Complete waste of time and…

Complete waste of time and unprofessional. We are in a time crunch to get packed and moved. I reached out to A Better Tripp for a quote on packing and moving and a sales rep named Michael came to my home, walked it with me, and gave me a quote in person. He broke the quote out in labor and then materials totaling $1,400 and said nothing about hours. Being that he was in person and saw everything first hand that would need to be done, I didn’t ask about hours as he seemed to have calculated it in his head. The crew showed up this morning and had a form for me to sign with $2,800 written on it for the packing. Sadly, I didn’t read the paperwork he shot over for me to print and sign because Mike specifically said it would be $1,400 max for the job to be completed so I simply responded “approved” to the email assuming it had listed on the paperwork what he quoted me in person. Thankfully, I didn’t print and sign, but instead had them bring it over day of which is when I noticed the joke of a “to not exceed” price tag of $2,800. Michael called to tell me that the materials were not included in that $1,400 quote and to complete the job would be more and then proceeded to call me a liar and stated “he didn’t know where I came up with that number.” I obviously filled them in that they were out of their minds and could get out of my house. Never. Again. Michael was so rude and a typical crook sales person. I had the house packed for $700 by Power Movers the very next day. They were awesome.

I see that Terry Tripp erased my previous review that I wrote last June 22. They have totally dropped the ball and take a no responsibility for the $6000 worth of losses and damages that I incurred after doing business with them. I was told by my salesman ( Mike Livensay) that the owners, the Trips are abusive and bullies to both their clients and their employees. I can speak for myself that was true for me. Their rude driver cussed me and my husband out at two different times ( i have a video of him ( Tracy) and walked off the job early because he couldn’t figure out how to get an armoire in the bedroom.“I had to get two other people to move the armoire into the bedroom after they left“. On the second move To Colorado, they arrived with ONE man , AND I had to hire somebody to help him do my move. Then at 3 o’clock mountain time the ONE man decided he was going to leave because he couldn’t figure out how to get my sofa into my condo. So he again walked off the job as they do. I had to hire (at 4 o’clock on Friday afternoon ) a company to come from 60 miles away with a crane so they could lift the sofa up and put it through the patio door to get it into the condo. They could’ve done it and they should’ve done it but they were irresponsible. Let’s see if Terry trip takes this review off. I have contacted the media in Houston and we’re going to do a big story on their company.

I'm so happy I hired A Better Tripp for my recent move. They took the sting out of a move that had promised to be super challenging for me. I have moved interstate with ABT multiple times and the reason I keep going back is them is TRUST. Their pricing is competitive, their binding estimate is binding, they pick up when they say they will but, you have to work with them on the delivery end. Jose is the best ever and has been the driver on all my trips. He is very careful with the load, sincere and pleasant above all. Also a shout out to Jose, Melvin, Mike and William on my recent move to Orlando!

Could have been so much better

A Better Tripp came highly recommended to me by my aunt, so I felt confident that they would be excellent and reliable. I did not have a good experience at all, though. The salesman I was paired with hardly ever returned my emails or calls (so I had to basically hound him to get anywhere), the website has a coupon page with no actual coupon(s) anywhere on it (and the salesman would not look into that for me), the movers scraped paint off and dented my walls, and they repeatedly asked me which rooms the boxes went in. ALL of my boxes were neatly and clearly labeled, so all they had to do was read them. I even labeled each room with a sticky note so they would know what each room was called in order to match the boxes. So they made the unloading process take longer than it should have, costing me more money. I'm not happy at all, and now I'm being pestered to write reviews, so here you go.

Family Move

We hired TRIPP Movers for a local service to move furniture from one family home to another family home. The entire process was painless and they were all courteous and professional with everything from wrapping and preparing to include transportation, delivery, unloading and unwrapping and placing of the furniture. A job well done! I highly recommend them and will use them again in the future.

Terrific Movers

This company was excellent. Andre, the truck driver from SC to TX, was polite, communicated frequently and arrived early. He was very good in helping my 94 year old mother set up and place her furniture. Everything arrived in good condition and nothing was missing. I highly recommend this company and would certainly hire them again for future moves!
