So nice to check in to one lovely hotel for entire week. Tour director was fabulous. Thoughtful, knowledgeable and gifted us w a video he made of our travels. Best bus driver ever. Easy to book both tour and air travel. This was my 2nd tour w AHI, will book again.

This was a wonderful trip. The guide was excellent. She was so knowledgable and so interesting. The included meals were excellent. My favorite was La Mado. I do think the walking tours were a bit more strenous and fast-paced than expected. I would have liked a bit more free time to relax and to go into some shops. I'm wondering if we cold have taken a tram to the Basilica in Marseille instead of all the ssteps. Some people were left out because of the steps. Also, I would have preferred seeing the museum of the cave drawings instead of Le Panier. I think we could have skipped Saint-Remy, too. The day at the truffle farm was a highlight. It was so relaxing and informative. Learning petanque was fun, too. Cassis and the calanques, wine tasting, the Pont du Gard were all excellent.

Upon arrival in Luxembourg, it would have been nice to learn we'd be doing a walking tour before getting to the ship. It was a chilly drizzly day, and I would have grabbed a jacket from my luggage had I understood 'the plan' - I definitely was uncomfortable. I was disappointed in not having more time at our stops - a couple of them had an earlier departure than originally planned in order to be able to arrive at the next stop on time. Food on the ship overall was good, not great, but the 'presentation' was always beautiful and there were a few meals I would have loved to enjoy a second time. Local guides were terrific in the knowledge and insights they shared and their personality and humor made it really entertaining! I am not really sure there was a need for 4 cruise directors, however; 1 or maybe 2 would have been fine. They were all very nice, don't get me wrong! I wonder if they had roles other than what we saw? Liked Kelly's added yoga sessions and Greg's session re his US Army experiences.

Very nice accommodations, very friendly and helpful crew, excellent food, plenty of wine and beer at meals at no extra cost. Great on board guides, Judy, Beata, Daniel and Ashraf were all terrific. Friendly cruisers and alumni travellers which makes a big difference in the experience. On the downside we expected a lot more education about the areas we were in. Our city guided tours were very good but we had a lot of leisure time on the boat and no talks. No education on the various regions of wine although our cruise took us through three different wine regions. No talks about the centuries of beer brewing in Germany nor discussions of roman conquest except by our city guides. My husband and I just think it was a huge missed opportunity to help people understand european culture and history. In fact my husband, who had served twice in germany in the army volunteered to give a talk on The American Soldier in Germany during the Cold War, which almost all the cruisers showed up for and was very well received and another cruiser who is a fitness professional gave two sessions on fitness. Most people who travel are eager to learn about where they are visiting and this cruise would have been an excellent opportunity.

AHI excels in logistics and organization and always has really good guides who are able to reorganize and troubleshoot quickly if any obstacles in planned trips, activities occur. For travelers, Read your brochure carefully, There is a tendency to rate activities as moderate that are really more strenuous.

Every want and need was met over and above our expectations. The venue was fantastic; the staff was pleasant and helpful; Colin Elliott added so much to our knowledge; Mimmo Cuomo was the perfect planner and enhanced our trip; the drivers, especially Mario (??) was skilled; and Ernie and I had a marvelous time. This was our first AHI/Nebraska trip; it won't be our last!

The German Rivers tour was everything we had hoped for and more. We loved the small ship atmosphere and feel that we got to know the 102 other passengers well over the 11 days. We enjoyed the city and castle tours and found the local guides to be knowledgeable and good presenters. The food and beverages on the ship were plentiful and of high quality. The ship's crew was pleasant and personable. The four AHI tour directors were wonderful in every respect and represented AHI in a very positive way. The retired Army general's talk was exceptional and very interesting. That notwithstanding, my only disappointment was that there weren't other "academic" presentations which I had expected perhaps because we were all associated with American universities.

We traveled with AHI to Croatia. Our leader was Ivana. She was outstanding. The itinerary was excellent with stops in small venues not available to larger groups. We would travel with AHI again.

Tour very good overall. It could be better with less travel by bus and more by boat. Excusion staff very accommodating but need to pay attention to bathroom break timing and requests. Tour guides were excellent.

We had an exceptional experience in the Amalfi Coast with AHI. The Raito Hotel in the charming Vietri Sul Mare town showed us impressive views, unparalleled breakfast spreads and great cocktail parties for our group. I particularly enjoyed the academic lectures preceding the sites to visit and the expert scheduling from our Travel Coordinator Mimmo Cuomo. Mimmo made sure we were always the first arriving to the sites to avoid crowds. Mimmo preview every possible detail ahead of time. Thank you Mimmo!

Just wonderful. The staff at your main office was so helpful and never made me feel like I was asking a question that I should already know the answer to. Our travel guides were awesome.
