I am a member with ebay for the past 6 years. I am a general seller and sell often (weekly) and i am currently experiencing a medical emergency I am struggling at the moment on money and have requested through ebay that they send me my finds quicker for this one transaction. They constantly told me it will be in in 6 hours than it went to 3 hours than 1 hour than is somehow magically jumped back up to 24 hours, i am constantly told it will be in today and its passed every hour theyve said the money will be in. I got in contact again they told me to call my bank because they have sent it and my bank just needs to clear it. I contacted my bank and they said their is no transaction from ebay even after providing the transaction number. Got back into contact with ebay and they said theres nothing they could do to help and i will simply have to wait another 24 hours after 4 days and constantly being told it will be in every day. Genuinly not happy with ebay and would not trust them to be able to help you with your funds during a medical emergency or any other emergancys
Scamed by vintage sellers. False advertising. Spent 22.48 on advertised 32 bars of soap. Received 8 bars. Refunded 11.38.
Seller beware when using eBay. Decided to sell a few items and everything went well until one buyer decided to return an item because she said the item she received did not match what was in the pictures. The item I was selling was a women's bag and was unopened in the manufacturer sealed plastic. I talked to at least 10 eBay customer service Representatives about this. They told me my next steps and what I should do, I made notes and everything was okay. Later when another eBay customer service agent and their supervisor told me that the previous agents gave me incorrect information. Per eBay policy there was nothing they could do and they would not stand behind what the other agents told me even though it was noted in the notes. They told me I had to give the seller a return shipping label but I would be reimbursed for it. Did that receive the item back? Contacted eBay again. Filed a claim against the buyer because the item was exactly as described. EBay then investigated and ruled on my favor that the buyer was misusing the policy. EBay gave me all of my money and everything was taken care of to the best of my knowledge. 2 weeks later eBay lets me know they're going to be charging my bank account for that return label. I again contact eBay customer service. Talked to several more representatives who finally tell me that I'm on the hook for that shipping label even though eBay ruled in my favor and the buyer was penalized and I was given incorrect information. The person that I talked to with eBay customer service was a supervisor and was more concerned about telling me her qualifications and job title as well as pointing me to the pages on the eBay website to say that she was correct then standing behind the words of the customer service representatives. In the past. She told me the only option I had was to dispute the transaction after they took it out of my bank account. Fast forward 2 weeks I dispute the transaction and eBay credits the money back to my checking account. Everything is okay until a week later eBay emails me and tells me that my account is in the negative and they will not close my eBay account because I owe them money. Talked to several more customer service representatives and finally get to the last one who's a supervisor and tells me that she can do absolutely nothing. I owe the money. Why in the world would they credit me back after I disputed it only to come back a week later and tell me I owe the money again. You cannot reach a higher level of eBay customer service and they really do not care. They are a large company that basically has no problem screwing over people because they're the big company and they don't care. You're better off to use Facebook Marketplace because eBay can't be trusted
I was charged around a thousand dollars for four different items that I never received said it was shipped and delivered never received anything but a note on that I never even purchased anything LOL and they charged my car and I fought it and told them it wasn't me and they said no sorry you're gonna pay screw you eBay
⭐️ An astonishing lack of transparency My eBay account was permanently suspended without any clear explanation of what I allegedly did wrong. I contacted customer service specifically asking what policy I violated and what activity triggered the suspension. Instead of providing a concrete answer, I received vague references to “risk” and policy, followed by a final decision that apparently cannot be appealed. What makes this particularly baffling is that I have never even sold an item on eBay. My Seller Dashboard literally says, “Sell your first item on eBay.” I fully understand that a private platform has the right to enforce its policies and protect its community. What I do not understand is permanently penalizing a customer while refusing to identify the conduct that supposedly justified the penalty. If a company is confident enough in its decision to permanently suspend someone, it should be confident enough to explain why. I’m not asking eBay to reconsider my account anymore. At this point, I simply wouldn’t feel comfortable doing business with a platform where an account can be permanently restricted and the customer is denied a meaningful explanation. A remarkably poor experience, made worse not by the suspension itself, but by the complete lack of transparency surrounding it.
I would give lower than 1 if I could. Terrible experience, impossible to communicate with customer service and if you do actually get your products by some miracle, then expect the return to be declined if any issues arise. BUYER BE WARNED!
The site became so heavy it takes ages just to load!
Just another large company that's not interested if you make a complaint and will do its utmost to fob you off. Parcel went missing ( possible scam) but werent interested probably because they get so many and they employ a couple of people to handle complaints . Like all tech , great when it works, nightmare if there's a problem.
