Of course I called airtalk wireless and they said they would contact FedEx i TOLD THEM TO DEACTIVATE THE PHONE so nobody could use it wherever it was then I get an email from airtalk saying we'll FedEx said they delivered it so we will l give you a 30 voucher but NOT SEND ANOTHER FREE OF CHARGE PHONE well EVERY CRAPPY PHONE UNDER $30 OR A COUPLE DOLLARS MORE WAS OUT OF STOCK!!!! I DON'T FEEL I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY ONE CENT AFTER ALL I NEVER GOT IT!!! IF I HAD IT I SURE WOULD NOT TELL THEM TO DEACTIVATE IT!!! I contacted the main Lifeline program…

I contacted the main Lifeline program because according to Airtalk I can only get a Sim card or I have to buy new phone. Yet I speak to LifeLine.org whom overseas this government funded program whom told me that they were wrong they gave me the run around for over 2 week period now that this is almost cleared up the iphones offered to Medicaid members ard now out of stock. This is so much bullshit. I need to find a better carrier, with the way Airtalk handled my application it WON'T BE AIRTALK..... VERY POOR CUSTOMER RELATIONS, AND SERVICE.

They arent good

They arent good. I get their lifeline services and my phone after just a month began having hardware issues. Calls dropping, texts not coming in or going out well, etc. I did their troubleshooting stuff but nothing has worked and its just gotten worse. Can't use basic internet functions on it even on wifi, cant install a replacement texting app like they suggested. They are ignoring me when i ask for a replacement device. And on their site a replacement costs $30.00 which i dont have. Reported them to the FTC because this cant be legal to leave me hanging with severe medical issues without a reliable way to stay on the phone with doctors or for emergencies if needed when calls keep dropping. This has been going on for two months give or take. And getting worse.

My experience with AirTalk Wireless has…

My experience with AirTalk Wireless has been unacceptable.I received a defective Lifeline device in April and followed every step they required — IMEI, ICCID, photos, troubleshooting, documentation. Instead of honoring the warranty, AirTalk demanded I mail in my only phone and go without service for up to 30 days, even though I rely on my phone for employment, transportation, verification codes, and safety. When I filed an FCC complaint, AirTalk responded with contradictions, misinformation, and shifting instructions. They later mailed me a SIM card instead of a replacement device, even though my complaint was about a broken phone. The FCC requested a supplemental response from AirTalk months ago, and AirTalk simply ignored it. Three months later, I still have no working device, no continuity of service, and no resolution. This has been one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re considering AirTalk Wireless, be aware of how they treat Lifeline customers who need reliable service.

Customer service is horrible!

Over all the service is good. But i paid for an upgraded phone and received the wrong phone. I didn't realize I had received the wrong phone. I called customer service and talked to a person about the data not working on the phone. After a couple of emails back and forth. They said I could use a free warranty replacement to have the phone I ordered sent to me as soon as I sent them the wrong phone back. I politely declined and haven't heard from them since. Now I'm stuck with the wrong phone which was not an upgrade.

Grandma’s with disabilities beware!

My Grandma who has a severe disability in the form of mental developmental issues wished for a phone incase she needed to call for help, my grandmother has Type 2 Diabetes, and is deathly allergic to bees and wasps, which live in the large near her house, this scummy company gave her a 15 day warranty, but included the days of shipping as warranty days?! Then when she wished to simply get the screen fixed(which broke out of nowhere, no cracks, no drops, no damage visible) they told her she had to pay because the warranty expired?! The employee repeatedly kept bringing up “It has been almost a month since you got it.” And expected my grandmother that relies on government issued funds and my family to help her survive to be able to pay hundreds of dollars for a repair because this greedy, disgusting, company wouldn’t fix it for her! 1 STAR! Would never use again!

Horrible horrible horrible

Horrible horrible horrible. I can't send texts, and believe it or not, I don't get texts from people until about 12 hours after they've sent it. the phone is horrible and I am going back to Safelink. Oh yeah, and they turned off my Safelink phone and closed out my number without warning and now I can't log in to many of my apps because everything was tied to that number. This phone won't even let me download Cash app.

