⭐ 1 Star My experience with Exeter Finance and the handling of my 2018 Jeep Renegade during the repossession process has been unsatisfactory. My vehicle was repossessed on May 2, 2026. When I recovered it on May 14, I identified multiple issues that were not present prior to repossession, including electrical malfunctions, nonfunctioning windows, a rear hatch that would not open, and dashboard electrical issues. I also observed that the carpet/RFM area had been pulled up, the headliner/ceiling had been lowered, and my spare tire and spare tire kit were missing. I additionally have concerns that the battery may have been replaced, which is currently being independently evaluated. I have contacted the parties involved and submitted supporting documentation and photographs of the vehicle’s condition. To date, I have not received a substantive response or a documented investigation. My inquiries have been redirected between multiple parties without resolution, and I have not received the callbacks that were promised. I have specifically requested repossession and tow documentation, including the condition report at pickup, photographs, an inventory of the vehicle and its contents, and any records detailing items present at the time of repossession. These records have not been provided. My concern is not limited to the repossession itself, but the lack of documentation and accountability regarding the condition and contents of the vehicle while it was in custody. As a result of the condition of the vehicle, I am currently unable to legally or safely drive it. This situation has caused significant emotional distress, including severe anxiety, as well as physical and mental strain due to the ongoing lack of resolution and the impact on my daily life. I have maintained detailed records and continue to request formal responses and the documentation outlined above. At this time, the primary issue remains the absence of communication, transparency, and a completed investigation.
