Originally the time for the live class was changed with only 15 minutes notice. While on the phone with customer service, they originally provided a note that they would not be able to assist me I had to attend the new class. Asking for a refund seemed to be an act of god... But they had Spencer Clifford jump in and give the class last minute and he alone made the class well worth the original trouble I went through... So poor take-off but pretty good landing... I highly recommend you request Spencer Clifford as your instructor.

About 50% of the questions on the test was absolutely not in the online study questions and practice tests. There were a few that weren't even in the books. I failed by one question because I really didn't try on the last 5 or 6 questions because I was sure I had already failed it. I was demoralized by the aforementioned reason.
I’m sorry to hear how frustrating that experience was, especially missing by just one question. One important clarification: our course is designed to align with the state-required topics, but it will not match the exact questions, wording, or answer choices on your exam. The State does not release exam questions to schools or providers, and multiple versions of the exam are in circulation, so no course can ethically promise “the same questions.” Our goal is to help you pass by building your understanding of the material and teaching you how to quickly use your approved textbooks/resources when questions are asked in a new way. It doesn’t appear to be a seriously ran company. Book order was a pile of duplicate, damaged and missing books. Although they did fix it. Customer service for the most part seems annoyed you called and only after several attempts did I get someone who knew what they were doing. Also the quality of some of the recorded lectures is very poor. Overall just not a good experience so far and I spent so much money initially I couldn’t afford to scrap the program and start over with someone new.
I’m sorry for the rough start and the frustration you’ve described. A shipment with duplicate, damaged, and missing books isn’t acceptable, and while we corrected it, we understand that doesn’t make the experience okay. I’m also concerned you felt customer service was annoyed and that it took multiple tries to reach someone knowledgeable, this isn’t the standard we expect. If you’re reading this, I really hope you choose to go with CEI/CTC. I dealt mostly with Theresa McCutcheon, and she was genuinely one of the most kind, courteous, and helpful people I’ve dealt with throughout this whole process. The few times I reached out with questions, she responded quickly, thoughtfully, and with more care than I ever expected. This is not some fake review. I’m a real person on a real journey trying to better myself, and having someone like Theresa actually help and care made a huge difference. I could not be more thankful. I passed both of my exams: Business & Finance and Roofing Trade Knowledge. Both exams had questions that were relevant to the courses provided. One of the biggest things that stood out to me is that this course is actually up to date and kept relevant. That matters more than people realize, because a major issue with a lot of other courses out there is that the material feels old, outdated, or poorly maintained. My books also came in great condition, and the packaging was clearly done with care. Before I purchased, I asked the sales rep if he could send me a screenshot of the course platform because I wanted to make sure it wasn’t cheap or outdated. He didn’t hesitate at all. He sent it over right away, while other companies refused to show me anything, even though we’re talking about a lot of money for something you haven’t even seen yet. The course itself is fantastic. It does not feel cheap. It is well made, organized, and easy to follow. The lessons are audible, there are separate modules for each book, and each module is broken down by chapters so you can follow along and go back when needed. The highlighting is also very thorough, which is exactly what you want. On the exam, every second counts, and you need to be able to find answers quickly. The practice exam is the main reason I would recommend this course without hesitation. It is unlike any other course I looked at, and trust me, I checked. The questions are relevant to the actual exam, and whether you get the answer right or wrong, it gives you the correct answer along with the source reference. It tells you the book, chapter, page, and depending on the question, it also gives the full math breakdown and index reference. I cannot stress enough how important that is. This is the best way to learn the material and learn where to find the answers during the exam. If you’re still reading this, I’ll say it one more time: do yourself the favor and go with CEI/CTC. Choosing them was the best decision I made in this long journey, and I’m truly grateful I did.