I’m new and regret it

I’m new and regret it. I got the A67L I get the phone is free and for low income people but let’s be very serious the phones provided are absolutely useless. I got the phone not even a week ago I got it set up after much struggle. It didn’t want to set up and I have set up many phones. When I finally got it set up I went to use the air talk app and get it set up the app would not open. It literally took it 20 minutes to open. The phone had horrible service I’m literally lucky if I get one bar but it spends a lot of time in sos mode. Another huge issue is when you charge it it over heats and shuts the phone off. When the phone shuts off it is extremely hard to get it to turn back on. The camera quality is horrendous my daughters ds from 2012 has better camera quality than the phone I get it we are lower income people but getting very poor service in a phone that should not be be given to anyone. They should do better. I literally live in an extremely rural area and neither service they work with work where we live. Oh they said I had the phone for 11 days and needed to make a call or service would be discontinued I literally had it 4 days. I’m going to try to get ahold of these people and cancel service.

Service satisfactory for 13 1/2 months

Have had service since June 20th, 2025 that would make it for roughly for about 13 1/2 months. My problem is not really with my iPhone 8 Plus that I purchased for $19.99 because that’s the one I liked the best at the time and also paid for express shipping and came quickly even sooner than expected. The airtalkwireless.com website did not give me issues except for my drivers license address not matching my home / shipping address so I had to wait for a while for the rejection and the proof of accepted documents that could be used to prove my address so I submitted my voters registration card that had my name and current address. My only gripe was that there was no mention of that the phone would be refurbished or even used and the battery was holding a 70 percent charge and called customer service and they said that they considered it acceptable for it to be like that so other than needing to charge it more it often and having to carry a extra power bank with me it was a satisfactory 13. 1/2 months but yesterday I decided I wanted go terminate service after finding out my neighbor could not get our building address to be accepted by airtalkwireless.com’s system and it states its a non deliverable address business or PO BOX which is FALSE. This is a 74 unit apartment building and I had no real issues or problems this whole year for some reason? So the address issue can not be fixed in anyway i found out on their website even though this is a residential apartment building address which is true so making a long story short I decided I do not want to do business with this company because I can not even purchase an upgrade on this website to deliver here and that is falsely accusing this address to be something else so I’ve elected to use mint mobile cellular for $15.00 a month since you get for what you pay for since the iPhone 8 Plus that I purchased last year was unlocked there’s no issues on switching carriers but you really do get what you pay for and can not expect very much if you are truly receiving the everything free unlimited talk and text 10gb data plan from the medium badly rated airtalkwireless. So frustrating fighting with a website and from reading previous posts here on trust pilot this address issue has been on going for a while and even though everything was practically okay for last year with me but now Mint Mobile’s cellular unlimited everything including unlimited 5G data for $15.00 a month seems the way to go. If you decide to try to go with airtalkwireless and take advantage of the free or lost cost iPhone? Just read more of these posts. If you have those little free phone tents in your community I’ve heard that Safelink wireless gives you a decent free android phone that’s new with unlimited talk and text with 10 gb of data and customer service. After a couple of years of being a valued Safelink wireless customer they mail you a cell phone upgrade for staying with them and it’s a totally free new android phone that provides lifeline service that you still need to qualify for every year in your household.

I received 2 of the free government phones from airtalk and both have the same problem it take me 5-30 minutes to make a call because the phone always turns off because it gets hot and they tell me I need to buy a phone because they only give 2 free phone doesn't matter if they don't work I still need to pay for a new one, so I have to save money for a phone and hope if I get it from airtalk and pay for it hopefully it will work and not be another piece of cra

Is one of the worst cellular providers…

Is one of the worst cellular providers there is. There wasn't a month that there were not issues with my phone with sending or receiving any type of text messages I even bought an upgraded phone thinking that maybe this would help and fulfill my commitment for the phone and decided not to stay with air wireless and they will not unlock a phone that I have paid for in full because It's AIRWIRELESSS and they don't unlock their phones to be used on others network

Phone did not work

Phone did not work. Would not allow you to enter full number to call out. I called to cancel. They still have not canceled my service. Worst phone ever. Took 6 minutes each time to turn on. Freezes up while trying to set it up. I suggest you report them if you have the same problem to the FCC, THE PUBLIC UTILITY COMMISSION, and LIFELINE SUPPORT CENTER. If they do not cancel you they are still getting paid by LIFELINE the monthly fee which LIFELINE told me was Fraud and it also effects any other free resources you may need.
