Avoid this company at all costs. This was some of the most appalling customer service and treatment I have ever received. I booked an apartment in Greece via Booking.com and received a message from Holidu asking me for payment that I’d already made. Even when I offered evidence of my receipt and proof of payment, they dug their heels in and insisted I had to pay. Afraid of the trustworthiness of the company I requested a cancellation… and they ghosted me. I sent several messages, and heard nothing back. In the end I had to cancel the payment via my bank and have conversations with booking.com regarding the scamming agenda of Holidu. Thankfully booking.com expedited a free cancellation. Appalling customer service and exploitative attempts to force customers to double pay. All this from a company that claims they want to make property booking easy and ethical. Take my warning - avoid. Don’t let these people ruin your holiday.

Avoid Holidu at all costs. We booked a villa based on explicit, written reassurance from a Holidu customer service agent confirming the property featured a private outdoor pool. This was a flat-out lie to get our money.Upon arrival, we discovered there is no pool and never has been. The host was lovely and explicitly confirmed that Holidu completely falsified her listing data across the internet. When we immediately reported this massive breach of contract, Holidu's insulting automated AI chatbot trapped us in endless loops, completely missed the point, and automated a stressful complaint against our innocent host instead of providing human help. People work incredibly hard all year to save up for a single week away with their family. Instead of enjoying a chilled, relaxed holiday at the villa, we spent critical holiday hours trapped fighting a customer service bot, and we were forced to constantly drive around in a foreign country, spending significant extra money out of our own pockets on beach parking and sun lounger rentals just to access water. When humans finally took over the case days later, they showed absolutely zero empathy for the immense stress and disappointment they caused my family. They treated us like an annoying inconvenience rather than a defrauded customer. They flatly refused a full refund, gave us an impossible ultimatum to vacate mid-stay during peak July high season when there are zero alternatives, and forced a completely inadequate €334.61 formula on us that doesn't even cover our baseline daily out-of-pocket expenses to replace the amenity they lied about. This is a disgraceful, deceitful platform. They ruined our hard-earned holiday, left us financially penalized for their own system errors, and possess zero corporate empathy. We will absolutely never use this company again.

What a disappointment

What a disappointment this mob cancelled my booking with a week to go. I was so looking forward to my Dubrovnik adventure. Now im left paying for flights and nowhere to stay. I would not ever recommend this business ever. Not a reason not a sorry. I was booked for 17 July 2026. But it won't let me post as this is 12th July. Ive changed the date to warn others and as proof of it being before my booking.

Holidu, I need you to give me my money back. Everyone, here is what happened: I booked a holiday to Tenerife back in March on Expedia. On the listing, there was absolutely NO mention of Holidu's involvement in the booking. Therefore, when I received a $1,100+ charge from a holiday company based in Germany months later, I flagged it as credit card fraud. This was my mistake (but still shady that it wasn't mentioned and the charge went through them). This is where it gets BAD. They email me telling me the payment didn't go through. I've never received an email from them. I call Expedia, I call the bank, I realize that it isn't credit card fraud, and tell my bank the release the money. I call Holidu to let them know what happened. I am on hold for 2 HOURS, just for the receptionist to tell me that everyone else has just gone home and they will need to email me with how to proceed. They email me a few DAYS later and tell me to resend the payment within 3 hours or my holiday will be CANCELLED. I don't want to pay them twice, because I don't trust them with my money. I provide them proof from my bank that the money is on its way. THEN. They ghost me! I ended up not going on my holiday at all since I don't want to get to Tenerife and have nowhere to stay. I emailed them at least 5 times over the past 1.5 weeks to no response. I cannot call them again because last time the international phone bill from being on hold from last time is $250. The kicker? Even though they said they would cancel it if I didn't pay again, they never did. They did not tell the hosts that I wasn't coming (even though I eventually told them I understood their threats as them cancelling on me). At 9 PM on the day I was supposed to be getting in, this poor couple in Tenerife asked me where I was. I had to explain the whole thing to them myself :( Holidu, this is unacceptable. Email me back. At this point, it seems like they are hoping to steal my money. Travellers, please heed my warning!
