This thing is a mess
This thing is a mess. Overpriced and the warranty registration is designed to mess you up. First, makes you download an app. Spyware or something. Afterwards, code doesn't even work until after 24 hrs and if you lose it BECAUSE YOU ARE FORCED TO WAIT then you're stuck because they won't even help you. I can already imagine if you make a claim. Believe the other folks that said they got denied. Don't even bother with this company. They designed it to just get money and not help afterwards. You're better off with some other brand

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we're sorry to hear about your experience. We would like to clarify a few points regarding the registration process.
The app is a necessary part of the registration, as it performs a screen functionality test and requires a photo of the device to determine if the screen is damaged prior to coverage. We want to assure you that the app is secure and used solely for this purpose.
Regarding the 24-hour delay, registrations cannot be completed on the same day as the purchase. If the incorrect purchase date is entered, the app will temporarily lock out to prevent errors, but our support team is always available to assist with any issues during this process.
We take customer satisfaction seriously and strive to improve the experience at every step. If you would like, we can further assist you in resolving any concerns. Please reach out to us directly so we can help.
Thank you again for your feedback.

I applied for a claim, and they told me they would not pay me because I repaired the phone before the confirmation. In other words, I have to wait a couple of months to get their approval before repairing my device.
Please note that the claim contains the receipt, which means I can fix my device before confirmation.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand your frustration, and we’d like to clarify how the claims process works to avoid any future confusion. The claims process does not take months to complete, the claim center follows up within 2-3 business days via email.
It is important that all repairs receive approval from our claims center before any work is done on the device. This step ensures that your claim is fully processed and meets the necessary requirements for coverage. Unfortunately, repairing your device before receiving approval does result in the claim being denied, as outlined in the policy.
If you have any further concerns or need assistance with future claims, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly. We’re here to help.

Hi Anthony,
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about your disappointment with our screen repair guarantee. We would like to clarify the terms to ensure there's no misunderstanding.
Customers are given 30 days to complete their screen repair guarantee registration. However, any physical damage that occurs before the registration is finalized cannot be covered under the screen repair guarantee, as the coverage only begins after the registration is completed. This policy ensures that any pre-existing damage is not included under the guarantee.

I purchased the liquid glass for the 1st time from cellhelmet on a new phone. I hadn't had the chance to register yet when there was an accident that shattered my screen, I only had the phone for a week. The 30 days given for you to register is nonexistent and I just wasted $100 on this product. I'll not be purchasing again. Very disgusted with this company smh

Hi Melissa,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry to hear about the unfortunate accident with your phone.
The registration process for our Liquid Glass product is crucial for activating the protection plan. As stated in our terms, registration must be completed within 30 days of purchase and before any damage occurs to the device. Unfortunately, you did not contact us for assistance registering until after your device became damaged.
Wow! You guys are awesome! I thought this was going to be a long drawn out fight to get it approved. Thank you for working with me and operating with principles. I've used cell helmet for years and this is the closest I've ever had to a problem and you resolved it so quick and effortlessly.

Cell Helmet refused to honor warranty & lied
They refused to honor warranty less than a year after purchasing it. I didn't find out until after I paid for a replacement screen (and another $300 warranty).
They subsequently canceled my new warranty (after I complained about Cell Helmet not honoring my previous warranty claim). The agents blatantly lied to me in email, and the one time I was actually able to do live chat (their live chat was unavailable in over 90% of my attempts to reach them).

Hello Russ,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're genuinely sorry to hear about your experience, as we are committed to standing behind our products and services.
We’d like to clarify a few points. Our screen repair guarantee requires registration within 30 days of purchase, as mentioned on the registration card and in our terms and conditions. Unfortunately, your registration was submitted almost two months late, and we didn’t receive any communication from you at that time to address this delay, which might have allowed us to assist you sooner.
Regarding the second Liquid Glass purchase you made a month ago, we noticed that the registration instructions were again not followed. We provided alternative options to help ensure your device was covered, but understand that you chose not to pursue them. Please know that our offer still stands if you decide to revisit this in the future.
We hope this clarifies the situation, and we're here to assist you if you need any further support.
Order was easy to place and was quickly confirmed, July 1, and shipped the next day. Even with the 4th of July holiday I received the cover on the 5th.

