I’ve had several loans with Avant. I always paid them off early. Applying online is easy. You get a response back real fast. I will always use them for my financial needs.

Amateurs

Twice now, I've ended up double paying my bill for the month. The first time, they just charged my account twice when I authorized it once, and now this month, I check my app while doing the household bookkeeping over the weekend and I see my minimum payment due is now showing for my August due date, so I pay it right then. Now my statement email arrives today, Monday, and my minimum is still due, despite my payment from Saturday being posted and complete. The delay between the app and the e-mailed statement is now my problem and since their customer service is a pain in the butt and has always proven useless, I'll just have to double pay again. This is amateur hour. I'm done. I'm paying off my balance and then just letting it sit there open and empty, unused forever more until they finally get sick of having that credit used up by someone never touching it. They can go suck an egg. Heed my warning and go find a grown up credit card company.

Gave them proof of new address and would not send a new card and telling me i have a balance of 9 bucks. Surely not going to pay that!

I will never use this company again

I will never use this company again. I had been a loyal customer for several years with a $3,000 credit limit, and I always made my monthly payments on time through my checking account. Someone fraudulently used my Social Security number to try to open a new account and even told the company that I had never had an account before. That made no sense because I had an active account that I paid every month. I only found out about the fraud because I called to check my balance. I immediately contacted customer service and asked to speak with a supervisor, but that never happened. The representatives were rude and unhelpful. I also sent a formal letter explaining the situation, but I have never received a response. Instead of helping me resolve the fraud, they closed my account, and I’m still making payments on the balance. I expected much better treatment from a company I had been loyal to for years. This experience has been frustrating, disappointing, and completely unacceptable.

Great card and super easy to navigate payments, credit line increases etc. Payments post fast and they report to the major credit bureaus timely and accurately. Highly recommended if you want a hassle free card you can depend on and no gimmicks.

Definitely wouldn't recommend Avant…

Definitely wouldn't recommend Avant card. I had my account completely paid after I talked to them and confirmed the amount to pay off the card. Literally the new month started and they charged me interest for the charges made at beginning of previous month - even though it was paid off before the new month. They absolutely refused to assist me and said someone will get to me in 14 days....terrible operation.

They closed my account after 3 months…

**I have edited the review because they finally responded and reinstated the account without having to reapply. It took a little too long for the response but they did eventually step up** They closed my account after 3 months of inactivity, even though they had just sent me a new card 2 weeks earlier. When I explained the situation and told them the reason for some of the inactivity is that I lost the card, hence, why I asked for a new one. They said I would have to reapply, even though I have never held a huge balance or been late on a payment. When I explained that I did not want another hard inquiry on my report, they said there was nothing they could do about it. When I asked for a manager, they said one would call me back. They never did.

I was approved for loan didn’t like their administration fee didn’t sign final paperwork and they still put loan in my account I didn’t want loan anymore and it’s not right they should take there money back not make me wait two weeks see if they are taking it back or making me pay back the loan

I asked for a credit line increase to make a 1x large purchase and advant bank only increased my line 250 dollars. I have a 750 credit score. That is sad!!!
