There customer service is a joke

There customer service is a joke. I spent hours trying to get a refund for the annual fee Coinbase incorrectly charged me. The chat agents don't respond in a timely manner and the chat times out making you start over with a new agent like every 5 minutes. It takes a special "team" to process a refund and I was told it would take 8 days. After 8 days and no refund, I was told I had to wait another 8 days. It's ridiculous.

I had my account here for ages. wanted to use it first time properly after binance had pulled out of EU market. now for buying crypto and sending to my own wallet the process was supposed to be easy, quick and not so costly. according to AI research that is. well it was not. first the deduct a substantial fee from my spot trade which is not shown before execution. then they block my send-transaction and put it on hold for a month - yes, a month (!) my hope was rising again when they asked for instant account reverification. I uploaded all the documents and did a live cam verification. but my crypto assets are still blocked from sending elsewhere. trying right now to sell crypto again and withdraw but app is dead slow on mobile as well as desktop. pages just not loading... so looks like all heavily regulated upto the point of practically unusable.

This company endorses scam crypto they will tell you it's trending and show fake statistics so you invest and then 3 seconds goes by and your crypto assett will go from 1200$ to 0$ in a blink of an eye do not use coinbase I was scammed 3 times for 2400$ and they offered no help whatsoever and took no accountability after endorsing and advertising the scam crypto. They probably are the ones doing it because almost all there crypto is scam crypto so I'm sure they have fingers in the cookie jar somewhere along the line otherwise they would try to stop it from happening or at least offer some sort of help not say oh that's unfortunate better luck next time that's all you'll get from there horrible support my account was also hacked and someone took 320$ in direct deposits from me and they locked me out if my account for a week and then didn't offer any help whatsoever or try to find out who did it Do not use coinbase it is absolutely a scam waiting to happen plus your bank account is not safe if you use their site hackers galore my account was hacked on the first day

I contacted support through live chat and was forwarded to an 'live agent' They respond every 5min with the same copy paste answers "I am really sorry for the trouble you are facing with this issue, And I am here with you and help you with this" Was having issues not receiving the 2fa sms code, did every step i was told and still dont work. And no there is nothing wrong with my operator plan since i called them aswell and even receive sms from other numbers. Support cant remove this 2fa so i tried to revover the account myself by uploading live ID verification, even get the email saying it was successfull but still doesnt work. For a company thats worth billions and cant resolve this little issue is beyond my understanding. When this gets resolved ill withdraw my crypto and delete this app. Maybe get a real human being in your support instead of all these copy paste answers

Do not use this app. They have stolen my money. I was supposed to receive bitcoin, coinbase had me pay all these fees to receive my bitcoin but they still haven’t released it. They won’t contact me back it’s been months now since I’ve been dealing with this.

Doesn't support/accept digital ID for ID-verification, but rely on old-school and insecure physical photo-ID, which can be misused and stolen, and it's really a very bad and uncertain way for ID-verification. I really don't want to sent a copy of my passport to ANYONE. I don't wanna find out in 3 month that someone took a loan in my name or ???, only your fantasy sets the limit. You might say you trust them (which you can't), but even it you could, they can still themselves be compromised by the "Russians" which steal you passport-copy from their server! It happens ALL THE TIME! They can completely steal you identity.....it's just a no-go!

This company could improve its customer help. I HAD HEARD THAT COINBASE WAS A VERY SECURE AND SAFE PLATFORM TO USE. MY EXPERIENCE SHOWS ME THAT THEY TAKE SECURITY TOO FAR. I transferred a sum of 100 dollars to an account that coinbase deemed as unsafe, so it froze my account (supposedly to keep my account secure). I had used this (unsafe) account numerous times before with no problems and actually made money, I notified customer help of this fact but a system decision had been made and could not be revoked. This situation remained for several months and when I wanted clarification nobody would tell what was happening. My experience of Coinbase is that it goes overboard to protect your money so you end up losing money, I estimate because of their incompetence I have lost 2 to 3 hundred dollars all because I could not reinvest any money from Coinbase. MY RECOMMENDATION IS DO NOT USE THEM.
