Complete Waste of Money – Missed Major Safety Issues & Body Damage I hired Lemon Squad expecting a professional, thorough pre-purchase inspection, but the report I received was practically useless. They completely missed multiple obvious and critical issues on the vehicle: Radiator: Was literally unattached and loose in the engine bay. Front Brakes: The pads were completely worn through to the metal—a severe safety hazard. Body & Paint: Completely overlooked obvious spray/paint work under the car. Bumper: Failed to note that the front bumper was missing its clips and improperly secured. A basic visual walk-around should have caught every single one of these items. Instead, I paid for peace of mind and received a surface-level checklist that gave a green light to a vehicle needing immediate, costly repairs. Save your money and take the car to a trusted local mechanic instead. Lemon Squad’s "inspection" missed basic safety components and structural shortcuts. Highly disappointed.

Sluggish?

Well, I had a out of town buyer ready to buy my car. Lemon guy did his inspection and test drive and had the audacity to say that my car was sluggish. My car runs great, not sure why he would lie like that. I still sold it to another buyer for less than I was going to get.

Terrible customer service

Bad things happen and it happens to everyone, thats not what this is about, issue is Lemonsquad is run by like one person and entire customer service is through an AI assistant, which is fine I use AI but the AI is not authorized to do anything! The inspector went to the truck seller and he didnt bring a code scanner and he tried to call, I was on another call and called back immediately, I cant reach him instead it goes to scout or whatever(their AI assistant) and it cant ofcourse reach the inspector nor is there a way to talk to a real person. The inspector takes my money sends me a one page report saying truck wont start and that is the end of it.

1st Timer

I had never bought a vehicle so far away before and I didn't want to risk a wasted trip. So I found this awesome company called Lemon Squad. For just over a couple hundred dollars they did a very, very complete inspection giving me the confidence to take the flight to Florida and purchased this beautiful 2016 Lincoln Navigator L. Great service and great experience. Highly recommend.

Inspection one-stop shop with quality report

Ordering and scheduling went really well - it's a high-speed one stop shop experience. Extensive video coverage of the work performed plus excellent photos that demonstrate the state of the car really well. I particularly appreciate the videos as they give an even better idea of the car.

Report Took Forever

It took over a week to receive my report after placing the order, including more than three days of the report sitting in review. The customer service experience was frustrating—there is no way to reach a live person, and the automated phone AI promises a follow-up from a representative that never comes. That said, while the report was briefer than the sample provided, it was still very helpful, and the 100+ included photos were extremely useful."

Seems to be a thorough job

They did what I paid them for. Its important to get the low down before making a major investment like this. I've always had this done when buying used cars but for an RV I had it done on a new one. There are no guarantees though. Despite the inside knowledge, on my second night in my new RV the AC died and I'm now waiting for a replacement. That goes in the say lah vee category. No reflection on Lemon Squad

While it took a little longer than the two days I was expecting from the website, the inspection was thorough and very helpful. The inspector was experienced and knowledgeable. The inspection description and photos gave me confidence to make a fair offer and purchase.

Incessant delays for a week and counting!

I ordered a pre-purchase inspection for an out-of-state car purchase from a FL dealer on 7/25/26 and as of 7/31/26, the inspection is yet to be performed and the AI customer service agent gives the same canned response when I repeated called the Lemon Squad customer service for an update and requested expedited service. Their refund policy helps them to scam people out of their money and not perform timely service.

Great experience, very professional

I’ve used Lemon Squad several times to inspect cars for me that I couldn’t do myself. They are very quick to get the inspection done and everyone I’ve dealt with has been very friendly, professional, and helpful. I would definitely recommend, and will be using them in the future.

350.00 for a commercial truck…

350.00 for a commercial truck inspection and did not include a computer scan. I then get the inspection delayed for a whole week and the report wasn't available until 10 days after I ordered the inspection. Aside from the delays it is impossible to get a hold of anyone to answer your questions and get some sort of a time frame or answer questions such as if it includes computer scan on the inspection etc. Overall it was not worth the price. I feel ripped off. The inspection did not give me any more confidence if I am making a good purchase or not.

I have to say that they were as responsive as they could possibly be. I very much appreciate that. It must be very difficult to coordinate the logistics of deployed technicians on short notice. I had the impression, as a potential private party buyer, that I could request an inspection quickly to avoid placing the seller at a disadvantage in showing the vehicle. I used your service once and the shop of a local mechanic and I must say that the local mechanics report was more thorough.

Delayed Report Defeated the Purpose of the Inspection

I chose Lemon Squad because they advertise a fast turnaround, which is exactly what I needed for a pre-purchase inspection. My vehicle was inspected on July 21, and as of the morning of July 25, I still had not received the inspection report. A pre-purchase inspection is only valuable if you receive the results quickly enough to make an informed decision. If the seller has other interested buyers, or is waiting for your answer, several days without the report can put you at a real disadvantage and may even cost you the vehicle. If timing is important to your purchase, my experience did not match the fast turnaround that led me to choose Lemon Squad.

Out of state Buyer

I was relying on lemon squad as an out of state purchaser. The inspection took several days to get back and when I got it back a test drive was not done. I flew in to do a self inspect because it took so long for the inspection to come back. Upon driving, I found there to be issues with the AC as well as potential suspension issues. When I finally got the inspection back there was no documentation of either AC concerns or suspension concerns. I have been trying to get a live person on the line for several days to address the concerns that I have and have been met with dropped calls and AI auto attendant. Would love to hear from a live person to address my concerns, but have not gotten a call back yet.

LemonSquad inspection for out of state vehicle

Paid for a pre-purchase inspection so I wouldn't buy someone else's problems. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened. I found major brake vibration on my first drive, a significant oil leak, and power running board issues almost immediately after taking possession. Instead of explaining how these were missed, Lemon Squad just kept sending the same canned response about their inspection being "visual and non-invasive." I wasn't asking for a warranty—I was asking why obvious issues weren't caught. The customer service was just as disappointing as the inspection. I won't use them again. They could improve by not having canned responses such as it's visual and non invasive. In one of the photos you could zoom in and see cut wires. I diddnt catch it because I didn't think I needed to indirect the inspector's work. All in all it was a mistake ever trusting them!
