If you cancel, the Instant Ink cartridges will stop working at the end of your final billing cycle, and you will be billed for your final payment. At that time, you can insert store-bought HP cartridges from your preferred retailer in order to keep printing. The printer itself is unaffected by the subscription cancellation but, if still installed, the Instant Ink subscription cartridges will not function. You choose an Instant Ink plan based on the number of pages you would like to print monthly. Your monthly fee covers the pages in your plan, allows you to roll over unused pages (up to triple your plan pages), ink delivery, and recycling. You are not purchasing ink cartridges through this service. For this reason, the subscription cartridges do not work after cancellation. The printer itself is never disabled, and you can install store-bought cartridges to keep printing.
