Don't sleep on the app. I used to just use kayak to just book or compare flight prices, but now that I linked the app to my inbox it's my go to travel organiser. The trips feature holding all my hotels, flights and dinner reservations in one place no matter where I booked them is a game changer

I like how the packages are bundled together and discounted. Choosing the type of flight (Economy, etc.) wasn’t very clear when toggling between flights but doable. Overall, the experience was good.

Budget air lines is a scam.…
Budget air lines charged me for ticket price pluse tax pluse had to pay for seats price for ever flight. And a change for carry on. 500 dollors extra I had to pay. And for any additional luggage I had to pay a fee. Never doing business with budget airlines again.

Finding flights
Using kayak is a great way to get schedules and costs and then book a flight when you’re ready
booking alright, obnoxious follow up if you don't
I usually find booking flights a good experience, however I really dislike the fact that recently I started receiving numerous emails about searches I didn't turn into purchases. Lines like "Don't forget to book", "This is the last reminder"...only to receive more emails afterward. Obnoxious!

Because, KAYAK has been my travel partner for years now and keeping track of my travel history. Do you know that KAYAK history save me in court as I used it to exhonorate myself from a case against me?
Advertised Fare Was Unavailable Due to Checkout Errors
KAYAK displayed my desired itinerary for $1,037 and offered the option to purchase it through Underpricer. I tried to complete the booking three times, but the system repeatedly declined the transaction, incorrectly claiming there was an issue with my card. I later booked the same itinerary on Booking.com at a higher price. KAYAK continued advertising the $1,037 fare even though I was unable to purchase it. This was frustrating and misleading. If KAYAK is going to sell tickets directly through a partner, it needs a more reliable checkout process, accurate fare availability, and clearer explanations when a transaction fails.

So easy to use
Airline and rental car plans are easy to make on Kayak since they provide multiple options and prices.
Great for keeping all itinerary details
It is a great app more maintaining current and past itinerary details. As changes are made, itinerary details are updated. It automatically imports most travel details from emails received. Maintains copies of original travel documents as well as its itinerary details. Have used it for years. It has never failed me.

Have always used kayak thinking the sites listed were screened. Big surprise when I booked a flight from a company listed on kayak site - my credit card sent me a fraud alert and when I checked the site on other websites many entries said it’s a SCAM site. As well learned even Tavel Advisor no longer lists it. The information that came from them also said I’d get my PNR within 24 hours. Weird when thru booking it comes immediately. I’m a continual traveler and not a good experience. Not saying the site because I don’t want to smear a maybe legit site but now I know I can’t trust that all sites listed on kayak without deeper questioning .

Like being able to search multiple departure airports and several dates with one search. Not always getting alerts about price changes for the flights I save.
Very easy app to use
Very easy app to use. Easy to update and edit any trip, keeping flights, hotels all organized. The only weakness is when the trip is complex and involves different destinations the app cannot merge the destinations together in one same trip and treats them as separate trip. All the same it is very useful app.
Easy-to-navigate searches
Kayak has lots of search options to find just what you need without looking through reams of choices. It takes a little time to learn how they all work, but worth it. The one drawback is that the prices do not always hold when you get to the actual booking sites, and I do not like booking on third-party sites because their customer service is often terrible.
