I was very disappointed with my experience. The company’s website and founder’s videos repeatedly describe their cabinets as being among the “best in the business.” Based on those claims, I expected premium-quality cabinetry and drawer boxes. Unfortunately, that is not what I received. The drawer boxes were low quality and did not meet the standard that was advertised. If you’re expecting high-end cabinets with premium drawer construction, I would not recommend this company. I’ve included photos so others can judge the quality for themselves. What made the experience even more frustrating was the customer service. After I raised my concerns, Barker Modern was unapologetic and stopped returning my calls. I also experienced problems with receiving my order, which only added to the frustration. Overall, the product quality did not match the company’s marketing, and the lack of responsive customer service made the situation even worse. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Barker Modern.

Thanks for your feedback on the Barker Modern cabinet line. It sounds like your concern is with the Baltic birch plywood drawer boxes. I’m not sure exactly what led you to believe these are poor quality, but we have sold close to one million drawer boxes made from this material, and this is the first time we have received this type of complaint claiming the material is inferior. I reviewed your customer service email where you referenced a KraftMaid cabinet at Home Depot and noted that their drawer boxes are made from 3/4-inch imported rubberwood material. You then attempted to use that comparison as the basis for a chargeback. That chargeback was not successful, and the reason is simple: the drawer boxes you received are exactly what was ordered and what is shown on our website. The drawer boxes we provide are 5/8-inch thick Baltic birch plywood. This thickness provides an excellent balance of strength, rigidity, and usable interior storage space. Using 3/4-inch stock would reduce usable drawer space and typically requires a different drawer slide design. Our drawer boxes are paired with Movento drawer slides, and the combination of 11-ply Baltic birch plywood with a clearcoat finish is one of the strongest and longest-lasting drawer box setups available. From the photos you posted, the exposed top edge does show the plywood construction. That is not a defect. It shows the layered structure and strength of the material. We show this exact construction on our website, including enlarged high-resolution product photos, and we also discuss the drawer boxes in detail in our intro video. Because of that, I’m not sure where the claim of misleading information is coming from. Your repeated request for a full credit on an $11,000 order because you did not like the plywood used for the drawer boxes was declined because the product supplied matched what was ordered, described, photographed, and shown on the website. Great when you aren’t going to DIY it
Excellent quality and easy to put together. Reasonable cost considering how much it would have been to buy the materials to DIY it. Will definitely be a return customer if my daughter breaks the other cheap particle board drawer in her bathroom 😂
Communication is horrible
Company doesn’t do phone calls, and written communication is so bad it is clear they aren’t interested in resolving issues. I had to cut my losses and purchase my drawers somewhere else.
Kitchen draw replacement
I order a kitchen draw with an odd size. They sent the item to me with my specific size. I assemble it with no problem and it fit perfectly. There workmanship and quality is excellent. The price was good compare to other companies I got quotes from. I will use them from now on.
Small Order
I ordered 2 kitchen drawers for my rental property. I provided the measurements on there site and also sent a text message. I did receive a reply that they have all that was needed. I expected a quicker turnaround time, however, the drawers came in 3 weeks. They were nicely package and delivered by FedEx. I assembled the duck tail drawers within 30 minutes, no issues, no directions for assembly came with the drawers. I would call upon Barker Cabinets in the future.

Price performance communication
Price performance communication. It was not hard to assemble but a piece of paper or links to the numerous youtube videos would be nice. They are better priced than anyone I could find. It'd be nice to have the height adjustable in 1/2 in increments. I will have to now glue on 1/2 in sqr dowell rods

Never know what you’re gonna get. So I ordered one kitchen cabinet draw. I was amazed of the quality, fit, and function of Barker’s product. So I purchased 4 more draws to complete my make over. I recommend Barker to all that want a great product and pricing.

Hal seldom take the time to write a review for if I wrote one for every purchase I made with every different company, all I’d end up doing all day is writing reviews. But for this company, i’ll make an exception. Very simply , they delivered on time . The price was competitive. The millwork quality was excellent. I think that about covers it. Oh yeah, I highly recommend them for any replacement drawers you might need. I’m sure their other products are just as fine.

My drawers shipped within the specified timeframe, and shipment tracking was accurate. Drawers were made to exact specification, and were easily assembled. Quality was very good, and price was reasonable. I won't hesitate to use Barker in the future.
