Ordered ny 2nd inspection. Process took more days then previous. They report exterior was fresh clean paint. Only to find multiple scratches throughout the surface. Rear truck door was shifted to left and damaged. Would not purchased the vehicle or request a lower cost. Inspection was out of state. Pictures provided were incomplete, they only provided 2 exterior pictures, should have had aleast 5. Call to report issue and used return call option, no call back. Called multiple times following only to wait and be hung up on. Finally 6 hours later spoke with customer service, demanded a refund. Inform to send an email. I requested a supervisor, was told no supervisor available. Wouldn't provide email address or direct line. Told rudely no supervisor. Told I might be contacted 72 hours later. Requested refund again, customer service told me it was my problem and hung up call. Will need to contact credit card company to reverse charge. Extremely upset. 1st inspection was perfect. They failed on this one big time!!! Find another service!!!!
I wanted to try this out because I love the vin wiki channel and wanted to support them. The foreshadowing to the dealer was very poor regarding inspection turn times. I tried to get help getting the report expedited when I was told that wasnt possible I was going to ask them to call the dealer to set the right expectations. However I was hung up on 6 different times afterwords. They would pickup and hangup immediately after now I'm stuck explaining to my wife why we have to wait another week to go car shopping when we're down a minivan
Took one week - well past the contracted response time of 2 business days. Will not use again. Requested a refund but service rep was quick to say she did not have that ability. Poor service.
Save me from making a horrible purchase. After they brought everything to my attention and I called the dealership out on it they ended up wholesaling the car.
It took multiple rescheduling efforts to get the report completed, but it was very thorough. The attention to detail is excellent. Thankful for the inspection
- Ordered inspection Friday afternoon. Understood I probably would not get assigned an inspector until Monday and inspection would happen Tuesday at the earliest. - Received Saturday and Sunday morning emails indicating might be an issue because of the weekend. - Monday morning email changed indicated no need on action from me but any delays might be a scheduling issue. - Tuesday morning email said "At this stage, extended timing is usually related to access or coordination rather than inspector availability." and that issues might lie with the seller. - Contacted seller, no inspector called them to schedule. - Contacted Lemon Squad, horrible AI agent, live agent was quick. They indicated that Monday morning they knew they had no inspector in the area. - So they knew no inspector but automated emails blamed delays on the dealer. I had to demand an immediate refund. They never offered it as an option. - This delay almost cost me the ability to purchase this vehicle because of the delays. - Lemon Squad specifically advertised the city name. Google search "gainesville fl pre purchase inspection" Result: "Gainesville, FL Sponsored results Pre-Purchase Car Inspections LemonSquad Full Vehicle Evaluation — Lemon Squad offers in Gainesville, FL pre-purchase used car inspections. Schedule your inspection today. Know exactly what you're buying with a comprehensive vehicle inspection. Schedule today." I reported the sponsored ad to Google. - Delay almost cost me the ability to purchase the vehicle. DO NOT USE
I booked online on a Friday morning for a ppi in Mount Holly NJ. The inspection took place the next day and I had a report Sat night. It was well worth the price. Lemon squad pictures showed scratches(big one) and modifications that the dealerships pictures did not show.
Very thorough Inspection.
This was my first experience with a service like this and I will definitely use it again. I got an inspector the next day and a report on everything in detail with photos and videos to substantiate the assessment. I highly recommend this service
I used them last month, June 2026. They didn't remove the bottom covers and do a proper inspection. There are leaks they didn't report. Now I have to pay to have them repaired. Don't recommend them.
It was fast, very clear and detailed report!
They did what they said they would, in a timely way, at a reasonable cost. What more could you ask for. Good service at a decent price.
I had an excellent experience using Lemon Squad for a pre-purchase inspection! The entire process was incredibly smooth and easy to set up. Their inspector was very thorough and provided a detailed report with photos, giving me complete peace of mind before making my vehicle purchase. Highly recommend their services to anyone buying a used car.
You have the worst service and inexperienced inspectors. You just cheated me. I can never advice any one to use your service caz its a scam. You sent inspectors who had no experience in Box truck inspection. They were just giving comments without doing thorough inspection. I feel very bad that I was cheated.
I was looking to purchase a car out of state. I was not able to see any close up of the car except thephotol online. I decided to use Lemon Squad which I am happy that I did. Several pertinent information were left out of independent dealer listing, small dents and blemishes on the car. The inspector noted these issues and plenty of picks were taken. I can only say that if buying out of state this is a good way to gage the condition of the car interested in. Without it, I would have purchased a car that looked perfect on dealer website. Carfax showed no accidents etc. Due diligence is very important just because it shows no issues does not mean that all issues have been reported. Seeing reviews I was hesitant but when you look at the cost, I would rather be more informed about the car then basically buying as is. It saved me from spending tens of thousand of dollars on a car that I would for sure have offered quite a bit less than asking price. Overall satisfied with experience based on out of state purchase.
Excellent service, the job was completed in under 3 days. The service was thorugh and from the inspector, to the customer service reps. Everyone was so polite and helpful.
I have used them twice over the last couple of years on two different cars. Both experiences was great. The second vehicle i did not buy based on the engine error code that Lemon Squad found during its inspection. Highly recommend.
I paid for a pre-purchase inspection because timing is critical when buying a used vehicle, but the report took far too long to be delivered. The entire purpose of paying for a pre-purchase inspection is to make an informed buying decision before the vehicle is gone. Because of the delay, the inspection is essentially worthless, and the money I spent was wasted. If you’re considering Lemon Squad, be aware that the turnaround time will likely not be fast enough to help you secure the purchase. I will never use their service again. There are better options. Update #1 : it’s been 5 days, still no report!!! What a joke!!! Update #2: Day 6- still no report! Save your money and use a different service! You’ve been warned. I will be disputing the charges today if not received by 12pm.
