It picked up an expense that did not exist. It's mixing up my bills with my daughter's because our accounts are connected. It doesn't allow me to edit much. Editing is needed. Also, I pay rent via Venmo.

Hi there. Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, for that reason, a join account does not qualify to be activated in Experian Boost® , since it cannot be connected by 2 customers at the same time or the invoices are usually combined, so the information is not accurate. -Karen
Experian is a scam, who just wants to steal all your money. They will not let me access my direct deposit funds unless its with their debit card. The have major limitations and their credit numbers aren't even correct. Their support team will throw you around and around in circles but can't actually help you with anything

Experian Boost-- a boost to their profits at your expense. (avoid..unless you have more money than sense)
The AI/Algorithm that is used is flakier than a box of Kelloggs. Nothing on my side has changed, but I get notices from the Experian system saying they don't see, are dropping, or flat out misread, the data from my bank. These are automatically scheduled payments that have held for years (Utility, Insurance, and Car Loan stuff). Instead of actually being able to get hold of a someone to get help, Experian uses an AI to -tell- you what your problem is and how to solve it (not even close on both accounts...and I've tried). If you disconnect your Boost, your credit score will be negatively affected by 30points-- IMMEDIATELY-- Nothing changes other that you're not sharing unrelated details...just WHAM you're a credit risk.
I"m seriously considering dropping this whole service as I'm not able to see where there's any benefit other than paying to have insurance people contact me, mortgage scammers out the wazoo, and messages for auto-finance refinancing, every time I log into the system.
If Experian can prove that it's worth $300 a year, I might reconsider. But as of late July 2026, this is an epic waste of money for very very very little in return.

Hi Chris. Thank you for the feedback. We’re sorry that we didn't meet your expectations and understand that you were hoping for a different result with Experian Boost®. However, it is not a guarantee that your score will go up. Each person who uses Experian Boost® will have a different result. Some people see a big boost and some do not see a boost at all. Remember that you do not pay for Boost. This product is an added benefit for our free and paid members.
Here are some of the reasons why qualifying accounts may not be found:
•Accounts are paid by non-electronic means such as cash, check, or money order.
•The utility or telecom payee name may not be recognized at this time.
•There is not enough recent/recurring payment history for qualifying accounts. Experian Boost currently requires at least 3 recent payments.
•Do you make the payments each month without skipping a calendar month? For example, if you pay a utility bill quarterly (2 payments in 6 months) that account will not be recognized.
•The bank does not give access to enough account history
•Some municipalities do not differentiate between utility payments, parking tickets, or court fees, only identifying the payee by municipality name (e.g., “Anytown fees”). Thanks. -Karen
Wanted to add bankcard to Boost. Having trouble getting it on, called agent, told me to try online, doing that, cant log on, cant get any help. Also, trying to find out specifically why I lose points on score, all I get is a round around. Not happy paying for this monthly. I am going to cancel it, its useless to me like this

Boost didn’t propagate to Fico. My credit card already rated me as an exceptional borrower. Logging into Experian and using boost only brought my score in line with what it was before. Basically making it a waste of time.

Experian Boost® doesn't lower your score; that is, it's due to a change in the information in your report, not Experian Boost® itself. However, you can remove it completely if you wish. -Karen
The process was simple and easy to understand. The service was fast and professional Thank you!

Experian locks it down like they say they will. No need to second guess if it's being done. They keep you informed on any activity.

It was easy to add my monthly streaming and telephone payments for a 16 point rise in my credit score.

Experian was helpful in putting a freeze on account because my federal agency compromise told us we had been exposed.
I could use less emails from them. I don't need, want, or asked for loan information. There is an email every day and that's overkill.

My experience is good so far. I just don't understand why there has to be 8 to 10 different FICO scores. Either your score is good or not so good. All the same stuff on your credit are looked at but you give me a different FICO score. Good way to confuse the general public. I like the boosts experian gives.

Hi Joseph. Thanks for the review. I understand this can be confusing and I'll try to clear everything up. To start, each business generates its own scoring model based on their business needs. An auto dealership might generate a score solely based on your leasing history, whereas a mortgage lender may generate a score focusing on your mortgage payments. This means that your score can be different depending on the business you go to. Your score will very rarely be the same at two different places. Thanks. -Karen
Worst expereince I have ever had with a company. You can't talk with a live person, their chat bot is useless. The infomation on the site is not always correct. They have zero customer service.

I only added my phone & electric bills and my score went up just under 50 points instantly! You do have to give Experian permission to use a 3rd party, but it all happens in less than 5 minutes, at least from my experience. So yes, it's a very helpful tool to boost your rating! Thanks Experian!

Experian was the most difficult of my three credit reporting companies to deal with. I could not access it by line and I struggled to connect by phone. Transunion and Equifax were readily reachable by phone. Online, Experian did not recognize my phone number and I could not get a verification code because of that. My realtor told me many people are frustrated with Experian. You can do better, Experian!!!

I have had my credit reports frozen for multiple data breaches
I have had my credit reports frozen for a number of years to help protect my information from data breaches. It is very easy to access the information I need and/or to unfreeze and then refreeze my account as needed for loan or credit card needs.

When someone called me, claiming to be from Experian, I questioned it. The caller had a heavy Indian accent and wanted to clear a proposed credit card app from a fraud-ridden state. They transferred me to Jeremy Osborn who proceeded to try to get $4500 from me to cover interest payment costs for life on a Visa/Mastercard that had 0% APR. I was suspicious when he hard sold me and there was too much background noise. I have been swamped with calls since I declined the offer. I sm thrilled to have my accounts frozen now.
