What people say
Poor call quality
The call quality was very bad for us. We had 2 users try the call software for several months and recepients of our calls would constantly complain about now being able to hear us properly (we expereienced the same on our end) and there was always a slight delay in the call. This made it impossible to conduct sales calls to warm leads. When we tried to cancel we were charged another month and dragged along in a support chat so they could keep charging us.

Disastrous onboarding and ghosted when we raised issues
We were initially very excited about the potential Dialpad could offer our business. While the sales process was detailed and thorough, the onboarding experience was the exact opposite. It took weeks just to get basic access to video call functionality. Worse, the connection was so unstable that we had to abandon client calls mid-session and revert to RingCentral to maintain reliability. After attempting to resolve these issues, it became clear we couldn't trust Dialpad without jeopardizing our own customer experience. When we notified them of this, they completely ghosted us—only to resurface later demanding payment for a service they never meaningfully provided. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for your VoIP and video conferencing needs.

Hello Lauren, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are incredibly sorry to hear about your experience with our support team and the frustrating, unexpected deactivations of your account. We want to make this right and get to the bottom of this issue immediately. We have reached out to you directly via Trustpilot to request your contact details so we can locate your account, investigate exactly what happened, and help resolve this for you. Or at the very least, understand what happened.

stop rushing me off the chat and giving paragraphs of scripted answers to specific questions. If there is a link we need to click, tell us how far down on the page that it, or under what heading. Make your billing/pricing easy to find.

I was on a tight budget this month and was not able to pay the renewal on time.. Dialpad understands my situation and let me use it until my money arrives by the end of the month. Highly recommended. I never encounter any technical problems using the app been using it for more than a year now.

Their customer service has been GREATLY communicative, and on top of helping me resolve my issues. El-Roy Bragado was extremely helpful and listened to my concerns, constantly keeping me updated on the progress of my applications and concerns.
Convenient but expensive
Convenient but expensive. Could get more for less with another provider.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY !!!
I attempted Dialpad (formerly openphone) with with an open-mind and good intent. The experience was terrible and they never resolved the issue. 1.) It took my business seven applications to finally get 10 tdlc approved. When approved, it did not affect anything within dialpad. They would not let me send outgoing text messages with the approved line. There was large fonts on keypad page stating "SMS/MMS from unregistered numbers are currently blocked company-wide. Contact your administrator for more information." (I was only allowed to reply to text messages that I already received. I had to goto the thread, then reply. The business could not send the first text- even to a contact.) 2.) For a period of over six-months, I contacted a couple people at dialpad about the issue. In my internal settings next to the number, there was a note stating "Null." I questioned AI about the note, and it stated that the internal settings of the phone provider were off. When I mentioned this to dialpad, they removed the note- but never fixed the issue. 3.) They never once offered a phone number to try to resolve the issue. (This was only exposed on the cancellation page.) 4.) When submitting a support ticket, there is a form with drop-down questions. When asking about the topic in issue, "text" is not even worthy enough to be an option. 5.) Same form, they ask "How critical is the issue?" Only two options "Low business impact," and "not significant business impact." That is how little that they think of their clients- their issues are not of high-importance. 6.) Their idea of customer service is to ask the client questions. They get an "A" for curiosity. Yet, they never resolve anything. 7.) Their focus is on nice colors and trying to impress with their website. Yet, the interface is obsolete- not altering the frame-work when they added new features, it is very difficult to find or reach anything- often a rabbit-hole of menus. Instead of resolving the core issue, they created a "Dialpad University" consisting of many videos. Business owners, unless you're willing to go back to college to get a "Dialpad Diploma", don't waste your time nor money with these guys !!!

Dialpad is a great tool to have
Dialpad is a great tool to have. I can manage my business and personal using 1 phone. Any issues they assist you immediately. HIGHLY recommend.
long-term contract (5 years) avoid Dialpad
Be very careful when you sign a contract with Dialpad. I didn't realize I was getting locked into a 5-year term, and they never even emailed me a copy of the signed contract afterward. To make things worse, my customer success specialist completely stopped responding to my emails. I’ve already stopped using the app entirely. It has a steep learning curve, the setup is way too difficult to figure out, and the sound quality constantly breaks up during calls. On top of that, the call recording reminder sounds completely robotic, and you have to be really careful using the app on your cell phone because it can accidentally trigger call recording through your regular mobile carrier. Trying to get ahold of their sales team to reach a settlement and cancel this contract has been a nightmare. The contract lengths are way too long and their customer service is terrible. I definitely do not recommend Dialpad.
User friendly and excellent quality.
