DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE APP OR PROVIDE ANY CREDIT/DEBIT CARD INFO
Downloaded the free 7 day trial - cancelled within 1 hour as completely useless. Did not utilize the app beyond 30 minutes of download. Confirmation of cancellation on phone. Now received email stating successful payment of £34.99. Have made contact, however, how come these clowns are allowed to continue to take money from people when they were cancelled?
trap.. I want to try it for free, I create a video, upload all the data and information, I waste time and when I click start, it directs me to the payment page.
MISLEADING, unethical and FALSE ADVERTISING.: Did a google search for FREE headshots take you to their website for generating headshots where it clearly states in headline "Free AI Headshot Generator", you start to go through it, then realize you have to pay but get offered an opportunity to "pay anything" for a "FREE Pro account" for 7 days. You submit your details (more valuable time wasted), upload your pics- and receive NO headshot. After reviewing why, I come across this in the help section "and access the AI headshot generator for free. The process is as follows: 1. Purchase of Team Headshot Package: ...":access the AI headshot generator for free: is very different than "Free AI Headshot Generator". I do not like being mislaid and wasting time with a bate and switch tactic. If I knew upfront, then I might have invested but this left a yucky taste with me.
Horrid horrid horrid!!!!!
Tried 7 day free trial, it was absolutely rubbish so cancelled free trial and have been charged regardless for an annual subscription. Emailed them a year ago, they ignored me. Charged me again. I'm disputing it with bank and will take to fair trading. STAY CLEAR.
I canceled my subscription because I had no intention of using this AI. But they say that I did not cancel my subscription. That is, they simply stolen my funds from my card.
This app/website is garbage. I subscribed to this service to use the professional headshot feature, and it completely failed. It generated images that look nothing like me. On top of that, they refuse to refund the subscription fee, which was charged in a questionable manner. Beware and stay away.
They promised a free month and charged me for the whole year within minutes — a total SCAM
I feel the responsibility to warn others about Fotor App. They advertise a “1- MONTH FREE TRIAL,” but what actually happens is that they charge you the FULL ANNUAL amount (in my case, €49.99) almost immediately, without any clear confirmation or prior notice.
I accepted what I believed was a free trial from my iPad, thinking I had 30 days to decide whether the service was worth it. However, just a few hours later, I was shocked to discover that the full annual fee had already been withdrawn from my account. I cancelled the subscription immediately, submitted a refund request to Apple, and began a stressful and time-consuming dispute process.
What’s most outrageous is that, upon further research, I found that this is a pattern. Dozens of users report the exact same situation: they click on the free trial and are instantly charged the full yearly amount, with no prior warning or opportunity to opt out. This is not an isolated case — this is a deliberate tactic.
Fotor didn’t provide any real help, and my bank said they couldn’t reverse the payment since it had been confirmed by the merchant. Thankfully, Apple eventually refunded me, but only because I acted quickly, collected evidence, and kept fighting.
These practices are not just dishonest — they prey on people who trust the term “free trial,” and who, like me, may have had no other money in their account.
If you’re reading this and thinking of downloading Fotor: don’t. And if it already happened to you, don’t blame yourself. You weren’t naïve — you were tricked by a system designed to deceive.
Hello
Your search engine needs to be much more robust it's not 2003 anymore. For instance if I want to do horizontal text versus vertical text think about how a user would search for that with your present layout. You're shortcomings became obvious immediately.
Looks Like somebody paid some engineers to put some stuff together, then developed an advertising campaign, then then employed a subscription model and set back and collected the money. They appear to have no interest in supporting the product. And they use clever techniques to prevent from putting in suggestions or complaints online for instance they ask for a transaction ID which is never even provided to you at any point. They also have a process that to submit a complaint you have to be signed in yet when you go to the form to submit a complaint you're signed out of the program and there effectively is no way to get signed in to send a complaint.
I tried the laptop fotor at fotor.com and was really disappointed with it. I thought I was still using the free one but somehow ended up being charged $39.99 I canceled my subscription thinking I would get a refund, but they say they don't give refunds. Even If you cancel the same day. I would not recommend this if you're going to use it to remove water marks on video because your only allowed to use so many credits per month and if you need more credits you have to buy more.
I turned off Auto Renew and was charged after my one year membership expired. I sent a message, and FOTOR refused to give me a refund. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card.
**Update from initial review: the company did grant my full refund request after I asked a second time.**
Initial review:
As many others have said, I was suckered into purchasing the AI profile headshot set for $14.99. The AI generated photos, which you can’t see until after you’ve paid the fee, are of terrible quality. They looked cartoonish and didn’t resemble me at all-they completely changed my facial features and body. I was hoping the AI would just optimize the lighting, color, and background of my uploaded image but it completely fabricated new and fake versions of my image instead. I asked for a full refund and Fotor refused, saying the-get this-“massive computing” power needed to generate the 20 some odd phony images (which were completed in a few seconds) would make it cost prohibitive to do so (even though they were willing to give another me another crack at the completely useless AI tool for free-how ironic). Steer clear!
I've been a subscriber for some time and have found the software very good but I keep being asked to upgrade which I did sometime ago and I keep getting blocked even though I subscribe. On top of that in order to use some features I have to minimise my screen because the controls don't always work. The software is great but I wish the controls worked all the time and I didn't get blocked from using what I'm paying for. Put those right and you'll have a very happy member because the effects are great.
The genrated photos look nothing like the uploaded one. For its price, Fotor is a pure scam. Clearly no effort made on fine-tuning their AI. Stay away.
You pay a sub for 1 year. Then, about a month after I paid it, I wanted to make a collage, but I was told I needed to upgrade to another price category because I had used all my upload space. I feel like I have been ripped off, since I understood that what I was paying for with the subscription I had bought included making a basic collage & all the other BASIC services. The photo editing facility is A+ but this is a very greedy organization that tries to rip off people who've paid an annual sub that they think has covered the basic product/services.
I have to revise my initial review below as just a terrible result. When I got in contact with their contact centre they offered a refund in a few days!
terrible. just save your money and find another solution. do not spend time and money with this site
I can see the 1-star review talking about how they were scammed thankfully I didn't purchase their paid plans I had used their ai generation year ago and I got pretty good results that I still use it till this day but now I'm getting the worst ai generation images EVER I'm not too fond of it one bit, I think they did some changes to the ai generation and its worse now
