I think the new feature that reduces the load on YouTube by adjusting the subscription renewal frequency is a great way to improve account sustainability. 👍️ In addition, I’d like to share recent issues and two requests. 01.Issue A notification appears stating that the download of a restricted video is unavailable, and I can no longer download it. My license is registered, and I am logged in. This is an account that is authorized to view restricted videos. Additionally, some settings may not be applied correctly. -> Notifications cannot be sent to the Notification Center. 02.Request There are channels that upload many videos with the same title, making it difficult to organize them. It also happens quite often that 4KDL fails to rename the files and ends up overwriting them. If it’s not too much trouble, I’d like you to add an option to assign a video ID. videoname.mkv -> videoname-id.mkv That way, I could use the YouTube API to retrieve the channel ID and details, and it would be easy to create a script to move the videos to the correct channel folder. If adding an ID to the filename is too much trouble, I think I could manage if you could just include the ID in the video properties. 03.Request_2 I’d like a subscription import feature. 4KDL has a subscription export feature, but no import feature. It might also be nice to be able to automate the backup and restoration of subscribed channels and playlists. 04.Note I noticed that the log files on my C drive had grown to an enormous size, so I panicked and uninstalled it using GeekUninstaller, then deleted 40 GB of logs. If you have a Pro license, you can export and import both subscriptions and downloaded items in .json format: - To export your subscriptions, use the "Export Subscriptions" option. - To export your downloaded links, use "Export Downloads". - To import, use the "Import Downloads" option — it works for both subscriptions and downloaded items. Restricted video unavailable (Issue) Even when you’re logged in and authorized, YouTube may apply additional restrictions (account/IP checks, age/region checks, CAPTCHA, etc.). Please send us the exact error (or a screenshot), a couple of example links, plus your app version and OS so we can check it properly. Add video ID to filenames (Request) Great suggestion for avoiding overwrites with same-titled uploads. We’ll pass the idea of an option like videoname-id.ext (or adding the ID in video properties) to our team. Logs & lost subscriptions (Note) Sorry this happened. Deleting can remove the local database, which is why subscriptions/playlists disappeared. Regular Export Subscriptions/Downloads backups are the safest way to restore everything quickly.
