I originally purchased AOMEI Backupper in 2020, I tried the program was not impressed so I moved on to a different pc backup software. The software that I moved to kept getting more expensive almost every renewal date. This year, 2026 is it, I'm giving AOMEI Backupper another try. I installed Backupper on my laptop and when I entered the software registration number, it wouldn't activate. No problem, I'll send an email to AOMEI customer support and explain the issue. I provided support with the date and the amount that I paid to the software. I didn't expect a response so quickly. I received an email within a few hours, maybe 6 or 8. The email said, sorry for the inconvenience and that my registration numbers had been reset. I entered the program registration and everything worked. I really like the new user friendly program. Thank you AOMEI customer support, you did a nice thing for a senior citizen. Kindest Regards, Edward

Very good OS and disk backup software, but I found a serious flaw in the AOMEI Backupper WinPE environment. Currently, the interface does not support navigation via the TAB, arrow keys, or Enter. This is a critical issue: if a user's mouse or touchpad is not recognized (which is common in recovery mode), it is impossible to perform a restore because the focus cannot be moved between buttons. Emergency software should always be fully navigable by keyboard. Please fix this UI focus issue in future updates."

Excellent product but outdated licence management
First things first: strictly speaking, the product (AOMEI Backupper) and the support service would deserve 5 stars, but because of their protectionist stance on licence management, I’m deducting 2 stars. It’s the same old drama every time you replace a piece of hardware: you can’t release the licence from the old device yourself and easily transfer to a new hardware – something that’s possible with many other software manufacturers these days – but instead have to contact support to have the license no. released. Although they do respond fairly quickly, this is not a viable solution to the underlying problem. This company really needs to come up with a better approach. It makes no sense whatsoever to market a good product at rock-bottom prices on the one hand, whilst maintaining such a protectionist and customer-unfriendly stance with flimsy arguments on the subject of licence management on the other.
