Extremely disappointing experience
This company appears to be accepting payments for products it is not adequately prepared to deliver.
What concerns me most is the explanation given for the production delays: the company admitted that it does not have enough seamstresses to handle its orders. Its clothing is manufactured in China, yet it appears to lack the production capacity needed to fulfill customer orders within the promised timeframes.
Why continue taking customers’ money if there are not enough workers to make the products? Are items being advertised and sold before production has properly started? Are customers effectively paying in advance for products that have not yet been made?
The company seems to invest in promotional photos and marketing while struggling to fulfill orders from paying customers. Attractive product images mean very little if the company cannot deliver the actual items.
Customer service was extremely disappointing. I received repeated changes to the promised shipping timeframe, with each new deadline pushed further into the future. Eventually, I had to cancel my order and request a full refund.
It is unacceptable to take customers’ money immediately while leaving them waiting for weeks or months without shipping their purchases. If a company lacks sufficient staff or production capacity, it should be transparent about this and stop making promises it cannot keep.
A business should have a realistic production plan and sufficient capacity to fulfill orders before accepting payment. Customers should not be left wondering whether the products they purchased even exist in finished form.
The lack of transparency, repeated delays, and poor handling of customer orders have completely undermined my trust in this company. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before ordering.
I hope they give me my money back. I was a regular customer.
Very hit or miss. Unfortunately I do not recommend taking the risk purchasing from here because the sizing is dramatically inconsistent. Which would be fine if they had a return label. A lot of smarter companies provide the label but make you pay €15 for the label which is fine. But this place wants you to return it to CHINA at your expense even when it’s their fault for not providing even close to accurate sizing. I ordered an XS sweater coat and it was so massively large it can’t even be worn around the house as pajamas. Don’t take the risk.
Quality was Awful! Took a long time to arrive with no information or tracking or contact and then when I received the item it was very poorly packaged. It does not feel, smell or look like wool despite being advertised as a wool cape and the colours are seriously off with a cream majority but a bright white cheap sateen used for ribbon and lining that contrasts terribly. Furthermore, the floor length cape barely reaches my mid calves and I am only 5'6". Thoroughly disappointed after £200 and seriously hopeful but not expectant of a refund.
After reading all the negative reviews about the quality and especially the shipping times, I was honestly very hesitant to order and almost decided against it. However, I had seen so many beautiful pictures and videos of their products on social media that I decided to give it a try anyway. I was already prepared for a very long delivery time.
To my surprise, my wool dress arrived within just 11 days! I was honestly very impressed by how quickly it was delivered.
And the quality of the dress is absolutely wonderful. It is heavy, warm, and genuinely made of 100% wool. It keeps you really warm and feels very high-quality. The color is also exactly the same as shown in the pictures, and overall the dress looks absolutely beautiful and very premium.
The only downside I noticed is the sizing. I normally wear between L and XL, so I ordered an L. However, the L is much too large around the bust for me. Looking back, an M would definitely have been enough. So if you normally wear an L or XL but don't have a particularly large bust, I would definitely recommend going one size down with this wool dress.
I will simply alter the dress myself, which isn't a problem for me. But if you're not able to do that yourself, I would definitely recommend choosing the smaller size.
I can't really comment on the return process, since I'm keeping the dress and will simply adjust the sizing myself.
Overall, I have to say that none of the negative comments I read beforehand have been true in my experience. My order arrived surprisingly quickly, the quality is genuinely great, the color is exactly as shown in the pictures, and the dress looks absolutely fantastic. I'm very happy with my purchase!
I ordered one dress via etsy years ago- loved it, no problems. I ordered two via their website as they don't have an etsy shop anymore. One of them was lost and accidentally sent back. Upon contacting Linennaive, they told me it would not go back to them but be destroyed. Horrible for the environment- why?! And of course, I got no money back. I would never order from them again unless they open their etsy shop back up because then at least I have etsy's protection. BE WARNED. I lost ~150€ which I saved up from my two jobs as a student. Never again.
Amazing seller i've bought from before when they were still on Etsy. I was very sad to see they were no longer on there, til i found they have their own site now!
They sell such great items, each a work of art.
The wool of the capes and jackets i've bought have always been of amazing quality, thick and durable. The cape i've bought 5ish years ago is still as gorgeous as the day it arrived.
With silky smooth satin lining, they are super comfortable to wear and when your cape catches the breeze it glides around you. They're also comfortably warm without becoming stifling.
I've never been comfortable all dressed up but the occasion truly called for it this time, and i felt entirely in my element with the Monette. Its just such an amazing dress, its impossible to worry about how you look to others - i was too busy admiring myself in it xD
Though the linen was thin (as described in the dedicated side panel of the website page! no surprises there), it certainly wasnt seethrough and the fabric held on even when i got a bit too enthusiastic on the dancefloor. The seams are solid, trust me.
Lastly, im truly grateful for the smooth and thorough communication. I missed the delivery and nearly even the pick-up date at the post office, yet they've been nothing but patient and kind with me during the whole ordeal.
Even back in the Etsy days, they were always willing to explain their sizing and discuss adjustments in a clear and openminded fashion.
I dont know what happened with the other reviewers, but i've certainly never experienced any unpleasantness and cant imagine it happening honestly.
To Linennaive: thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful clothing, you've made a great difference to me and im sure many others as well.

