My purchase of the Wouxun KG-UV9PX has shown to be a premier hand held radio with all the operating features and settings that makes the HT radio a pleasure to use. Expanding the xmit frequencies was a bonus to support my wide split out-of-band MARS repeater ops. My few usage and spec questions were answered with authority and purchasing appropriate supporting radio add-ons added to the experience.

Overall
Overall, exactly as advertised. Radio performs well when listening and using one band. When two signals come in simultaneously there will be crackling on the speaker. This should be corrected to allow only one channel opening up the speaker at a time. You can’t follow two conversations walking over each other anyway.

Thanks for this Dave, I appreciate it. The UV9PX+ has a Menu Function called S-MUTE "Speaker Mute" where you can customize the dual-receiver performance. You can have it operate more like a dual-watch radio if preferred. It's true, with 2 very strong signals coming in on both receivers, it can overload the audio circuit a little bit. Cheers and Enjoy!

Mark is great. Will definitely be purchasing from him again. I love the KG-UV9PX+, hate to say it, more than my Yaesu FT-5D. Different radios, but I seem to grab the UV9PX+ more.

Stephen, It's too bad that you refused my offer to repair or replace your discontinued radio, which had a very minor metal plating manufacturing error of an external part. Instead, you became argumentative and insulting, even refusing my offer to return and refund the entire order (after you threatened to send everything back without an RMA #), and then threatened to post a bad review. Your intractable position to work with me in good faith (like 99.9 % of my other customers), puts you in a select group of disgruntled, unreasonable customers that I will now no longer do business with.
I really am not a fan of the website build but this is a solid business with good response efforts and product.
I recommend.
