I truly would like to thank Brad Wurtz and his entire team for their professionalism and dedication in helping me in my refi. I really can’t express how grateful I am for the kindness and support they gave me during this process. I have already recommended this company to others as I also look to do business in the near future. Thank you again. Best regards. Todd Williams

this company must be a scam

this company must be a scam. i was working with a lender named Matthew for nearly two months. the week of my closing date he "left the company." after messing up a bunch of the numbers on my loan application, as well as even the spelling of my name. Then our loan was switched over to the so called "branch manager" Darrian Trillo. I truly expected a better experience, and man was I wrong. i was doing an FHA loan, first time home buyer, and yet this company didn't want to explain anything to me about the loan, the numbers or how things were coming up. The day of closing comes and I was told 18 thousand. By the time they sent that, the bank was closed. I had planned on going to the bank the following day to do a wire transfer. the next day, I get an email stating that I am high risk and need to send an extra 12 thousand that they will later send back. This is when I was pretty turned off of this company. As why would a FHA loan not just require 3.5% down. All of a sudden that number is jumping, without an explanation, so I didn't wire the money. The next day, Darrian calls saying it will be 24 thousand for closing cost. I asked for a detailed explanation of why the whole loan process I was told 18 thousand and suddenly it was 6 thousand more. On the paperwork they even had the down payment listed at the wrong number. By 7 thousand less. This is two, almost 3 months of working with this company when I finally felt so weird I reached out to a different company. Nation Wide home mortgage, in two weeks were able to get everything together and sent me to the title company to sign all the documents. 15,000 for closing. Suddenly that number was 9,000 less than what citywide wanted, and they explained everything about this process that I've never been through before. I know this was a novel, so if you wanted an honest review, you got one. Don't go with this company. Things are just too weird. If you need a lender, go with The Richardson group. They are amazing.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, Jenee. We are truly sorry for the frustration and confusion you went through, especially as a first-time homebuyer. This is one of the biggest financial decisions of your life and you deserved clear communication, accurate information, and a smooth process from start to finish. We fell short of that and we understand why you felt the way you did. What you described is not the experience we strive to provide our clients, and we take feedback like this seriously. We would very much like the opportunity to learn more about what happened and make sure it is addressed internally. If you are open to it, please reach out to us directly at [email protected] and we will make sure your concerns get to the right people. We wish you all the best in your new home.

Citywide lowered rate and more

Dave and I are very appreciative of the hard work, Brad Wurtz and his office put into making this happen for us. I know our case was a little unique and not easy on their end. However it was evident Brad and the staff cared enough to think outside of the box to help us lower our rate. We saved a significant amount on our monthly mortgage payment, home owners insurance and consoildated some credit card debt into a better payment. Brad went out of his way to make sure all of our questions were answered before our late night closing. Highly recommend this office! Thank you.

Home Equity Loan

The knowledge, courtesy and amicability of our representative/loan officer Brad Wurtz. The company is very thorough and helpful in assisting with all aspects of the loan process. Mr. Brad Wurtz was the most integral and helpful individual in this entire process. I highly recommend him and this company to anyone and everyone I know who is considering a home equity loan.

Do not trust this company

I was misled, lied to, constatly given wrong information. THey were consistently behind and caused two delays in closing. They were so far off the mark- I had to pay for items that should have been covered by my DPA on my personal credit cards because they didn’t know what they would be. Awful experience and my complaint with CFPB was filed and their response was to blame me for not getting items in on time- even though I provided a clear timeline to the contrary

Hi Teresa, I’m very sorry to hear this was your experience. Conflicting information and closing delays are stressful, and we understand how frustrating that is. Our branch leadership team is already reviewing your file so we can better understand what happened and learn from it. If you’re open to it, a manager will be reaching out directly to you. Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. We take it seriously.

Brad was amazing to work with. He stayed late to make sure I had all of my documents ready and to answer questions I had for him, even during closing, he made himself available. DO NOT USE FOR NY MORTGAGES

DO NOT USE FOR NY MORTGAGES. What a nightmare! They kept asking for documents that were sent to them multiple times. The Closing Disclosure was not finalized until the morning of closing. I asked Ryan for my clients CD multiple times and he refused to provide it to me, I was the borrowers lawyer and he refused to send it to me. My client sent me what Ryan had sent him. Once I got the final CD from the bank, the bank attorney fee went up $550.00. The CD they provided the client said $950, then they tried to get $1500. Of course I disputed the sudden change. Not sure which was worse, Ryan refusing to send my my client's closing disclosure or him laughing at me when I asked for it again. It took months to clear this loan and the closing itself took THREE HOURS. If you need a NY loan, go to a NY broker located in NY. Having a license is one thing, knowing how to actually do the work and understanding that the buyers attorney must be provided certain documents to protect her client from fraud is another.
