Slow Refund & Lack of Transparency - 20 Days for a Rejected Transfer

I transferred £308.08 GBP (an accepted currency per Aspire) via Wise to my Aspire SGD SWIFT account on August 5, 2025. The payment went through but was later reported as rejected by Aspire and failed to reflect on my account. Aspire and its payment partner, Wallex, held my funds until August 18, 2025. far too long for a simple return. I was informed that the refund was initiated on August 13, 2025, yet no proof or reference was provided for several days. When the refund finally came through, only £301.13 GBP was returned. An unnecessary deduction of £6.95 GBP, which I had to escalate again. I only received the remaining amount by August 25, 2025 making it a 20-day frustrating experience overall. On the positive side, Aspire’s Escalations Senior, Nikhil, was professional, transparent, and provided the only clear explanation of the situation. He ensured I eventually got my full amount back. If the process had been explained this clearly from the start, I could have avoided a lot of stress and anxiety. However, the overall experience was frustrating, slow, and lacked transparency. Customer support often took 1–2 business days to respond to basic queries unless I followed up persistently. Aspire must improve refund speed, provide immediate proof of transactions, and prevent unnecessary deductions for rejected transfers.

Good product but poor customer service experience

I like the Aspire product, however, their customer support is really poor. We recently got stuck in an issue which could have easily been resolved in 1 day but took over 2 weeks. I just could not understand why it would take so long except the fact that the customer service rep was just not reading my message patiently, instead was focussed on providing irrelevant resolutions without understanding the core issue.

Terrible application experience

Terrible experience signing up. Sent a rejection letter before even having all the documents and insisted on sending personal bank statements... dodgy.

Misleading Offerings and Lies from Customer Service

We are an Indonesian company and wanted to work with Aspire for the sole purpose of offering payment links for our customers in IDR. This was advertised to us throughout the whole registration process. It took over a month for verification to be completed, as their system would constantly glitch and make us resubmit documents. Communication via email took long to get responses, but we went forward and finally received verification. We were looking forward to being able to use Aspire for our business, only to find once we had access to the account that they completely removed the option for Indonesian Rupiah and opening IDR accounts all together. I brought up my concern to the customer service representative weeks prior, as a friend told me they had a problem with IDR and Aspire, but the representative (Vamsi) assured me that it wasn't true and I would have no problems once I got into my account. Well, I've gotten into the account now and to my disappointment, No IDR available. Only USD, EUR, and GBP. Aspire wasted weeks of my time and energy and lied to me when I brought this up weeks ago. Update your websites and train your team before making huge changes in your offerings.

Hey Christine, we’re sorry for the experience you’ve had. You’re right to expect clear communication, and we sincerely apologise for the confusion around IDR availability. While we recently made changes to our product offering, we recognise that this should have been communicated more clearly transparently. Our team has already reached out to clarify the situation and assist with your account. We truly regret the time and effort this has cost you. Thank you again for your feedback.