Awful dresses. I initially reach out to customer service to ask about the dress in the picture and they told me which one it was. Unfortunately, they had combined two different products so I ordered two to get the same effect. Unfortunately they didn’t tell me that in the picture the Model was wearing the dress backwards. I just got it today and it was so weird to try to put it on backwards but also since I have a larger bust, it completely didn’t work for me.
Of course, the worst part wasn’t even that. It was that everything was really rough material and practically all see-through. The top part was lined, but the bottom was not. You could completely see through the skirt.
Beyond that the quality was awful all the seams are just off, and the top of the dress is gaping on one side.
Considering I spent $300 on these two dresses, I would’ve expected a better quality. This is insane.
I wanted to return an item and Linennaive wanted me to pay to send it to China at a cost of £25. Also they wanted me to lie to customs about the value of the parcel. They played what seemed to be a game of lots of delays in communication. So, I almost missed the return window. In the end Paypal paid me back. If you want to buy from this company use them or a credit card and beware of talk of tracking returns. As soon as parcels leave the UK they are no longer on the tracking system. I would stick with established companies with a UK base. Such tactics are become more common.
The customer service is a joke- not good at all. Orders take ages to arrive and if you do not want to keep the item- well I am still waiting for returns form and will have to post to China! Not cheap and not special and really bad service.

Beautiful, versatile, flattering, high-quality, and comfortable!
I was worried based on all of the reviews here, but I had an excellent experience! This is one of the most beautiful, flattering, and comfortable dresses I've ever owned, and the linen and stitching seems to be of great quality. I can't speak on durability as I have only worn it once, for my graduation, but I expect I will find many opportunities to wear it. It is a versatile dress that can be styled in so many ways. If I had one comment, I do wish there was an option to gather the back of the skirt as well.
Although there was a delay in shipping due to lack of seamstresses, the company was very open about that. While there was some uncertainty about the dress arriving in time for the event I ordered it for, the shipping itself was fast and it arrived in time!
I would definitely order again!

Sure it was a long wait and the original order got lost in the mail. However, the team at linnenaive was kind and very professional in helping to find a solution. I don't understand why there's so many hateful reviews. I've bought 2 dresses and 1 skirt and they've all been fantastic quality and the shipping was decent too. I get so many compliments on them. Also had contact with customer service and got a reply very quickly on how to wash my garments.

I have two dresses, a blouse, and a coat from them. I keep reading poor reviews, but honestly- the quality is GOOD. Proper fabrics, well sewn, and the images gives a very good idea of what you are getting. I have been pleasantly surprised at how well made the clothes are every time I have ordered. My coat had a slight production error in it, and they gave me a refund sufficient to get it fixed professionally. I really do not understand the hate they get. I get stopped several times, every time I step out in any of these garments. Every single time! Only thing is that with some items, that are made to order, takes long to receive. However, they have kept me in the loop on it and been upfront about it the one time it happened.
Sketcky returns to home adress, and they do everything in their might to slow and deter you from requesting a refund. Please please please save yourself the headache and order anywhere else. Also the quality of their linen is very thin and not worth their prices.
