I called and spoke to a representative…

I called and spoke to a representative before selecting this company. I told them it would be a difficult service because I only know where this person is on a specific day and time. The representative told me No problem; just put that in the service details. I got an email this morning saying the attempt was made last night and it's a bad address because it's a police station where we exchange our child. I called and spoke with a female representative who did not seem to care about what I was told. She now says they cannot serve on a specific day and time, and if I want to provide an alternate address, I can, but they would charge me again. They want a new address, are charging me again, and are not honoring what I was told at the beginning. So now the service won't happen; I have to pay all over again to have the party served. Don't do business with them!

Scam

They claimed they tried to deliver it five times but allegedly couldn’t get into the building. After all delivery attempts were exhausted, I had to pay for a second delivery. I then arranged for the delivery to be made at 8:00 AM on Monday, and the receiver was waiting outside exactly as agreed. However, the driver never showed up. This feels like a scam. I’m honestly at a loss for words

We've now had two bad experiences with ABC Legal that, together, cost us real money and put two different cases at risk. The first (Ref. NS-29919): rush service went fine initially, but when our attorney said the process server needed to appear in person at a hearing to testify to delivery, ABC Legal couldn't confirm his attendance despite a month of daily follow-up. The server no-showed the first hearing (7/10), forcing a continuance. We spent the next three weeks asking for a simple yes/no on whether he'd show up to the rescheduled hearing on 7/31 and got nothing but templated "we're looking into it" replies, no supervisor access, and a refusal to give us the server's contact info so we could confirm it ourselves. Then they said he would show up. Surprise: he didn't show up the second time either. The second (Ref. PS-64942): ABC Legal completed substitute service on one defendant on 4/23/26, which under Washington court rules requires a follow-up mailing of the documents. We asked for proof of that mailing starting June 1st because the case risked dismissal without it. It took ABC Legal until June 22nd (three full weeks )to actually confirm they had not done so and to send the mailing, by which point the notice had already expired and was useless for our filing. Support cycled through what felt like a dozen different reps, all repeating the same "we're escalating this" language with no timeline and no resolution. When we rejected their offer of a free reservice (irrelevant at that point — the damage was already done), they had no other answer for us. Our damages on that matter alone are over $6,000. This company is horrible and it's customer service is worse. No urgency, no accountability, no one with actual authority willing to get on the phone. If your case depends on ABC Legal actually doing what they say they'll do on a deadline, budget for them to fail and plan accordingly.

I requested service on a company, the server didn't get the name of the person they handed the documents to. The service is useless...

Extremely disappointed with ABC Legal

Extremely disappointed with ABC Legal. Their online support tickets and dashboard updates are useless. I hired a local PI who provided crucial information and suggested passing it to ABC Legal (whom I had used before hiring the PI for a skip trace) to keep costs lower than paying a PI for full field work—yet ABC Legal completely ignored it. My tickets, instructions, and follow-ups went unacknowledged. The only thing they corrected online was misspelling of names they could not "copy" correctly from official documents submitted. After multiple instructions unanswered, I called in directly to get any real movement because one of their documents even misspelled the defendant's name! Not acceptable when these documents need to be submitted to te courts. The service is minimal at best and utterly unprofessional. If your case requires basic diligence, stakeouts, attention to detail, or even just serving court paperwork, do yourself a favor and hire a local process server or local PI instead.
