Watch out for big increase in price on renewal!

The company significantly increases price and does not provide notice of due date or increase.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we're sorry to hear about your frustration regarding the pricing and renewal notice. To clarify, Incogni subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle, and renewal pricing can differ from any promotional rate applied to your initial term. We always aim to be transparent about this, and we're sorry if the communication around your renewal fell short of your expectations. Please don't hesitate to get in touch at [email protected] if you need any further assistance.

But it does not work...

The problem is , whatever means databrokers used to get a person's address the first time, they can do it again.Slight reduction for (the trial period) 3-5 weeks and then, 7 months on, I am receiving MORE spam calls , MORE fake texts, and MORE bogus emails. This part is my opinion: They are offering a service that no one can perform. FOr me, a complete waste of time and money.Incogni- is itself a collector of your data.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience has not met your expectations. While Incogni works to remove your personal information from data broker databases, it's important to note that new data can continue to be collected from publicly available sources, commercial transactions, or other lawful channels. This means that data removal is an ongoing process, which is why we continuously monitor supported data brokers and submit follow-up removal requests where necessary. Regarding the increase in spam calls, texts, and emails, these may continue even after your information has been removed from a broker's database, as organizations that previously obtained your data may take additional time to update their records. It's also important to note that Incogni cannot prevent communications from companies or services you have interacted with directly. We would also like to clarify that Incogni does not sell or share customers' personal data. Our processes, including our data collection and data removal practices, have been independently verified by Deloitte. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly at [email protected].

Data brokers are the bain of a lot of consumers and especially those in retirement. Since I bought the unlimited plan my scam emails and emails have been greatly reduced. It has given me more time to enjoy my time and less with dealing with "pirates". Worth the investment.

Overall customer support is good.

We've had Icogni for about 6 months & they seem to be doing exactly what we hoped they would. Any tools that are available now to help secure our identities is very important! Particularly with the onset of A.I. & all of its possible abuses. We will renew next year in 2027.

I join the chorus of users reporting new spam

I join the chorus of users reporting a sharp rise in spam after signing up. The boilerplate responses don't hold water. I used a separate, new email address for incogni. I knew I would be wasting one filter slot, but I was mostly interested in filtering only one other email, so three slots was plenty. Immediately, I saw the incogni contact email show up as being 'found' on several data brokers. My junk email exploded, with some of the most vile material I've ever seen before in my titles column. This was not "coincidental due to a previous data breach". It suggests that the dashboard information is fabricated, or that incogni is directly feeding the data brokers with the personal information that you sign up with. What ever their response might be to this message, the unique data I gave them showed up in their data broker sweeps as well as in my avalanche of spam mail. Logic does not suggest they are a legitimate service Unless they respond with some new information that clears them, I believe they may be selling information as prime filtered contacts. Update. The response in nonsense. Under the removal request for several brokers, clearly labeled 'Data Removed' is the incogni sign up information I used, including the unique email address. The best scenario that I can interpret the response under is that the brokers are using incogni's request as confirmed contact data and selling it before they have to remove it. As incogni points out, this defeats the entire purpose, and validates my point.

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns in such detail. Incogni does not sell, share, or trade your personal data—doing so would run directly contrary to the entire purpose of our service. Our business model is based on subscriptions, not on monetizing your information. The addresses you see marked on your dashboard are not your personal email being "found" by brokers. Incogni sends opt-out and deletion requests to data brokers on your behalf, and those requests are sent from Incogni-operated email addresses. What you're seeing reflects our outreach to brokers, not a discovery of your private inbox in their databases. Additionally, under regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA, any personal data contained in a data removal request may only be used to process that request—brokers are legally prohibited from repurposing it for marketing, resale, or any other use. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team at [email protected].
