I cancelled my Avant credit card in April 2026, 5 days after I was charged the yearly fee. This fee was for the upcoming year - May 2026-April 2027. I called to appeal this and was denied. So on top of having to pay a yearly fee for a card I no longer have, I was charged a late fee while I was waiting on Avant's decision. Very poor customer service. I am out $75 and have no recourse.

Customer support dont know what theyre requesting. The offshore team from Kenya and philippines have zero knowledge how Americans credit work and also no knowledge of our Credit rights. Seems like discrimination is what they do best here. I dont recommend Avant. Stay away from this creditor.

This company Avant LLC is a real joke they're very desperate very their customer service is very rude and obnoxious I had an account with them for many years I didn't have a balance after my second year they started charging $8.99 a month and then they turn around and charge you an annual fee which is a rip off I asked them about the $8.99 they say oh it's the report to the credit bureau that is your job automatically you shouldn't have to be charged to report anyone's credit to the credit bureau then you turn around and charge an annual fee which is rip off then you turn around I close my account June 19th of 2026 you impose the $8.99 monthly fee on June 19th I called you in reference to that situation you tell me I still must pay the $8.99 I close my account because of that situation I don't understand you guys y'all got a lot of foreign people answering the telephone they're rude they sound like they're from Jamaica they obnoxious they shouldn't be a nobody's telephone answering or doing service for them Avant I would never recommend nobody for your services I would never tell anybody about your services at all your whole business practice is a joke you lied to the consumer and a God tell you the truth I wish your business go under because you're ripping people off you shouldn't be charging nobody no $8.99 for you to report to their credit bureau that's foolishness

Worst loan ever, I’m paying on time and every month but the loan is not decreasing! Avant- only care about their interest! They do not care about their customers! Stay away and do not use them! You will regret it! Look for another loan that will NOT CHARGE SO MUCH INTEREST!

The process with Avant was quick and easy. I didn’t experience any issues or have questions along the way. I was emailed multiple times asking if I needed funds, which was honestly a relief because I did have an unexpected situation arise with my home. I received two notices about the home exterior needed repainting because the previous owners used an unapproved color. Avant took a weight off my shoulders. Funds were delivered the following day a minute after midnight.

Beyond annoyed with script reading call center employees that I cannot understand due to language barriers and the background noise associated with a large open call center. This was while trying to resolve an issue with a payment processed by Avant prior to the "due date" which hit my former credit union. I updated the account information via the Avant portal prior to the payment due date and received a confirmation email. Imagine my dismay after the payment hit the credit union I am no longer using resulting in an over draft fee from the credit union. Then four days later Avant sends me an email telling me that I am being charged an insufficient funds fee due to their error. I understand the people in the call center are just trying to make a living. I get it. However, Avant should take better care to ensure the employees interacting with customers are in a area without significant background noise and are able to speak without an accent so strong you cannot easily understand what they are saying.
The processing to get an account was friendly after receiving the pre qualifying letter.
The account was successfully requested and paid off. The payment included a “30-day payoff,” which encompasses any interest accrued within the 30-day period. Additionally, I requested the account to be closed. Despite the account showing a zero balance, indicating full payment and being closed, I was still being charged. This is one of the worst credit cards to have.
My experience with Avant credit card and personal loan has been great because of how easy and convenient the whole process was. My loan was deposited into my account within 24 hours. I would definitely recommend Avant.
