Had an excellent experience with Legacy. The directions are very easy to follow, and they are extremely fast with the product being returned and sending out the results. Would highly recommend.
The first half of service
I’m writing this review preemptively, having just completed the process of storing my sperm. It’s possible I’ll write a different review in a few years when it comes time to use it. Ali was extremely helpful throughout the process. I had a specific request to review the analysis of my first sample before committing to storage, and Ali even offered a patrial refund if I was unsatisfied. I was pleasantly surprised by the health of my sample, especially considering it was shipped overnight. Based on that experience, I decided to proceed with long-term storage. I am a public service worker and am regularly exposed to harmful chemicals as part of my job. The company acknowledged this and offers a reasonable discount, which I greatly appreciate. In a few years, when it’s time to retrieve my samples and evaluate how well they’ve been preserved, I’ll be sure to update this review. For now, I’m very satisfied with the experience.
Quick and easy
Shipped quickly and everything was explained well. My only complaint is that the vial of liquid that comes with the kit is extremely difficult to open.

We live somewhere where it's very difficult to get a semen analysis without a month or more long wait. Ali at Legacy walked us through the process and we had a kit in hand and accurate results within a week. The easiest medical test I've ever gone through. Dare I say the process was even enjoyable.
Fantastic Sperm Kit
My wife and I have been trying to get pregnant for the past 6 months. The Legacy Kit gave us peace of mind to learn that my fertility numbers were in the normal range. We were able to provide the report to our fertility doctor to help rule out a problem with my semen. The kit arrived promptly and had easy directions to follow. I highly recommend this kit for any couple looking to learn more about their semen health data.
Testing Made Simple
The process was simple, discreet and very easy to follow. Many testing options to choose from. Anywhere from a simple analysis to the addition of DNA fragmentation or cryopreservation of the sample. The kit made it back to the lab the very next day and results quickly followed. Would recommend to anyone looking for an easy and effective way of testing fertility.

I had a great experience with Legacy. The process was super easy from start to finish, and the turnaround time for results was really fast. Knowing the testing is done in a CLIA certified lab made me feel confident in the accuracy of the results. I was especially impressed with the post thaw motility and liked that they offer DNA fragmentation testing, which isn’t always easy to find. Overall, it felt reliable, well organized and low stress.

Had an amazing experience. had a vasectomy and used their post vasectomy product. From start to finish, high level quality of product and service. I cared about clinical validation and clia certification, they were the best option out there.
CLIA certified service
My wife and I are planning on using IVF in the future and Legacy was the only CLIA certified mail-in sperm kit service we found and that was a requirement from our clinic. They helped get three samples stored without a hitch, even added DNA fragmentation testing too. Great service.
Highly recommended
I knew I wanted the procedure but wanted to keep my options open for the future. I decided to freeze my sperm before my vasectomy, and Legacy made the process so easy. The kit arrived quickly, and the instructions were pretty straightforward. The detailed analysis gave me a lot of confidence in the quality of what I was storing. It’s really a small price to pay for knowing that I can start a family in the future. Highly recommended.
Incredibly seamless experience
Legacy was incredibly quick and easy to use, without sacrificing quality. The test truly felt clinic grade (I was able to use it when I went to my doctor), and they even offered DNA fragmentation analysis - something that you typically can only get through a fertility clinic. The whole experience was seamless and way better than having to go to a clinic. I've already recommended to a bunch of friends who are trying to have kids.

I needed a DNA fragmentation test and couldn’t find an at home service that offered that type of testing. Legacy had what I needed and the process was easy and affordable.
Easy and convenient
It was super easy and convenient overall. Being able to collect the sample at home was way more comfortable than doing it in a doctor’s office, and it was way cheaper compared to using a sperm bank. I also really liked getting regular updates throughout the process and being able to see the quality of my samples at the end.
My doctor was right!
My doctor recommended I do this before I start my HRT. They told me this company would be just as good as any lab and much easier - they weren't wrong!! The closest office for me to get this done is over an hour away and terrifying since it requires multiple appointments. Here I did everything online from home. When I looked into it I found out they are fully CLIA certified just like the lab I would be using at the University hospital which made me feel better. Everything on line was affirming, they used my proper pronouns and preferred name. The package was so subtle - no one in my house even knew what it was. The best thing was that I got results back so fast so I didn't have to delay finally starting my HRT!!! And they do something called a "post thaw motility" which means when I go to use this in the future, my docs will know exactly what they have ahead of time. They also offer STI testing and DNA fragmentation which my doctor said I didn't need in this case but it was great to know they really do all the same things any other medical lab does. And they do it WAY more conveniently
Caution
I used Legacy to bank sperm before a scheduled vasectomy. Their website showed that their lab would be open to receive my final pre-procedure sample, so I shipped it as instructed. After it was sent, I was told the lab was actually closed and the transport media would expire before they reopened—making the sample medically unusable. That sample was my last chance to bank sperm before surgery. Legacy later acknowledged the confusion between their website and their internal holiday closure and refunded only part of the cost, offering replacement kits after the vasectomy—which cannot replace what was lost. This is an extremely time-sensitive, life-altering service. A failure of coordination between shipping, lab hours, and customer communication resulted in irreversible loss of reproductive material. I would strongly caution anyone relying on them for pre-procedure fertility preservation to double-verify lab intake dates in writing before shipping. *Ahh, very interesting response. Before they posted it, they offered me a partial refund if I removed my review and signed an NDA waiving any rights to pursue legal action.

Deceptive logistics causing extreme anxiety. NOT for West Coast customers.
I purchased the expensive "For Tomorrow" bundle ($1495) expecting premium medical service, but what I got was a logistical nightmare. Misleading Location: Their marketing makes you feel they are accessible, but their lab is on the East Coast (NJ/NY). If you live in California like me, your sensitive biological sample has to travel across the entire continent. Logistics Failure: I followed their instructions, but my sample was stuck in transit for days due to their poor planning around holidays. For a medical service that requires temperature control, this is unacceptable. Emotional Damage: The uncertainty and delays caused me immense panic and stress. When you are banking sperm for the future, you need reliability, not excuses. If you are on the West Coast, do NOT use Legacy. They cannot guarantee the safety of your sample during shipping. I deeply regret paying this much for such unreliable service.

I do want to clarify one point for accuracy: we have overnight shipping nationwide, and our transit times - already the fastest in the industry - are actually shortest from California. That said, your experience during a high-volume holiday shipping period clearly fell short of the standard we set for our premium services. Our kits are validated to maintain temperature stability well beyond standard transit windows, but that does not change how distressing it is when tracking or transit delays occur.
