My biggest pre-trip fear was that you were just going to dump the early arrivals on the streets until the ship was available - in my case possibly 7 hours. While I learned, months in advance, that there would be a hotel where we could use the lobby facilities, I had already spent hours, looking for hotels, etc. The room, snacks and beverages and helpful guides were great. An earlier and more full description would be helpful. My only other suggestion would be better WiFi connections. My phone worked fine but I had hoped to catch up on delayed projects (taxes) - and had bought software for the trip - but was unable to find enough bandwidth. Other passengers also complained about being unable to make a connection - even in major centers. Presumably this was because everyone was trying to make up for lost time in the hinterlands, at the same time. The local guides were all good, informative and varied personalities. The one for MuMa, in Le Havre, kindly got the bus driver on the return to detour a couple of blocks to see the important post WWII architecture But it was the three AHI guides who were all spectacular. Loved them all! They worked amazingly hard to make sure we had the the best possible trip ... Which I certainly did! Finally, what got me on the trip, in the first place - and is really important to me - was having no single supplement.

The pace of the trtip was perfect. We did excursions in the mornings and would have free time during the afternoon and evening for what interest each person. Guides were excellent! Would recommend AHI to anyone. I particularly like the trips without a solo/single supplements. Would like to travel with AHI again.

Everything was wonderful- the itinerary, ship, food, sites. AHI does a wonderfully organized job- plenty of sites but also free time. It was more physically challenging than we expected based on the information we were given. Particularly at the national park. Our brochure described a “ wander through the park” but it was a lot of uphill hiking.

Our tour guide, Ivana, was top-notch; well informed, kind, fun , efficient. I would go almost anywhere with her. Other than my traveling companion breaking her patella ( happened on the way to Zagreb, so not AHI-connected), the trip went very smoothly. And Ivana was very helpful with the travel insurance and procedures to get my friend back home safely.

We rarely did any excursions in the morning. We just sailed. It would have been nicer to sail at night and have more activities.

Daytime sailing is planned in the itinerary to allow travelers the time to admire the Croatia’s coastal scenery and also to allow for stops to swim in the sea. By docking overnight, passengers also have the option of going into town in the evenings to immerse themselves more fully into the local lifestyle by taking a stroll in the town square or perhaps even enjoying drinks and maybe a meal at their leisure.