This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with an online marketplace. My seller account with 100% positive feedback was suddenly suspended without warning or any meaningful explanation. Months of work creating listings manually disappeared overnight. I have received no real response from support—only automated systems that provide no answers. To make matters worse, my pending funds are inaccessible while I still have no explanation about what is happening. As a seller, it feels like I’ve been completely abandoned by the platform. The lack of transparency, the lack of human support, and the complete silence from eBay are unacceptable. A company should never treat honest sellers this way. I cannot recommend this platform to anyone.
I’m trying to close my account as it was suspended on initially opening, eBay have charged an insertion fee (even though my account has never been active) and refuse to close the account.
My funds have been on hold for 3 months and they cannot tell me why and wont release my money, ive also been charged 70% fees on all my items. Just cancelled my business account and gradually deleting my listings.
I have purchased a 10L portable air cooler for £49.99 via Ebay Order number: 27-14845-54495. When I received the package, the seller sent me a small fan, which is not as described in the product catalogue. I raised a return request but seller not shared any return label till date, but ebay stating i need to return back the product by 12th of August. Ebay system is more complicated to report and not friendly, there is no way i can communaite to them directly. I wont use Ebay any longer.
When eBay married USPS it was joining two falling organizations to self destruct and spiral out of control to the mucky bottom pit. Neither have customer service nor do they want it. Both were outstanding and then POOF WOKE
I've been selling and shopping on Ebay for little over 6 years. Yes I've delt with there fees and taxing. However all of a sudden I have payouts on hold. First representatives told me it was a bank verification problem. So I get in touch with my bank which informed me they haven't been asked for any sort of bank account verification. I contact Ebay again and now they changed there story to the recipient has received there product. Two story's why my funds are on hold. For one I never have had to wait for a buyer to receive there product (in six years), and two why am I getting two separate customer service agents telling me two different reasons. Very disappointing, I'm taking myseld and my followers to a better app.
Looks like bidding on rare collectables is a thing of the past. An Ooshie sitting on over $100000000, and obviously clowns have trashed this sale and eBay probably couldn't care less. Try not to complain though. Head office will send you cockroaches in the mail. No stars. Again.
It's not that eBay customer service is bad, it's more that eBay has NO customer service. You will just get stuck talking with AI bots who will put you in an infinite loop of frustration. If you do actually get to talk to a human, they will find a way to ignore or misunderstand your request, then close the chat and you have to start all over again. It's really really bad.
I bought an iPhone from an eBay seller that was sold as new but was actually activated by Apple a number of years before. I contacted the Seller - Worldsmartfone - who stalled and did nothing. I contacted eBay. As I did not realize this until I was out of eBay's normal returns timeline, their front-line support refused to help and there was no process in which they simply passed the issue "upstairs". I have spent 3 weeks trying to reach a level of eBay support that could deal with the exceptional circumstance the timeline caused, even though it is fraud and a breach of Australian Consumer Law. I could not get past their AI assistant and repeated complaints were simply met with a "do not reply" eBay message saying they would look into it. I have emailed eBay and have received no response. I sent a registered letter to eBay outlining my concerns. It has been 10 days since I posted that & delivery has been redirected & I await confirmation of delivery. Worldsmartfone has committed the fraud BUT EBAY HAS SHOWN NO INTEREST OR PROCESS WHEREBY THIS MATTER CAN BE RESOLVED. This is a strong warning that eBay cannot be relied upon for protection, despite what they say..
Advertised with “all fees included”, but got an extra expensive invoice from UPS, site is simply not trustworthy. I was actually impressed with their apparent ability to include all into the advertised price, but it was incorrect.
EBAY 17 YEARS ON TIME SAVING TIME AND MONEY. PAYPAL IS MY BACK UP! EBAY IS NO LONGER TAKING RESPONSABILITY FOR PROBLEMS LIKE CANCELATION. EBAY HAD THEIR AI CANCEL MY ORDER AS REQUESTED WITH IN AN HOUR. LO - VENDER WAS CONFUSED WHEN I CALLED. HE DID CANCEL MY ORDER WITH NO PROBLEM. I DID HAVE TO FIGHT WITH EMAIL PROOF AND MY VEDOR LETTER TO EBAY. MY CREDIT CARD, PAYPAL ARE THE ONES THAT HELPED ME *NOT EBAY THEIR POLICY IS ALL AUTOMATION AI. BE PREPARED IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG WITH YOUR ORDER?