SCAM
I purchased the product, had it professionally installed. As I went to register, my phone dropped and the screen cracked. They said that since the product was damaged at the time of register, they would not honor their warranty. My phone screen wasn't cracked at the time of the product being applied/ installed by a professional. Regardless of the fact that my screen wasn't damaged at the time of professional install, they call void because it was damage at the time of the registration, even though just moments before it wasn't damaged.
The more upsetting part is I asked this scenario: "So if i HAD JUST purchased and installed professionally the liquid glass. LITERALLY turned around inside the store to walk out, phone drops and the screen cracks before I even get a chance to register, you'd still say that person is SOL?" Their reply: "If that scenario happened, you would not be able to file a claim due to the previously explained reasons. (You cannot register a device that has a damaged screen. You did. Your claim was denied as such, unfortunately. It has nothing to do with who applied the liquid glass to your device.) You can view the terms and conditions below if you would like to read further into this at all".
I get it, if it was a "self" install or unverified "unprofessional install" and no proof the screen is/isn't damaged at the time of application, but I was at a store, an associate put it on. I paid for them to put it on, my phone damaged after it was put on and I was in the process of registering the product when my phone got damaged.

Hi Ana,
Your claim was denied due to your device already being damaged when you registered it through the app, which is against the terms and conditions of our screen repair guarantee.
The device that is being registered must be undamaged at the time of registration. Physical damage incurred prior to registration being completed will not be covered, unfortunately.
Buyer beware - don’t buy this product it doesn’t work
If I could rate lower then a 1 star I would. Had product under 2 weeks when I barely dropped phone and then huge scratch. Product doesn’t protect phone screen. Then tried a warranty claim and they want back up their warranty. Now I have a cracked screen with liquid on top that can’t be removed. Complete scam and terrible product.

Hi Kendra,
Thank you for reaching out. I understand your frustration regarding the denial of your claim. I apologize for any inconvenience caused. Our registration process requires specific steps to ensure accurate verification of device condition, as outlined in our app instructions. This includes taking a clear photo of the front screen to confirm its condition without damage.
It's important to note that our registration process is not manually monitored. This is why the app guides users through multiple opportunities to confirm the accuracy of the information they submit, such as using the front-facing camera and verifying visibility in a mirror to capture the screen clearly, including all edges.
Following these steps accurately is crucial for a valid registration. Regrettably, since the registration process was not completed as per these guidelines, we are unable to overturn the denial from the claim center.
If you have any further questions or need clarification on the process, please feel free to contact us directly. We're here to assist you.
Best regards,
cellhelmet customer support

Terrible customer service
I have gotten nowhere with a claim on my iPhone 15 pro MagSafe case. I’ve provided all requested information and I get nothing more than reply emails saying my request “has been updated”. My requests for additional information are met with the same response. For a $50 case with a lifetime warranty, this is not acceptable.
UPDATE 6/20/2024
All information was sent to you on 6/10/24 (a Monday) and I sent follow up emails asking about the plan twice after that. I do now have the 6/18/24 email offering to let me pay $9.99 to get a replacement case but with no guarantee that the problem has been sorted. Still not terribly impressed but glad to hear back.

Hi Virginia,
You followed up with us over the weekend when we were not open for business. We then followed up with you as soon as we were able on 06/18/2024. At 12:28 PM EST, we provided you with all the information you would need to order your replacement phone case under warranty. I'm sorry if you haven't viewed that email at this time, but please contact [email protected] if you require further assistance.
Aaron was very helpful and stayed online until my issue was resolved.

Absolutely horrible process. The repair place that has fixed. My iPad did not have clear instructions nor did Cell helmet have clear instructions on submitting a claim for a repaired iPad. I’ve lost out on $150 and I will never in my life again use this products!!!!!!

Hi Christina,
We regret to hear about your dissatisfaction with our claims process. However, upon review, it's evident that your claim was denied due to failure to follow the clear registration instructions provided. Specifically, we required a clear photo of the, undamaged front screen of your device, which was not provided.
While we understand your frustration, we stand by our process, which is designed to ensure fair assessment of claims. We take pride in our commitment to clarity and transparency.

