Barbri's platform is inadequate at testing and preparing user's actual knowledge of bar topics. The beginning of the course instructs test takers to predict the answer based on the call of the question and then question stem, however their questions are structured in a format that makes it impossible to do so. The course also tests on niche rules and exceptions not covered in the court matertials. There are also several sections that are "starred" as highly testable but also indicated with a gray bar meaning, they are not covered in the lectures. The MEE sample answers do not provide accurate grading criteria and exceed what graders are looking for in the exam. Although it is true that Barbri provides exemplary sample answers, they're not realistic therefore students are completely misguided on what graders are actually looking for and what will give them a passing score. Their program is costlier than a significant amount of other programs and includes less practice materials than pretty much every other program. Essentially, you recieve much less value for more money. I would highly advise against purchasing this program. Students need practice with actual mbe stlye questions and shouldn't be paying for poorly worded practice questions that inefficienly attempt to draw out nuances and exceptions. They distract and deter practice and fail to provide actual bemnchmarks.
Barbri is a great SQE1 and SQE2 provider. The structure, tutoring and flexibility provided is second to none. I would highly recommend the SQE1 and 2 combined package to anyone who is working full time alongside studying. I passed first time in both exams and am very grateful to the team at Barbri!

It's crap, use another product.
Long lectures interrupted by short eight question multiple choice. Half the time, the lectures don't even cover the MCQ information, the course companion book has much more information and they don't tell you that if you're not either using that instead, or using that to supplement the lectures, you're going to fail. Overall, with less actual graded assignments and a crappier setup for their actual review, go with another bar review site, this one's DEFINITELY not worth the money.

I loved Barbri. I liked how it was structured but yet you could make your own schedule with the upcoming tasks. I passed my Bar exam on the first try using Barbri. The practice exams really helped me feel prepared.

Not all of the professors were good. I frequently had to switch to reading/reviewing the material in the textbooks after listening to one lecture because the professor was inadequate.

Very useful for foreign-trained lawyers - comprehensive videos, practice exercises, and coaching. It's on the pricy side, but I found that it was well worth it.

Second time using barbri for a bar exam. Needed more essay practice and tailoring for the attorney (one day) California bar exam. Needed more memorization predict for California rules.

Barbri is not afraid of feedback after bar results
A bar review company is great because it’s not afraid to get feedback after the bar results. I did Barbri review after using a different bar review company. I found that while Barbri’s reviews rigorous, I was better prepared for the Bar. The MPT workshop was super helpful for the bar. The MBE questions are similar to the ones in the actual bar. The professor are available for questions.

The content and materials are very easy to use and allow for great flexibility when studying around full time work. The course itself is easy to follow and well structured. The content is clear and well presented. The tutors are well experienced. The overall course provides excellent foundations for preparing for the SQE. The support team is very responsive and accommodating which makes the enrolment process easy. Hardcopy materials are made available very quickly upon enrolment, allowing for a timely start to the course. No cons.

The videos are great
The videos are great. The exam reviews of the various practice exams are superb.
I would recommend making the availability of the hard copy books that accompany the program more clear. It was not until after completing the program did i realize i could order books. I was under the impression that I only had the digital material available to me.

The deep dive videos were really helpful, especially with the multiple choice review right after. I loved all the essay practice, and would have loved more even if just self grading options. I think the foundations videos were a waste of time and the review videos were just okay.

The web based study program included ideal phases (introductory, mid, and advanced), excellent instructors, and plenty of great practice tests and quizlets. The system provided good motivation and paced things well to be prepared for the Bar Exam. Best of all was the outcome - I passed!

The video's were ok. Contracts was really boring. Need to put Doug Moll on that one. The animated videos are cheesy. Focus more on writing make it fun if possible. I failed the bar by 4 points but did complete the entire Barbri course. I need more help writing. So likely it is just me and not Barbri.

My experience was pretty good.
I can't compare it to other bar prep companies because I have only used Barbri, but it was pretty good. The only major negative thing I recall was that the practice questions from Barbri seemed obvious as to what they were testing, like they were leading me to a specific "point" that I should learn. On the bar exam, the questions felt very vague in the sense that it was hard to pinpoint the precise doctrine or legal rule tested.
Another thing I didn't enjoy is the high amount of lecture videos with much depth and length. I had to go outside of barbri to explain and reexplain some things that weren't clicking for me, but in other areas, I already knew most of the information in a particular video, but felt like I had to go through the Barbri videos regardless or otherwise I would feel "behind."
Other than that, it's all very good. The lecturers were fantastic. The lecture videos were structured well. The practice questions were relevant to what I learned that day. The practice essay and feedback were somewhat helpful.
I scored well above the 270 requirement. I did nearly equally well between the MEE and the MBE. I did not do many practice MEEs, and of the practice MEEs I did complete on Barbri, I mostly scored 2-4s. I only did 350 or so practice questions on Adaptibar, and I completed about 75% of the Barbri course. I admittedly did not even complete the full 75%; I went through and marked several sections as "complete" just to emotionally cope with the fact that I wasn't able to complete the average percentage of the course.
As a side note, I do believe that people would benefit if the deep dive lecture videos are broken down from 50 minutes to a more digestible 20 to 30 minutes. Many times, after hours of lectures, practice questions, and memorizing, the last thing I wanted to do was begin a 55 minute property lecture or whatever. That felt demoralizing and it felt like an uphill battle. Mind you, I did spend 7-9 hours of my day prepping.
Overall, I strongly recommend Barbri to any law students whose goal is to pass the bar exam on the first try.

Highly recommend BARBRI for bar prep!
I have now taken, and passed, three bar exams in three states across 15 years. I have used BARBRI as my bar prep course for each exam, and can’t imagine using anything else. It’s a comprehensive review that uses cumulative learning and repetition to ensure that by bar exam day, you’ve had the right blend of content learning and active practice on essays and MPTs. From a format perspective, it works well for someone who’s a Type A visual learner, because of the written lecture format that accompanies the verbal lecture. The daily recommendations that change as you move through the course to account for your weak spots and getting behind are also extremely helpful.
I also want to highlight that the lecturers BARBRI hires are both intelligent and personable, even in pre-recorded lectures. They approach both the subject matter and the concept of the bar in a very human way, and in more than one lecture, a professor was reminding me that this too shall pass (and so will you - thanks Prof. Franzese!), that taking the bar is a privilege but it is certainly a difficult process, and that slow and steady wins the race. Those reminders are the gold nuggets along the way that help to keep your eye on the prize in the middle of an intellectually and emotionally challenging few months.
As the bar format changes yet again, I would trust BARBRI to be at the leading edge to figure out the best way to prep for Next Gen as well. My most recent bar result was a score in the top 1-2% nationally, and I fully credit BARBRI with that success. I hope I don’t have to take any more bar exams, but would absolutely use them again if I have to.
Honorable mention goes to the BARBRI MPRE course - I have taken the MPRE twice and passed both times, using Barbri’s MPRE prep. And that one is free!

Registering for a course was a major hassle. Customer service proved unhelpful, forcing me to spend hours figuring out how to get them to process my invoice and grant course access. Charging premium prices without reliable support is unacceptable, look elsewhere .

Good structure and organisation and useful materials for learning. Useful mocks and questions for each topic. But when doing the actual exam, the focus is quite a bit different from BARBRI practices. For some areas I wished I had pay more attention/ practice questions had more variety of ways of asking.
