Still 100% Win 7 compatible in 2026! But their Site and Support access show some decay.

It's currently August 2026 and I am still successfully using windows 7 on my Intel i7 PC, there are several downloader apps out there who would still work fine, but chose not to work with windows7 in this day and age, simply because W7 doesn't use the Python computing language, doesnt have Microsoft's embedded spyware (aka "telemetry") nor have micreosoft's TPM app to control what parts I can buy for the machine. I Must congratulate the people at Freemake for guiding me to an internal site where I can download an older version that still works perfectly with (modern day) Youtube! I also found my old Lifetime license from December 2020, and it still works perfectly too! GOOD JOB FREEMAKE! But Freemake as a company is showing their age, They have been bought out a couple times, and I later discovered how lucky I was in locating a means to contact Freemake support so quickly. Looking around the Freemake website, and the Support links for the freemake software suite, I'm finding Site cohesion breakdowns: (broken links and pages that go nowhere). This is unfortunate, I hope Freemake could fix the broken links in the software, and in their site, and reconstruct their website to show their latest advancements, and make the means of contacting Support for future issues easier to find, because I still believe in this software! I seriously hope Freemake never becomes Abandonware! FREEMAKE still works 100% on w7 in late 2026! - WOW!

Freemake does work well when it works. I had several issues with the license verification process and had to contact support on several occasions. Recently, I received a message about the cancellation of the lifetime access to Freemake, but after contacting support, the problem seems to have been resolved

My pc crashed with the hard drive…

My pc crashed with the hard drive faulty , PC world was able to transfer programs to a New Pc but not any Keys , having paid for a life time key back in 2019 and the Email address used then is closed and the payment card used at that time is also closed I could not give these details to Freemake , with the little details I could give they traced my account and re sent the key to my new email address , They have gone beyond just respond but have been extremely helpful

Signed up for the week trial

Signed up for the week trial, and it did a quick and easy job. But, like a human, I forgot to unsubscribe at the end of the trial. Bells rang at my bank when they put through the subscription to dishonour the transaction. A quick email to Freemake saw the transaction refunded. I believe that this app and company are doing the right thing...

After lots of help & instructions from the wonderful team (along with a great deal of patience on their part with my innumerable questions), I was able to get my problem solved. I'm now back online and continue to love the products! These folks are great, which is one of the reasons I recommend Freemake to everyone I know.

DON'T BUY !!! used to be good- now more of a scam

It could have been a decent software but when you're forced to buy a newer version just after purchasing a "life time license" (not cheap I might add) because of a "youtube algorithm change" then you know it's a scam . Of coarse there's no costumer service .