Poor Communication--Customer will always be wrong
Here is my communication over the last two days with Cellhelmet after dealing with Olive Bridge Claims which I'm assuming is a third party company who deals with the warranty /claims:
Chrystal: May 7, 2024, 3:49 PM EDT
Hi,
I reached out about two weeks ago to figure out how to get a replacement screen protector as I registered for the Cellhelmet warranty and was directed to fill out a claim. I went through all the steps and was told by Olive Branch that the "repair" would be covered and I would need to go to the store were I bought my screen protector and send in the receipt. I went to the store and purchased a new screen at full price sent in the receipt and now they are saying it's not covered...that I did not correctly inform them of the problem and that I should have just come on this website to get the replacement.....however NO one can tell me how I would do this.
Aron (cellhelmet): May 7, 2024, 4:09 PM EDT
Hi Chrystal,
Thank you for your email. We do not have any previous communications on file with you under your email address. Where and how did you reach out to us two weeks ago? If you had reached out and informed us that you needed help replacing your damaged tempered glass, we would have done so at that time. We would not have made you fie a claim when it is necessary under our lifetime replacement warranty.
Chrystal May 7, 2024, 4:12 PM
So here is a screenshot of the original email I sent…..it went through my iCloud but this email address is the one I primarily use.
Aron: May 7, 2024, 5:01 PM EDT
Thank you. You are incorrect that we provided you with information to file your claim, as you never followed up on our email from 04/29/2024. I attached a screenshot of that email below for your reference. If you had followed up, we would have been able to assist you with replacing this item.
Chrystal Tue, May 7, 8:00 PM
Why can’t you help me with it now? Its been a few weeks and if you all can send me a replacement screen protector, I now after almost two weeks understand that this is an option and there is apparently a 9.99 processing fee and some other form I need to fill out), how do I go about doing this. I’m not making up that I’ve talked to people with Cellhelmet and Olive Bridge Claims. I feel like I keep getting passed back and forth/around and no one has worked with me to make it clear to me the steps I need to take or how to go about the proper process.
Aron: May 8, 2024, 9:07 AM EDT
We have been helping you. Why do you want to purchase another tempered glass when you already bought your replacement at full price at Wireless Zone? I can provide you with the warranty page down below to order these replacements in the future if you need them.
Chrystal 5/8/25 9:54 AM
Aron,
It's the principle of the matter. If I was entitled to a replacement then despite the fact there was miscommunication and I ended up paying full price for a new one, I should be entitled to the replacement screen. That is after all the selling point and promise of the company is in not?
Aron: May 8, 2024, 10:24 AM EDT
We are not sending a free replacement due to your misunderstanding of the warranty process. We reached out to the email you sent, and you never followed up with us due to the multiple addresses that you use.
Chrystal: May 8, 2024, 10:28 AM EDT
Aron,
I’m not asking for you to send me a free replacement screen. I'm asking you to allow me to take advantage of the warranty you have in place that allows me to get a replacement screen for 9.99.
****My Opinion: THIS COMPAY DOES NOT HONOR IT WARRANTY****ALSO WHEN YOU CALL THEM IT DIRECTS YOU TO THE WEBSITE TO TRY AND FIGURE THINGS OUT FOR YOUR SELF, AND THEN BLAME YOU IF YOU DONT FILL OUT THE RIGHT FORM**
Horrible service, keep away. Purchase the product for my phone. When it was time for them to cover the warranty, they gave me some b. S about not taking a picture when I clearly stayed That I purchased the product from phone from one of there Vendor and was willing to provide them with the information. Buy yourself a case with a screen cover and call it a day you have been Warn!
Purchased a new smartphone and cellhelmet to protect the screen. It’s been three days since I bought it and still can’t register cellhelmet. I’ve emailed many times and they respond with needing to complete info on a link after which they tell me they’re on it. I was told I need to follow up with cellhelmet. I’ve been in contact with Aaron who hasn’t helped at all. Why do I need to go through all this to register the product for a warranty?? It’s BULL!!!
