Delivering only 1 foot is a material breach of contract. Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices: Under Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Act and California state-level consumer protection laws (often called UDAP laws), merchants are prohibited from engaging in false advertising, bait-and-switch tactics, or deceptive descriptions: Post-sale price correction: The fact that FinditParts raised the price after I called while leaving the specification wording identical confirms that the specification itself was intended to read "25 feet"—FinditParts simply underpriced it. Sellers generally bear the risk of their own pricing mistakes once an order has been fulfilled.
