Disgusting support. Holding a 2019 account hostage over a dead phone number.
I have had my eBay account since 2019 with a flawless record. It was suddenly suspended, and because the registered phone number is permanently closed, I am completely locked out.
I spent 30 minutes on the phone trying to cooperate, explicitly offering to upload my passport or driver's license to prove my identity. Frontline agents flat-out refused, told me nothing could be done, and threatened to ban any new accounts I create.
To top it off, the agent gave a scripted "have a nice day, your account is suspended" and hung up in my face while I was still speaking.
Total power trip and anti-consumer behavior. They are holding my data and 6 years of history hostage because their systems are too rigid to handle a simple verification override. I have escalated this directly to the CEO executive team and consumer rights bodies. Utter disgrace.

Started buying from Ebay in 2002... Purchased so much. However had to stop as China sellers claiming to be USA. They are ripoing off customers in US ...shipping manipulation... They will send to your zip code BUT NOT TO YOUR ADDRESS. They use "dropshipping." You dont get a package. & they are backed by UPS. EBAY NO longer backs the Customer. Forget ebay... Dont want to be stolen from again

Selling on ebay is a complete joke. We've been selling for almost a month and haven't seen a dime yet. We also have no idea how much we're actually going to receive or when we'll receive it. They structure everything to favor the buyers and make selling super complicated. They take way too much in fees especially since they won't pay up. We instantly met the criteria to receive money immediately and it takes months for them to recognize it. I honestly don't know how anyone makes money on their platform. You pretty much need to list your items much higher to account for their ridiculous fees. That is if you can even sell it for a fraction of what others have the same or similar items listed at. Overall ebay is a joke and I wish I would've have even started selling on there
A seller by the name of “tuba06” scammed me. He promotes himself as a legit eBay seller, but he is not. I put a complain in eBay and I wrote a review so other people don’t get scammed, but nothing happened and tuba06 eraised my review . That’s already a scam. This scammer tells you your item has been shipped and he provides you a fake DHL without your address and tells you the item has been delivered . He even makes a fake name “Jose” for the delivery recipient . The package is never delivered and you loose your money

garbage. 72 hour payment holds after buyer received the item, allowing them time to damage the item and then send it back. There was a "technical glitch" stopping me getting my funds but no doubt they received their AD costs! last time ill be using Ebay for absolutely anything. Poor excuse. no compensation offered. I sold an item 8 days ago and still haven't received the money.

I have been an eBay customer since 2013. Now I decided to close my ebay account and NEVER buy anything from there ever again! Recently I had an issue with a seller, because they failed to send my parcel as an IOSS delivery. Because of this, I had to pay double VAT taxes. The seller won't admit any mistake, so I had to ask eBay customer service to step in. They have made it impossibly difficult to receive a refund. I sent them all the proof they asked for and more. Yet still, they don't do anything and just prolong the matter. I'm absolutely fed up at this point. I have multiple illnesses and am already exhausted about everything and dealing with eBay "customer service" has made me even more exhausted and hopeless. I really wish I can finally get my refund soon and then leave eBay for forever. Never buying ANYTHING from there ever again. Also, please beware seller neriken178. I have never had this bad experience with a seller until now.
eBay customer service is TERRIBLE! They will not take your phone calls or chat with you. I got absolutely scammed by a buyer, and this is the third time I’ve been scammed by them (I keep blocking them but they make new accounts!). eBay does nothing to help and always takes the buyers side! They destroyed the item I sold them, returned it against my will, and then my funds were removed.

I was once a big supporter of ebay's , bought everything there, now I would urge every one to avoid ebay completely, they support their sellers so much, that the numerous scammers on there, can take your money, never send anything but a scam tracking number, and ebay will take their side, your out your money and time dealing with them. ebay should be given negative stars.

Another Scummy Online Retailer
I have been an ebay buyer and seller for over 20 years. I started my account with them back in 2005. In the past several years and recently I tried to sell an item on ebay. Despite the item being sold the buyer decided to refund thier purchase within the window. After me and the buyer communicated the reason why, Ebay hits me with a $550 selling fee. I contacted Ebay and explained it was a legit sale and the buyer wanted a refund ...legally I had to refund the buyer and cancel the sale , but Ebay refused to drop the selling fees and now Ebay has sent my account to collections. So I told them I wanted to close my Ebay account permanently. I contacted Ebay customer service and they refused to drop the selling fees, Despite me issuing a refund to the buyer to cancel there purchase. So now I have a Ebay account sitting in Limbo with a ridiculous balance I owe.

More Fraud from EBAY
After four years buying items on eBay, I just got completely ripped off by a sleazy seller and fraudulent tactics that were used by eBay.
I am fighting to get my money back but am unsure what will happen. I guess it can be tempting going on eBay as in the past I have found difficult to find items. But I have learned the hard way that they are just another greedy unethical “company”.
I have been an Ebay user for nearly 18 years and until now, I had found them to be helpful. I purchased an aftermarket charging case for my earbud. I plugged the case in to charge with the lead supplied in the same previously used. When I came back came back the earbuds had started to melt and the left bud no longer work, so, I contacted the seller who asked for them back to check them. The next thing that happened was I had the refund for the case but no compensation. I contacted the seller who refused to help. I contacted Ebay and they couldn't orwouldn't help me. So I am down a few hundred pounds down with no sympathy and no earbuds
I purchased tea candles from an eBay seller, 'ShopYourDiscountStore'. They sent me a shipment notice, but the item never arrived. I opened a request with eBay for either the item or a refund. The merchant replied that checking the delivery wasn't their responsibility and said they would assist only if I closed the case. When I tried contacting eBay, the automated system stated I needed to wait for the merchant. Eventually, they closed the case after 21 days had passed. I've decided to stop using eBay because If they don't protect buyers, let them have a big team with fraudulent sellers.

I never received an item that was marked "delivered" and I know it wasn't really delivered to my address because there were other packages from USPS delivered to my apartment building that day. Lost money. Never purchasing from this website again. Stay away.
