Incompetent "doctors". I asked about their oral options and was told by Dr. Dev they were compounded and bioidentical. This was a LIE. They charged me a ridiculous amount of money for meds that I could get at any pharmacy, including the one I work at. I also found that DHEA is commonly available everywhere, no need to pay these prices. I did NOT have any improvement in my symptoms and the "doctors" wanted to keep on, keeping on with the same treatment. Also, I just noticed the glowing reviews on the Winona site, yet there is no way for me to leave one--if that isn't a red flag, I don't know what is. Sometimes they automatically refill your meds, sometimes they don't--like my 3rd fill.

They are created through a process that extracts and purifies plant-derived hormones, which are then compounded by a licensed pharmacist and prescribed by a board-certified physician. We also understand your concerns regarding DHEA. While DHEA is available for purchase over the counter, at Winona we offer it as a prescription medication because patient safety is our priority. Prescribing DHEA allows our physicians to recommend doses that are both safe and appropriate based on each patient's individual needs. We recognize that treatment response varies from person to person. While many women begin experiencing symptom relief within the first month of treatment, approximately 80% report significant relief within three months. However, some patients require adjustments to their treatment plan, and not every therapy is the right fit for every individual. We also apologize for the frustration you experienced with your refill process. After 10 weeks of treatment, all patients must complete their follow up to prevent running out of refills. After that first follow-up, future ones will be sent yearly. Thank you again for your honest feedback.
