Haven’t sent ink out in over a year. My color is gone, and I have a little black ink left. When I asked if they can send me more it was not a problem. They NEVER said they would CHARGE me for it. You’ve earned a 1 star sadly…
It is such a pleasure to know that all our printing and paper supplies are taken care of by HP and that we don't have to give it a thought. It has certainly made our family admin life so much easier.
I have attempted to cancel this service for three months and I have been charged each month. The chat isn't helpful. Customer service number has disconnected with me twice. All I want it to cancel!!!! Scam!!! They say cancel at anytime - sure, whatever!
If your payment doesn't go through, they hold you hostage. You cannot print anything until it's amended. You can cancel but the instant ink your printer is rendered useless, so you have to then buy more hp cartridges. Its a con. I will never again get hp. I am now on the lookout for another printer, definitely not hp.
I had hp instant ink for years and it worked great. However, all of a sudden, my printer wouldn't print. It turns out that, without any warning, my hp 5660 printer was no longer supported by instant ink. So I canceled my subscription. However, once the ongoing period ended, my printer again wouldn't print because it has a new HP instant ink cartridge in it. Attempts to reach customer service were unsuccessful, so I am stuck with a cartridge I paid for but cannot use.
Just don't. The moment you sign up to instant ink or the paper add on you lose control of your printer. I get constant reminder warnings that I am 'nearing my limits for printing this month' after which I will have to pay £1.79 per printed page. I bought the printer, I buy the ink cartridges and I buy the paper, why on earth does this company think it can charge me? I cancelled the 'instant ink' plan HP signed me up for when installed the printer because it didn't suit my needs being 'limited to 50 pages a month' and still I get content emails regarding the print limits, using shop bought genuine HP cartridges as they won't be able to monitor them. If you are planning a new printer, don't go HP
Complete waste of money Signed up to the ink and paper subscription and haven’t received either for 6 months even though I use both regular for work purposes Ran out of ink last night and received and email telling me there was an error with one of the cartridges….yeah, it’s ran out but guessing that’s their out to not send a new one Picked up a shop bought one this morning and the second I installed it received an email saying they can’t track ink levels on a shop bought cartridge, funny they can track one being installed though Save your money and just buy from a shop when needed
The system for getting replacement ink cartridges is so simple that I don’t have to do anything. It is also better value for money than when I bought cartridges, and the cost is easier to budget with monthly payments.
The convenience of not having to buy ink cartridges and having them delivered when required, coupled with good value for money, are the key benefits of this service.
Replacements not arriving after 6weeks will be cancelling plan very soon unreliable service
Generally satisfactory but the date of the next ink shipment keeps receding, making for concern that ink may run out before it comes.

I went to print on my HP printer, but could not because the ink ran out and the company has not shipped me any new ink. When I got on the phone they said it was because my printer wasn't connected to the wifi. I am boggled how that is as my printer is on 24/7 connected with the blue light on that shows it is connected to the wifi. As is my wifi and router on 24/7. They cannot explain to me why their HP printer is not staying connected. So now, I have no ink to print for 10 business days and need to go and pay to print stuff up at the nearest office max. Great way to run a business.And the best is they have just kept me on hold for an hour when I asked to speak with a manager.

It is not about the service it is more about the product. Constantly not being unable to print due to it being "offline", (which it isnt as others are able to print and it updates its status) Also printing out many hours and days after a printing request was made. Glitchs are too many to list. I will be getting a new printer/scanner later this year... i doubt it will be an HP!

My monthly bill went from the agreed £6.95 up to £40 and on one occasion £69. I decided to cancel my contract only to be told that any ink that I had paid for would not be useable. I find this type of business practice unacceptable. I trawled the net just to find the consensus feeling that this practice was unacceptable to the vast majority of instant ink users. Also customer services would benefit on how to speak to customers
