Stunning lessons there are about myopia but its hard to understand for those didn't have english as main language. It teaches a lot about the "illness" they say.i find this site is awesome but because i didn't do the practice to reverse my myopia i can't give it a 5 stars and say its salvation for the myopics.
Endmyopia is one of the very rare valuable resources on vision improvement. Most optometrists will tell you that your eyes can only get worse, and once you start finding out that it's actually possible to reverse myopia, you'll probably end up with methods that are not backed by science (or any logic, for that matter). Endmyopia is different: it's a no-nonsense approach where they encourage you to get informed and actually use your brains.
And by "they", I mean "he". Yes, the whole thing is run by one person (Jake Steiner), and that might put off some newcomers. Not only because it might be difficult to trust one person with unconventional ideas, but also because he has a quite peculiar way of designing and wording the things on his website. I mean, seriously, who expects a large picture with the text "HOLY GURU FACE" on it? (Or whatever he has decided to show on his homepage right now.)
With that said, I'd suggest you go over this hurdle and actually read some of the articles that provide information about things such as "active focus" (all for free). It all makes sense, and it helped me to do the right thing when it comes to my vision improvement journey. So far, I've gone from -4 to -3 in both eyes and hope to improve even further.
Full disclosure: I got asked to write this review to get access to a private Endmyopia forum.
Endmyopia gives hope to those who want to improve eyesight naturally
Endmyopia is the first place I'd ever found online that offers a plausible way to improve your eyesight naturally. I'd been wondering for years why my eyesight was deteriorating and prescriptions increasing. I'd also sub-consciously questioned why I needed glasses at -4.5 for close up and long distance vision. Reading stuff on my phone and working on a computer 8 hours or so a day with the same glasses as playing outdoor games like football never made sense on some level, but I didn't know any other way. Endmyopia answered these concerns with practical advice, like wearing different strength lenses for near and far activities and measuring your diopters, along with active focus and making more time for outdoor vision, and not throwing on those glasses first thing in the morning. I guess incorporating tips from the YouTube videos and website blogs into daily life becomes a habit. I'm glad I came across this and few years back. Still a long road but it's about moving in the right direction. Jake's method gives hope and a way for others who don't want to be a slave to their glasses or contacts and dream of better eyesight naturally.
THIS REALLY WORKS!!!
I have been doing this program for almost a year. I started out with -1.75 in one eye and -2.5 in the other eye. I recently took off my glasses for good. I'm not back to 20/20 yet, but I have seen huge improvements and I am confident that I will get there within the next year. This really does work if you are determined and persistent. Yes, it is a lot of reading if you choose to use only the blog, but it is a small price to pay to get back the clarity of vision that your eyes are capable of.
Easy, no nonsense approach to 20/20, glasses free:)
I found Jake's site last year, I was skeptical until I began reading his blog. If you're tired of wearing glasses, read his blog and watch his YouTube videos. On my own personal journey I'm on my third pair of reduced lenses, Jake offers so much helpful, no nonesense info for free on his blog and YouTube channel. I can say from experience so far that this works and I'm on my way to 20/20 without glasses thanks to Jake!:)
Jake's method is well-researched and backed up by solid science (citations included). All of the information is free on the blog and YouTube channel, but it is up to you to follow it and apply it in your own life. This is not an easy fix for your eyesight (but a permanent one if you apply yourself).
It is *not* easy, but it's no-bs. If you need help, there are several community destinations to discuss and ask questions. Jake is very responsive to emails, I have been impressed with his personal touch and willingness to reach out even to his free members. I think he actually cares, which is more than I can say for the eyeglass industry.
I discovered Endmyopia towards the end of 2017. After 30 years of wearing corrective lenses (prescription -3.0 D, L&R) I was very excited to learn that my eyes were 'not broken' and could be retrained to see clearly. I took time to understand the theory and then began following Jake's advice including:
-Reducing close-up activity time, particularly screen time.
-Reading close-up without glasses/contacts.
-Reading at the 'edge-of-blur'.
-Taking frequent breaks when reading/working at computer.
-Buying online (5 months ago) a pair of 'differential' glasses (-1.50 D,
L&R) for computer work.
-Buying (a month later) a pair of 'normalised' glasses (-2.75 D, L&R)
for distance vision.
-Putting up 3 Eye charts on different walls inside the house and one
laminated Eye chart outside. I use these to practise 'active focus' and test
the progress of my eyes.
-Forming new lifestyle habits including: increased time outdoors;
conscious focusing on distant objects; 'active-focusing' on signs,
number plates and other objects at the 'blur horizon' when out walking or
driving; increased engagement with real life people and events (and
future dangerous adventures according to latest Eye Guru directives).
