Overpriced, poor function, worse customer service
Amazingly overpriced for a collar that hardly functions. The feedback features are inaccurate based off your dog’s location, the battery is unreliable, and the feedback options themselves are insufficient for dogs with any sort of working drive/prey drive. I live in a rural area & trained my dog on leash with this, only to see firsthand the inconsistent feedback being provided to my dog (when well within property lines) & the inadequate feedback response when at my marked boundary lines. The battery was extremely poor & I was unable to trust this collar. I effectively used my membership for 1 month when we had some pretty major life events, so forgot to reach out about this waste of money. When I did reach out, customer service did not even look into refunding any of my subscription (I paid for a year), nor did they offer to cancel my subscription on my behalf. The collar is nonreturnable at this point & it’s clear that this company does not give a damn about customer satisfaction. I would save your money & not buy this collar. There are better ways to ensure your dog’s safety. I am not a fan of Cesar, but gave this a shot to help with my dog’s acclimating to our new home, about $700 later, I have now learned my lesson & doubled down on my dislike of Cesar/his “brand” overall.

The Halo 5 is a welcome addition to our home. It gives our dog the freedom to be outside that he wants
I just had the best customer support ever, so I'm writing a review about it.
At first, the collar I had stopped working. It was within the limited warranty, and they upheld their end of the deal, and low and behold -- we got our probably refurbished but that's okay Halo Collar!
Then -- gasp -- someone steals it. Someone literally stole it right off of my dog when I wasn't looking. Or, it fell off, and someone snatched it. I don't know. But someone else has it.
So I'm thinking, I have to buy a new collar, right? And I'm looking into options, and then -- WABAM -- Halo Collar writes back that they will replace the stolen collar -- WITHOUT a catch!
WABAM!
Love the company. Hate the dude (or dudett) who stole my collar.

The Halo collar is better than I ever thought
The Halo collar is better than I ever imagined. On our small farm we are able to set up the boundaries of our entire property. We would never have been able to do that with electric fencing or standard fencing. In addition, we can check where she is at any time. It creates a no stress situation for us. It's so simple to use and all you need is the collar and your phone. It's a dream come true for a dog and her family.

Our dog Bleu was a proud tester for the Halo 5 collar, and we’ve been absolutely thrilled with it. The size and comfort are perfect, the battery life is phenomenal, and the GPS accuracy has been spot-on. We previously had the Halo 3, which we loved, but this new version is truly next level. Every improvement feels intentional, and it’s clear Halo listened to user feedback. Outstanding job!

The Halo 5 is much more streamlined that my previous Halo 3. The battery life is also longer and it is easier to charge. I did have one day that I got a low battery warning for no known reason. Perhaps I didn't get it charged completely the night before? It only happened the once. I can't imagine having a dog without a Halo collar and the Halo 5 is the best yet.
We absolutely love our Halo collar! It’s been a total game-changer for our family. Being able to travel with our dog and have peace of mind knowing she’s safely within her boundaries is priceless. One of our favorite features is the GPS tracking—on the rare occasion she slips out, we can instantly see her location. The added bonus? Tracking her activity levels, which helps us make sure she’s staying healthy and getting enough exercise. Highly recommend for any dog owner looking for freedom and safety all in one.
