What people say

As a wheelchair user I was impressed.

As a wheelchair user I was very pleased with both the communication before I attended (I've been to both Manchester and Birmingham) including assuring me that staff on site had been informed, and the quality of the venues. Its a shame the refreshments at both sites suffered issues (broken coffee machine in Manchester, limited staffing in Birmingham) but this wasn't the companies fault. Overall, a very good experience, I'll accept future invitations (especially if outside London!).

Late start, late finish

Told it would start at 16:45, finish by 19:00: we sat down in theatre at 16:45, nothing happened until contestants came in 17:00. Recording started 17:15, still going on at 19:30 .... I had a train to catch. One contestant clearly had hearing problems, it was (presumably) known about from the first round but no preparation for it - long pause while staff failed to improve hearing for her.

Great experience

Once we arrived the experience was good. Helpful staff to guide us to the room. It’s quite a trek down to the bar (2 long flights of stairs) The bar was only manned by one person so he was very busy and the interval was very short! Apart from that everything was great and we enjoyed being part of the radio programme and seeing how it was all done.

It was fun to listen to Brain of…

It was fun to listen to Brain of Britain, and attend two of the semifinals. The venue was the real star, as the Birmingham Conservatoire, Bradshaw Hall is a superb venue for any kind of recording. There was a bit of waiting around at the start, and it took longer than advertised. But we enjoyed the questions.

Birmingham recording of Brain of Britain

I came across a Birmingham recording of Brain of Britain when registering interest for another show. I arrived early and noticed someone with laptop who asked if I was there for the recording - quite informal. While waiting in the cafe area, a young lady asked if she was in the right place. She had entered via another route, I directed her to check-in which was by then quite busy as admission time was close. "Doors close 4:45" but people were still admitted at 5:00 when recording was due to start. The Semi-Final recording was in fact 3 semi-finals - a nice bonus - but production issues led to running on beyond the planned finish. There was to be a planned interval, but it just sort of happened after the first recording - an announcement would have been useful (not sure if this is Lost in TV or BBC responsibility). My experience was very good, although others nearby were discussing changes in time when tickets arrived.

Recording of Brain of Britain for Radio 4

Went to last two recordings of Brain of Britain for 2026 Time of recording was altered slightly to an earlier time and also given less time to get there until doors shut. However once there it was very well organised. We were given wristbands and the proceedings were very well explained in a friendly and amusing manner by the producer. A very enjoyable experience.

An interesting afternoon out

After receiving an invitation to attend the Brain of Britain though our Probus Club, we decided to go to the recording of the last Semi-Final and the Final at Birmingham Conservatoire. The booking was straightforward and there were plenty of seats available. The organisation was good, the sound was excellent, and the recording ran according to plan. It was particularly interesting to see how ‘live’ programmes like this are made.

Overall, a positive experience in excellent venue

Once inside the excellent venue, the recording went well. However, the sitting around for a long time prior to being taken to hall could have been improved i.e. having drinks available -cafe was not open. Overall ,I would attend something similar in the future.

Absolutely disgusting- After inviting…

Absolutely disgusting- After inviting us to attend a recording and sending numerous reminders of our ticket allocation, this comapny refused us entry as they had over allocated the tickets. I arrived with two elderly relatives who were so disappointed especially after a difficult journey and large costs. Their ticketing process is, quite frankly, unacceptable. Issuing tickets that do not guarantee entry, while continuing to send confirmation reminders, is misleading and resulted in a thoroughly distressing and avoidable experience. I would never accept any invitations again from this company, they are an absolute disgrace

QI through Lost In TV

We've used Lost In TV for audience tickets several times over the years. They are very quick to confirm tickets, which is good as you have time to plan your day. I have health issues, and always let the team know. They arrange seating for me and, on occasion, have fast tracked me through security, for which I'm very grateful. This time we went to an afternoon recording of QI. Previously we've been to evening recordings. The afternoon viewing was an absolute dream for us, and hope there will be more of them in the future. Well done Lost In TV

Well worth the experience

Had been on the waiting list to see a recording of QI for a few years, without hearing anything. But a month ago I had the email for requesting a slot. As we had a bit of a way to travel, we had the plus tickets. Still had a bit of a wait to get it, but the whole show recording was great. Sandi was very welcoming, and had a quiz with the audience. The studio did get rather warm, so glad we were there in February rather than the summer. But it was well worth the experience.

Making inevitable process as easy as possible

The security and audience guides are very welcoming, helpful and in variable cheerful. Information is clear both in the run up and at the event. They try very hard, given there is no seat booking, to not split up couples or more and to seat those with mobility issues in appropriate seating. Though personally sad I cannot book more than once for a series, I do understand and appreciate this is to be able to accommodate as many people as possible. Yes we have to queue but nothing of the getting into the studio detracts from enjoying the recording itself.