Wearing my current 'normalised' glasses and actively focusing (i.e. the blink-and-hold kind of 'active focus'), I can see the Eye chart 20/20 line clearly. And in my daily 10-minutes-studying-the-Eye-Chart sessions (basically just staring at the letters and allowing my eyes to do all the focusing) I experience distinct 'double vision'. I'll be ordering my next 'normalised' (-2.50 D, L&R) this week.
So my eyesight has already improved and is on the road to 20/20. Thanks Jake!
I have never come across anything like this! I really appreciate the upfront truth and fearlessness of exposing what’s really going on! This opened my eyes (no pun) to seeing that my eyes were not broken and actually how to heal them. I’m on this journey and it’s worth it! (Maybe a little less swearing here and there😉) but other than that....thank you Jake for your hard work! It’s helping thousands to see again.
In all honesty, I'm truly grateful that I came across the platform that alleviates people of the burden of having to buy and wear glasses for a lifetime.
I come across Endmypoia after reading a book about recovering eyesight. I have to say the information makes a lot of sense to me. I have start practicing yet because of my heavy duty work, but I am working out a routine to practice now.
It hasn't been long since I found out about Endmyopia so I'm still a newbie to this but I've been doing all the research on the blog and going through the youtube videos. I've been applying few methods like active focus, differential glasses and I can already feel the difference in my vision. I can really tell that my vision is improving. Wish I had known about this a little sooner but no worries, I'm happy I found this.
Two years ago the eye doctor prescribed me a -7 and told me there is nothing I can do to stop myopia progressing. I refused to agree that my myopia will grow worse and worse all my life.
I tried several things , Bates method as well. I didn't improve much but didn't regress as well!
All the eye doctors says "it's dangerous to Not wear glasses" IT'S FALSE.
Today, two years later, I have a -6. That proves at least that It was right to not wear the -7 prescription and to keep searching for an alternative solution.
Recently I discovered endmyopia and Jake's explanations. It seems to me the right way to follow.
Yay for DIY vision improvement ... but where's the video captions?
I really LOVE seeing my prescription numbers getting smaller, rather than larger, as time goes on! (Was -8 and -5 in 2015, -5.5 and -3 as of 2018.) And Jake's online calculator makes it very easy to keep tabs on how my eyes are doing. Not depending on the optometrist for that -- fantastic!
Not so fantastic is the lack of captions on Jake's videos, hence the 4-star, rather than 5-star rating.
Hey Jake, pretty please, would you consider putting up some transcripts of what you're saying on those videos, if captions aren't possible? Deaf people go for vision therapy, too!
I've worn glasses since I was in 6th grade and contacts since first year of college. I was happy. But after turning 40, while wearing my contacts I had trouble reading. I had no problem at all reading without my contacts in. To get my bi-focal contacts I had to drop my distance vision to barely be able to read too (just cause the way they are made, they could not be zero on the bottom). So here I am wearing bi-focal contacts, not being able to see clearly distance or reading AND I had to wear reading glasses to be able to read. I thought "This is nuts, enough!" and I found Jake's YouTube videos. I've just started my journey, but I'm grateful for opportunity to toss all my vision apparatuses (apparati ?) in the trash!
At the start of the 6th grade, my eyesight was 20/15. By the end of that year it was 20/60 and I had a prescription for glasses. By the time I was in college (USAFA), I was 20/200 and had a -2.75 prescription in both eyes. At that time, cadets with marginal vision would get prescription contacts to attempt to improve eyesight by reshaping their eyeballs enough to qualify for pilot training. I was too far gone. As time went on, my vision continued to deteriorate to about -3.25, but even with that, I had lost crystal clear vision, likely due to cataracts or some such (I'm in my late 60s now).
I found Jake and started applying his principles. It has been about a year, and I have improved! Currently, I am seeing better with a -1.75 prescription than I had 2 years ago with -3.25. With no glasses, I can read the 20/40 line, with some concentration. The clarity comes and goes, but things are going well. Occasionally, I get flashes of visual clarity, that I hope will be my future reality.
With my eye sights slowly deteriorate over the years of glasses wearing, I have always thought that there is issue with my eyes and I am hopelessly walk on the path towards blindness. Until I came across Jake's Youtube channel and started to learn about EndMyopia. From reading the information and stories of people's eyesight recovery, it has absolutely given me hope to a better eye sight and regain faith that my eyes are actually healthy.
I encourage whoever felt the same way as I did to come and check out what Jake has got to say.
The seven day email really does have all the information that you need. It isn't an automatic solution, it takes work. What doesn't take work is getting stronger prescriptions. But if that's what you wanted, you wouldn't be looking here. The reason not five stars is that the site is a bit cryptic and confusing - more like a pile of note cards strewn about containing all the text of the Illiad - but it's all there if you pull it together.
Life got in the way of finishing the program, but I learned a lot and plan to restart once my situation stabilizes. Jake's videos are fun and informative, it's clear he has put a lot of research into his work. Hope to begin again around end of September 2018, with results before my next glasses are due. :')
