I have been living in one of the NYC appartments for over two years and I am genuinely satisfied with the service provided by Alohause. First of all, the booking process was very easy and one thing that struck me when I arrived was how accurate the pictures and the 3D map on the website are. The appartment itself is clean, comfortable and has eveything you need from cooking utensils to hair dryers and pillows. The team also does checks regularly to make sure the equipments are in good shape. Finally, the support team is very reactive, always willing to help and the communication is very smooth if you have any issue or would like to extend your stay! I would definitely recommend Alohause if you are looking for a place to stay!

I had a great experience staying with Alohause in NYC. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and in a great location, making it easy to get around the city. The team was always responsive and helpful whenever I had questions, and the whole process was smooth especially the move-in was very easy. My roommates were great too and I’ve heard from other people that they’ve had similar experiences in their Alohaus’s accommodations. Good apartment, but communication and safety issues
Booking was simple and convenient, roommates were great, and the apartment was in decent condition for NYC standards.
However, I experienced several serious issues during my stay. We had no warm water for 3 days, meaning I had to shower at a friend’s apartment.
About a month into my stay, something was changed with the locks and I was locked out of the apartment from 6 PM until 4 AM. Support kept telling me I would get an email “in a few minutes,” but I ended up having to sleep at a friend’s place without access to my room, clothes, or shower. As a young woman alone in NYC, this felt very unsafe and unacceptable. I also received no refund for the night.
The AC was also installed in May, even though the apartment was already reaching around 90°F in April.
Lastly, they do not clearly communicate that leases can apparently only end on the 15th or last day of the month, which resulted in me paying for extra days I will not even stay there for. When I raised this issue, I was repeatedly told “it’s in the agreement,” but I could not find this stated anywhere clearly.
Overall, there are positives, but communication and handling of tenant issues need major improvement.

1. The temporary water issue was caused by a city/neighborhood-wide water outage that affected the entire local grid and building line. This was a public utility matter completely outside of Alohause’s control.
2. As is standard practice every year in New York, A/C units were installed during the month of May. This schedule is dictated by when seasonal weather transitions permit and require them, ensuring both tenants comfort and safety guidelines are met.
3.Our policies regarding lease terms, fixed end dates, and notice periods were explicitly communicated and established during your initial booking process, as is standard practice for all our tenants.
4. The door locks were never changed, modified, or altered. Upon receiving your access report, our maintenance team responded, inspected, and confirmed the system's full functionality in less than 24 hours.
We sincerely regret that your perception of our service did not meet your expectations. Thank you for choosing to stay with us, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

I honestly think that Alouhouse offers the best options price-quality in Manhattan. Initially I was staying for 4 months and I decided to extend one more year as it has been so easy to book with them and communicate. They answer quickly and they help you out so much!! It is in convenient locations and fully furnished which makes your life easier .

I love my experience with alohause
I love my experience with alohause, I continue to renew my lease. Rooms are worth it with locations and amenities. Everything is clean and safe and working in good condition in my apartment. Grateful for the option to have this sublet option in NYC and for the team at Alphonse for helping me out so much.
Very good location. Ample Space. Good roommates (depends on your luck ig). The staff were responsive and willing to coordinate time for repairs (most of the times). Trash was taken care of timely. No issue of hot water or electricity.
Definitely better than most NYC short term apartments.

Excellent location NYC
I'm so glad I found the Alohuse apartment online through SpareRoom, per my nephew's recommendation. My daughter has accepted a 6-month Co-op in the Financial District, and she prefers to stay near Times Square for easy access to her NYU friend. The location is excellent and very safe day and night. The metro is only a 5-minute walk away. She met her roommates, and they are about her age and get along very well. You can get everything you need from Target, which is 10 minutes walk from the apartment. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting NYC.
It was so lovely staying with Alohause they were very attentive and took care of anything that was a concern. It was very clean and cozy and I felt very comfortable staying there and during my stay I made great friends whom were my roommates! I would definitely book a stay with them again! I would highly recommend renting with Alohause if you are staying in NYC!

Renting from Alohause was a wonderful experience! They made the process so easy to secure housing for my daughter’s fall semester at college. The apartment was beautifully furnished, clean and the bed was so comfortable. The apartment had everything you could need. Her roommates were fantastic and the neighborhood was great!
