I used this service for a single history on one vehicle and paid by Paypal. A week later my papal was charged for a monthly subscription. I called customer service and was easily able to cancel the unintended subscription and immediately received the refund. Even though the representative said it could be 10 days, I received the email from Bumper and a message from PayPal that the refund was complete, while still on the phone with Bumper.

Bumper is misleading customers by advertising reports for just $1, then charging unauthorized fees. I was charged $30.90 without my consent.
When I contacted customer support to ask why I was charged for a monthly subscription that I never agreed to and requested a refund, they simply canceled the subscription but no refund.
After reading other reviews, it seems many people have experienced the same issue. I would not recommend using this service.

Took subscription for years, refused to refund
Took subscription for years. Provided no service. Refused to refund. To be clear:
- I accidentally subscribed.
- Did not notice for 3 years they were taking money (assumed it was a podcast subscription).
- At not point did the email me or provide any service or any indicate that they were continuing my service. Which is what you'd do if you want to keep taking money without your customer noticing.
- I asked them for evidence they'd provided me with any service - they refused.
- They refused to refund.

False advertising. The link in my search said look up vehicle information by tag number for free and this was not free. There is no free option or partial report for free. Nothing is free so they lied, and I would not trust the company that advertises something for free and then tries to charge you for it. Losers!
