Ebay is great for buyers but really bad…
Ebay is great for buyers but really bad for private sellers.
I sold some brand new action figures which has a commission at 13,6% to ebay, after that they add another fee for international purchase and on top of that they add VAT to both these numbers which adds up to a total of 23% going straight into their pockets.
This was my total profit completely wiped out. I questioned them about the VAT since I've already had paid it once for the goods and in Sweden you can run a hobby operation for up to 12 000 USD/year without having to pay any taxes on the earnings and they told me to contact a local law firm. They also added that if I would run a proper business I wouldn't have to pay their VAT.
This is a manipulated market because now people know that they charge these ridiculous amounts so they have to raise the prices even more just to make any profit.
Their customer support is bad and I mean really bad.

By far the worst place to sell only…
By far the worst place to sell only helped by the fact eBay has the largest audience. As a seller, I cannot stand their policies, I can't sell an Xbox because other sellers will report it and remove it so they have no competition. The fees are expensive, the shipping is expensive and the algorithm seems to work with you sometimes and against you on others.
Do NOT rely on eBay for an income because there will come a time they screw you too. I was selling regularly for a year with no issues, now I keep dealing with listings being removed despite NOTHING in violation, their AI doesn't care. If I could give them -1 star I would.
Customer service is dog water and they will always side with the buyer even when you're blatantly scammed.

The Ebay seller( XHDATA) refused to deliver and refund my order, after charging me $18, they than started sending me email messages stating that they had the wrong address , a common scam sellers use to steal customers money.
..And of course , because of this scam I could not obtain a refund.
Ebay covered up for the seller of course!
I quickly filed a credit card dispute with my bank and they helped me get my money back, but I want people to know that Ebay removed my review of the seller immediately for the cover up!
I would stay away from buying From Xhdata, and always know that Ebay conspires with seller scams all the time.

Listed my item on Ebay. Next day I received a msg that they will withdraw funds from my bank account for writing a subtitle! No warning. No indication there was a fee attached. Deleted the sale. Still got the bill! ALSO...their 'fee free' new system...automatically added + $9.00 to my sale price for 'buyer protection'. That is not fee free. Maybe my buyer doesn't want protection!?1? Sneaky Ebay smoke and mirrors!!!!
I order a product from eBay. I keep getting emails from eBay that the order is being delivered. The next day I get another email from eBay saying the shipper couldn't deliver the product. After several emails like this I tried to contact a live person to resolve this problem but there is no way to talk to a live person at eBay. I will never do business with eBay again. This is the second time they have screwed up a parts order, I would recommend Amazon the right part on time and they even care enough to use your current address eBay needs told several times that people do move and report addresses changes,does eBay listen??, absolutely positively,NO!

Ebay refuses to stop sellers who misrepresent items
After having been a customer for 30 years, buying and selling thousands of dollars worth of product over that period, I finally had enough after multiple poor customer service experiences, ranging from reporting another seller advertising a vintage tin toy car that used photos of my toy car on my personal web site to having customer service refuse to do anything about a seller who misrepresented an item for sale. Ebay did not do the right thing in ANY instance, so I'm out. Not going to conduct business with a company that allows that type of activity on their site.
Please don't use GLS to deliver. There are problems every time it's them. I ordered for delivery to my address but the driver doesn't bother to get in the car for the package because it's much easier for him to deliver all the packages to the parcel shop. I have provided the door code so the driver can enter the entrance. I'm in a wheelchair and can't pick up.

Wish you could give no stars I am a seller on the platform and had a dispute with a buyer that they had no interest in, don’t care don’t interact and just give repetitive can’t be arsed responses and could not care less about the people using there site. Happy to take your money but no customer service what so ever I am moving my stuff to Amazon and I hope loads follow me. Useless company waste of time do not trade on their site

Terrible experience getting sales tax refund
Confirmed with their support prior to ordering that I would be entitled to sales tax refund (re-export). After ordering, it has been absolute hell getting that refund. Constantly having to upload documents with minor adjustments, they nitpick small details, send requests from no-reply email addresses, etc. I feel duped.

eBay uses AI now to review counterfeit submissions. And, of course, AI determines request is invalid (so they can keep selling and making commissions!).
Beware of counterfeit Lululemon jackets with good make and ok fabric but NOT Lulu.
Beware !!!! Bought a pool for 400 dollars it broke in 3 days ! Wasn't covered by warranty because of buying it from a 3rd party. So pissed. Done done done with eBay

Counterfeit silver coins
I ordered quite a few silver coins off of Ebay during the past six weeks. An inordinate number of them turned out to be counterfeits. Ebay supposedly has procedures to deal with such, but it is often obscure and difficult to follow through. Buy from a reputable source. I certainly cannot recommend Ebay!

Selling on ebay is a absolute joke
Selling on ebay is a absolute joke, the customer service agent will advise yiu to do the wrong thing more then the right. They even stated they would refund me for their issues and misguidance. Then I get a email that say basically we dont care what we said and no refund. When we are talking $800+ thats crap. Delete thay app whole you can. They take about 1/3 of your sales and call it fair.
