Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers frequently praise the exceptional print quality, noting that multi-color prints turn out amazing with very little waste. Buyers also appreciate the fast delivery service, with orders often arriving in less than a week alongside secure packaging. Setting up the machine is described as simple, making it a great purchase for anyone interested in 3D printing.
Some reviewers were not happy with technical errors, mentioning unexpected jams and persistent mechanical issues during use. A few consumers also felt that the software requires further improvements to handle complex tasks smoothly.
Very quick responding to the order and let me know via email every step of the shipping process. The unit arrived INTACT with no visible damage. I was VERY impressed with the packaging. While the assembly and setup is a bit more involved than other units I have seen, the provided start up guide provided VERY concise steps on how to get the U1 setup and printing. So far, the U1 has lived up to all the hype about GREAT multi-color printing.
Quality of the print has issues, when I first got the printer. I had to spend several hours getting the filament setting right. Snapmaker filament profiles are not very good. After that I am getting good quality prints. The thing that I really like is the speed, it is twice as fast as my Bamboo H2C. However due to the slicer not having some of the filament settings that the Bamboo Slicer has the print is not as high quality as my H2C. I would expect it will be when those settings are added to the Snapmaker slicer.

I’ve been really impressed with Snapmaker. I have two U1 printers and they’ve been great machines. The print quality is excellent, the features are innovative, and their customer service has been incredibly helpful anytime I’ve needed assistance. It’s refreshing to deal with a company that actually stands behind its products. Highly recommend!
I’m just one week in with my U1 printer and I love it.
I’m just one week in with my U1 printer and I’m loving it. The print quality is fantastic, it’s really fast, and the 4 toolheads make multi-material and multi-color printing a breeze.
Still testing, but so far my kobra X prints better
So far all the prints I've made came up with issues. I've tried the same file on my anycubic kobra x with same filaments and on kobra x everything looks way better. Just take little longer to print. I'm still trying different configurations to make sure it's no my mistake.

Great machine. Very innovative. I had to come here and give this review. I love the machine. On a side note - started selling my bambu to come up with an army of snappys
I have been printing for 13 years and rarely use PLA ,since getting my U1 I have been using SnapSpeed a lot and I am amazed at how well it prints(finish is comparable to my resin printer) and the speed it prints at is amazing. The price is very good and everything arrives in a week. I have been trying other filaments as well and the PETG HF is totally great .
Set it up was great easy then i started to print but got error code 0002 0525 0000 0051 so i stop my work and try to unload the filament and re do theinserting of filament and it works great after that. Love theachine easy to use and troubleshoot.
Recieved the u1 in 3 business days. Set up was simple. I've been printing non stop for 3 days. Perfect quality prints. No errors, almost no waste,
The only thing i wish there was a tutorial on how to use orca slicer. Being a new user i feel like I'm just clicking buttons in the dark.
Snapmaker U1 Review: A Beginner’s Perspective (From Almost Buying Bambu Lab to Total Enthusiasm!
I’m not usually the type of person who writes product reviews, but in the case of the Snapmaker U1, I felt it was genuinely deserved. As a complete beginner in the world of 3D printing, I was initially right on the verge of buying a Bambu Lab printer with an AMS in the same price range. In the end, I decided to take a leap of faith and venture into the Snapmaker U1 experience instead!
Watching numerous YouTube videos — both official content from Snapmaker and independent reviews from community creators — gave me the confidence to make the purchase. And honestly? What a decision that was!
First Impressions & Printing Experience
The printer just runs and runs effortlessly. Out of all my prints so far, I’ve had exactly one print failure, and that was 100% due to an issue with the 3D model itself, not the machine. For me, the whole experience has been nothing short of flawless.
How can I evaluate this as a beginner? Quite simply: prior to this, I used an Anycubic Kobra 2 Neo for 30 days. I realize it’s an older budget model, but it gave me a firsthand look at what poorly calibrated first layers look like. In contrast, the Snapmaker U1 is true Plug & Play for me — absolute top-notch!
Software & Workflow (Where there's still room for improvement)
The only area where Snapmaker should really put in some work is the software side (I exclusively use Snapmaker Orca as my slicer):
Linux Bug (CachyOS): In standard mode, the slicer fails to remember my login details, forcing me to re-authenticate via my Google account every time I launch it. Because of this, I switched to LAN mode.
App Access via VPN: In LAN mode, the Android app refuses to connect over a direct VPN connection. It only works if I am on my local home Wi-Fi or connected via VPN while on an external Wi-Fi network.
Workaround: I have since integrated the U1 into Home Assistant. This allows me to easily check the live camera feed and monitor remaining print times while on the go.
Customer Support & Final Verdict
None of those software quirks should sound too negative, because the printer itself is absolute top-tier hardware! On top of that, the customer support is hands-down incredible: responses often arrive within 15 minutes (if not faster), and the team addresses every detail, offering friendly and genuinely helpful advice.
If my wife wouldn't stop me, I’d probably buy two more Snapmaker U1s right now! :-)
Thank you, Snapmaker, for doing such a stellar job. I absolutely love this printer!

**Snapmaker U1: Excellent Hardware, Software Still Needs Some Polish**My experience with Snapmaker and the U1…
My experience with Snapmaker and the U1 has been very positive overall. The U1 feels like a well-designed, solidly built machine, and the print quality has been excellent. The independent toolheads are the main attraction, but I have also been impressed by how easy the printer is to use and how cleanly its supports detach.
The printer came with four 500-gram spools of filament—white, black, red, and yellow—which gave me everything needed to begin experimenting with multicolor printing. One of my first projects was a Pikachu. Snorca added the necessary supports, and those supports came off quickly and easily. The finished model looked very good. I have since printed practical items, including floating shelves, with equally good results.
Being able to select a particular toolhead and print the same model in a different color works well when starting a new print.
Snorca gets the job done, but it does not yet feel as refined or intuitive as more mature slicers. The interaction between the filament information stored on the printer and the filament selected in the slicer can also be confusing. The hardware seems further along than the software, although firmware updates are continuing to add features and address limitations.
Snapmaker’s customer service has been excellent. The company has communicated well, provided useful setup information, and warned owners about things that could damage the machine, including using the wrong screws or greasing the X-axis. As an additional gesture of good customer service, Snapmaker gave me a one-kilogram spool of gray RFID SnapSpeed PLA at no charge. It was not something I purchased or expected, and I appreciated the way the company treated me. I was pleased enough with both the printer and the company to order Snapmaker’s SnapDryer Bundle with the dock and four storage boxes.
The U1 is not perfect, and I expect the software to keep improving. Nevertheless, the important part—the printer itself—is delivering. It produces excellent prints, handles supports extremely well, and makes multicolor and multi-material printing far more practical than changing filament through a single nozzle.
My experience is still relatively new, but so far I am very happy with both the Snapmaker U1 and Snapmaker as a company. I would recommend the U1, particularly to someone who values multiple independent toolheads and is willing to accept a few software rough edges while the system continues to mature.
